Story
If you’ve been dreaming of a Golden Retriever puppy, your search may just be over. Samba is 3-month-old fluff ball, currently weighing 14 pounds, and appears to be a Golden Retriever mixed puppy based on her beautiful mama and her appearance, although as with all rescue dogs, her breed is simply our best educated guess. What we do know is that Samba has been raised in a home where she has learned that life is full of love, play, and has learned great manners.
She all of her cute fluffy self here! https://youtu.be/HZddu0xZOyo
She is already using a doggy door, happily shares toys and treats with her siblings, and has a wonderful calm, easygoing personality. Her foster dad spends time with her and her siblings every evening after work, making sure they receive plenty of playtime, affection, and positive socialization.
Samba loves her stuffies and you will find her exploring and making sure she says hello to everyone she meets! Samba is the socialite out of her sisters. She did great meeting a senior female Pitbull and a small terrier. She was inquisitive but respectful. Samba does love her treats but will not guard them from any of the dogs or people. She is wiggly in a balanced way, she doesn’t overwhelm the dogs, people or children. She loves to grab the yellow stuffie duck and toss it to herself if there is no one to play with. She loves to play chase and tag with the other dogs.
Her sweet mama has the gentle, loving temperament Golden Retrievers are known for, and it’s clear these puppies inherited every bit of it. She has done a fantastic job of showing her puppies all the important skills and social cues a puppy needs. She has been raised alongside the foster’s large male German Shepherd and a 7-month-old baby, giving them an incredible foundation for family life. When I went to meet them for the first time, I had my 4 year old niece with me and I immediately noticed that they were not jumping on her, biting at ankles or clothes 😅 In fact one of the times that I went to visit I thought no one was home because there was no barking outside or in the house when I approached the fence or went inside!
They are affectionate without being overwhelming, curious without being wild, and so far have shown themselves to be remarkably quiet puppies. They would much rather cuddle up beside you, trot around the back yard or gnaw on a toy than bark for attention.
Their fluffy coats and sweet personalities make them impossible not to fall in love with. Whether they’re chasing a toy, flopping over for belly rubs, or following you around the yard, these puppies simply want to be part of whatever you’re doing.
We have three gorgeous girls who look just like their beautiful mama and three handsome blonde boys, each with that classic Golden Retriever charm everyone falls in love with.
Be prepared… choosing just one may be the hardest decision you’ll make.
Like every puppy, Samba will continue learning as she grows, but she has already shown herself to be bright, eager to please, and wonderfully receptive to guidance. She is exactly the kind of puppy who makes raising a young dog feel exciting rather than intimidating or a drag.
Samba isn't just looking for a home. She's looking for the people she'll spend a lifetime growing up with. The ones she'll greet after school, follow into the kitchen, ride shotgun on road trips, and make laugh for years to come. If you're ready for a loyal companion with an exceptional start and an even brighter future, Samba is ready to come home!
