Meet Paul Newman! This little heartthrob is as sweet as he is adorable. Paul Newman is ready for the good life; a loving home with a family to call his own. Can you believe someone dumped this little fellow, along with his two brothers way out in the country, thrown out like trash. Luckily, the brothers found their way to the home of a Good Samaritan who reached out to us asking if we rescue the pus...of course we said YES. Paul Newman is ready for his FOREVER HOME. Is that you? If you are interested, please contact us by email at cox_ann@bellsouth.net

Story
So stop me if you have heard this one...... I was walking down the road, minding my own business when BAM! I was hit by a car!!! You haven't heard this one yet??? Well, sit back and relax and let me tell you my story of despair and hard work and now, REDEMPTION!!! Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy (a little gray)face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I WALK again! I am pretty independent now and ready for the COUCH of my dreams! Look at my video and see how far I have come. I am great with other dogs, all people and for my safety sake would LOVE a KID OF MY OWN!! I actually am AMAZING WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS :) I just seem to have a special connection with the special kids and sure hope to find one to be my bestest friend!! In return for your family and love I will give you my WHOLE life of love and happiness. I mean, look into my gorgeous soulful eyes and ADOPT ME!!! My foster mom can tell you all about who I am and you can decide to adopt me! ***This dog has a special need from her family. Please identify how you will continue her special care when you adopt her- Noel has bilateral hip dysplasia as well as weakness in her back end. She gets around very well, but needs monitoring and a quiet home. She takes joint supplements daily for life and anti inflammatory meds.**** Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area. Temporary $50 fuel fee will be applied)

Story
Zues is a handsome boy that unbelievably his first owners did not want anymore.  We guess the novelty of his puppy days were over and he was now needing some daily attention and time and they were not interested anymore.  This is a boy that is going to need some patience as he settles in and learns that food will be there for him every day.  He is a little protective and overly interested in feeding time right now.  The chains do that to dogs.  We suggest no young children but any over 12 years is fine.  he wants to take food from the young ones sometimes. He loves to talk to the people at the vet’s front desk and he greets everyone in the waiting room while trying to see the vet.  He is just 2 years old and weighs 52 pounds.  He is neutered and healthy and handsome as can be.  It is best if his new home does not have very young children. We think he is a Golden Retriever mix and he has all the personality traits of one.  He is housebroken, learning a crate and he is not destructive or a heavy chewer.  He loves other dogs and he rides so nicely in the car, like he’s done it all the time.  Don’t think too long on inquiring about Zeus because he will be GONE.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you would like an application sent to you.  He is in Nashville, TN but we transport northward also.    PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 25, 2024, 10:00 pm

Story
Bugsy is a handsome Golden Retriever and Poodle that has the softest fur and the most important part is that he has the softest and sweetest personality.   This 5 month old Golden Doodle is 39 pounds and just the most loving and easy boy you will ever meet.   You know all the rumors on how crazy the Doodles are?  Not Bugsy.   Critter Cavalry Rescue actually bought this boy from a backyard breeder who had the dirtiest place ever.  We did a “mercy purchase” to get he and his brother out of the most horrible conditions.  To our amazement these two boys were just CHILLED and happy and loving and easy.  We could not believe there was no emotional damage.  This boy is so much fun and so very handsome since we groomed him.   He is neutered and all vaccines given and microchipped with a full vet exam done.  This boy will be a 65 pound pup that a family will treasure and cherish for a very long time.  If you are interested in one of the Best Golden Doodles on the planet, please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and we will be very careful to review for a fenced yard, someone home quite a bit, maybe even older children for him to play with.  A dog playmate that is a good adult mentor would be exceptional as well but not necessary!   We have a Golden Doodle gold mine to offer with Bugsy.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 25, 2024, 10:00 pm

Story
Name: Clyde Sex: Male Estimated Age: About 1 year old (as of 2/1) Best Guess for Breed: Great Pyrenees Mix Weight: About 60 lbs Good With: Dogs and people (including kids!). We haven’t seen Clyde interact yet with cats, but happy to test him out. Story: Clyde was rescued locally in Maryland. Clyde is a super sweetie that loves all people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. His foster says he listens well, understands basic commands, walks well on the leash and is great with their daughter. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Clyde is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. As a puppy, Clyde will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! CLYDE’S PERFECT MATCH: PERFECT FAMILY: Clyde is a friendly, playful, smart, obedient, and lovable puppy. He is house broken and well behaved. He is very trainable. He gets along with people of all ages and other dogs. He is perfect for a family or an energetic individual/couple that will take him in as their own and will play with him and help him get exercise.  PERFECT HOME: A fenced in yard would be preferential, however, as long as he gets plenty of walks and is able to visit his friends at a dog park. He is mild-mannered and laid back for a puppy, but will get excited seeing another dog. He also loves to play fetch. BEHAVIOR IN HOME: Clyde is potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go. He loves his chew toys. In the home and yard he stays close to his people and often likes to snuggle with people or other dogs. He has not been observed with cats.  CRATE: He sleeps in his kennel at night and goes in with little prodding. He is not happy initially when you leave for the day but settles in within a few minutes and is well rested when you return home. FUN FACT:  He loves ice cubes and runs to the ice maker every time it is in use. If you think that Clyde might be your perfect match, apply today!       February 25, 2024, 5:37 pm

Story
Meet Annabelle (fka Popcorn)! Annabelle is a cuddler extraordinaire! She's very soft and she loves attention... can you tell by that face?! She is very quiet: no whining or barking. Annabelle is housetrained and only chews on her toys. She is a young girl with lots of energy, so she'll need a yard or at least 2 long walks a day. Foster mom takes her on a 2 mile walk before work and Annabelle is good after that. She gets along with her 4-legged foster brother, but not a toy sharer, at this point. She does need a little work with resource guarding (food and toys) and learning how to be a good leash walker. Annabelle is just about perfect and with a little love and patience, she'll be there in no time! The adoption fee for this dog is $350 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. Petconnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Pepper is a high energy, happy Goldendoodle/Pit Bull mix who is active, wiggly and loves to run. Pepper is ready to learn his basic doggy manners and is just a puppy at 11 months old. Pepper’s birthday is this month and he is hoping he will find someone who has time for some fun training and activities. He would enjoy being your hiking partner and going outside for sniffing walks. Pepper is 70lbs and needs someone strong and consistent. He is learning to sit for attention instead of jumping up. He does not like to be left alone and is vocal so he would not be a good match for an apartment/condo/townhome. If you let him get too excited, he is mouthy and will put his mouth on your hands, so he would be a good match for an adult home or a home with older teenagers that can be part of his training. He is a fun dog and very sweet if he just gets enough exercise. Pepper was introduced to a female dog and he was very respectful of her space. When she told him to back down, he listened.  He also met an adult neutered male dog and he was also respectful. He is very playful and if you have a dog at home, you can bring them by during our Animal Viewing Hours below to see if their playstyles match. Location: Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center 8576 Davis Rd Columbia, MD 21045 You can call first to see if this pet is still available: 410-313-2780 Option 0. Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
