Story
Personality: He is awesome with children, we have 3 under 8yo. He is good with other dogs. Cats I'm not sure as we have never been around but he likes chasing squirrels in our backyard. Not leash trained. Crate trained and housebroken. He knows "sit down" and is very smart/trainable. Max is a sweet dog but with a severe adult PTSD. We are pretty sure he run from an abusive home and even after 2 years with us, he still fears adults he doesn't know. So taking him to the vet is an adventure. Grooming is impossible. We tried even with groomers specialized with anxious dogs and Max would not let them cut his hair. No history of biting or aggression, though he barks like crazy to adults he doesn't know but do not attack them when they come inside, instead he runs away. He would need someone patience that would be willing to train him well to trust other adults other than regular caregivers.

Story
Say hello to Maggie! At 5 years old and 35 pounds, this Goldendoodle is nothing short of breathtaking with a gorgeous golden coat with waves for days. Maggie's personality matches her looks: she's affectionate, easygoing, and does wonderfully around other dogs, making her a great match for a household with a furry friend already in place. She's crate trained, though housetraining is still a work in progress, so her adopters will want to keep up that training once she's home. Maggie also needs some practice walking nicely on leash, so a securely fenced yard suited to a 35-pound dog will give her plenty of room to roam safely and happily. Loving, lovely, and full of potential, Maggie just needs the right family to help her keep growing. Is that family yours? Maggie's adoption fee is $660 and she is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. If you'd like to know more about this sweet girl, please fill out an adoption survey at furkids.org/adopt and our team will get in touch with you to chat more and schedule a time to meet her. You must be 21+ to adopt.

Story
Kali is a 5 year old goldendoodle that we bought at 8 weeks old from a breeder in Georgia. She is around and 25 pounds and has absolutely been a part of this family from day one. She is a wonderful family dog, extremely cuddly and loves getting attention. She has grown up with an elderly cat, two children from infancy, and two parents who mostly work from home at a home with a fenced in backyard. She is HIGHLY intelligent, picking up tricks within a couple of tries and is highly food motivated. If there is any food around, she will find it. She can be overly intelligent, and finds ways to be defiant and has figured out that toddlers and babies are good sources of stolen food and toys. She is crate trained (though would rather sleep in bed with you) and is house and leash trained. I am looking for a new home for her with parents that can devote the time to exercising her both mentally and physically like she needs.
