That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.A NOTE FROM MEEKA'S FOSTER:I have been fostering Meeka for several months. She is adorable and charming. This love bug is eager to find her forever home where she can be the center of attention. Meeka is not just cute, she's incredibly smart, a little bit mischievous, and loves to please her person. She'll snuggle with you, play with her toys, and keep you entertained. Meeka will thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention, which is why she would do best as the only pet in the household. She loves being the star of the show and having all the love and attention to herself. While Meeka is incredibly loving and awesome, she prefers a calm and serene environment, making her not suitable for small children. She craves a peaceful atmosphere where she can relax and enjoy the company of her favorite humans. Meeka is house broken and does fine being left on her own in the house. Squirt is always eager to please. He is a sweet boy! Sometimes he seems like an old soul in a 10 week old puppy body and then other times he is very eager to play! He loves his toys and chewing bones in his bed. Squirt also loves to be a snuggle buddy with his people! He is crate trained and is doing well working on his house training. So stop me if you have heard this one...... I was walking down the road, minding my own business when BAM! I was hit by a car!!! You haven't heard this one yet??? Well, sit back and relax and let me tell you my story of despair and hard work and now, REDEMPTION!!! Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy (a little gray)face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I WALK again! I am pretty independent now and ready for the COUCH of my dreams! Look at my video and see how far I have come. I am great with other dogs, all people and for my safety sake would LOVE a KID OF MY OWN!! I actually am AMAZING WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS :) I just seem to have a special connection with the special kids and sure hope to find one to be my bestest friend!! Right up front… We received a sponsorship donation to help with Andys adoption fee, so it’s been reduced to $400. Andy is a lovable dog who will never leave your side. He likes long walks and loves to sniff anything and everything along the way! Loves to give kisses. Becomes overwhelmed Easily if his boundaries or territories are crossed. House broken, crate trained, needs a fenced in yard. Definitely more suited for a one-dog owner. Cats are ok, and maybe adult kids, he is curious about other dogs ( I can talk you through that) but he can become easily triggered, through car glass, fencing, and protective over his family. He’s very Protective over his home and his people. Needs time to warm up to new people and he likes to feel like he is in charge, being an Alpha which needs to controlled and put in his place, but once he is comfortable, he will be your best friend and trusted companion for life. Very low-maintenance otherwise, although he’s a very hairy guy, brushing is a must. Can be left alone for long periods of time - does not chew or get into anything he's not supposed to. Likes to be right next to you on the couch and the bed. Well-trained - knows place, down, stay, sit, and working on heel. Loves peanut butter as a treat. We transport every other week to a location near you with the most animal friendly transport - Rescue Riders Transport.
