Can we all just take a second to appreciate this face? Seriously... those big brown teddy bear eyes should come with a warning because one look at them and you're done for. Millie Mae has that sweet, innocent puppy look that makes you want to scoop her up, wrap her in a blanket, and promise her she's never going to have another bad day again. She's still figuring out this whole big world thing, but every single day her little personality shines a little brighter, and watching her confidence grow is honestly one of the cutest things you'll ever see. As with any rescue puppy, her exact breed is always a mystery, but our best guess is a Golden Retriever/Chihuahua mix. We know... it sounds like a combination that shouldn't exist, but somehow here she is. She has the soft golden coloring, sweet face, and slightly longer coat that remind us of a Golden Retriever, all wrapped up in a much smaller package. Whether that's actually what she is or not, one thing we know for sure is she's absolutely perfect. Millie is just a baby, and because she hasn't experienced a whole lot of life yet, she can be a little shy when she first encounters something new. The nice thing is that it doesn't take long before curiosity wins over and her sweet personality starts to shine. Once she realizes she's safe, she's incredibly affectionate and quickly turns into a total cuddle bug. She's the kind of puppy that happily melts into your lap after playtime and looks at you like you're her whole world. It's hard not to completely fall for her. Like any good puppy, Millie loves to play, but she has a really nice balance about her. She's currently fostered with other dogs and has done wonderfully with all of them. She enjoys running around, playing with her foster siblings, and having fun, but she also knows when she's ready for a break and is perfectly happy settling down for some quiet time. She doesn't feel like a puppy that's constantly bouncing off the walls. Instead, she has those adorable bursts of puppy energy followed by plenty of naps and cuddles. Millie also recently met our house cat, Biggie, and she handled the introduction beautifully. She was respectful, didn't chase him, wasn't bothered by Biggie hopping around or doing typical cat things, and Biggie seemed completely comfortable around her as well. Since this was our first time seeing Millie interact with a cat, we can't promise how she'd do in every situation, but it was a wonderful first introduction. If you already have a cat at home, we're happy to arrange a kitty sleepover before adoption so everyone can make sure it's a good match. For such a young puppy, Millie is already proving to be a smart little girl. She loves treats, always takes them gently, and has already learned how to sit. She also loves carrying toys around the house and is surprisingly good at entertaining herself, happily tossing a toy around or chewing on it while her foster goes about their day. Of course, she's also more than happy if someone wants to join in and play with her. Millie has been doing well with crate training overall. Like most young puppies, she may bark or whine every now and then, but she's making great progress. She's also doing really well with potty training. At just 3 months old, accidents are still a normal part of puppyhood, but she's picking up the routine quickly and is well on her way to understanding where she's supposed to go. Because she's still so young, Millie is looking for a family that's excited to help her continue learning about the world. With a little patience, consistency, and lots of love, we think she's going to grow into an incredible companion. Sven wakes up happy every single day. He’s the kind of dog that always seems to be smiling, always ready for whatever comes next, and always excited to be part of things without becoming overwhelming or chaotic. Sven is a one-year-old mix breed who has the coat and face of a golden retriever and the compact build of a heeler. He has a great middle-ground personality that makes him easy to live with. When it’s time to play, go for a walk, or hang out with other dogs, he’s fully in. But once the excitement is over, he settles down nicely instead of endlessly bouncing off the walls.
