Cookie is 7-8 years old. We got him many years ago when we first moved into our current house. He often ran to the other side of the neighborhood when we took him off the leash outside. He's a bit shy, but he gets very chaotic and loud at home, especially if you take him outside. He doesn't do well with being left alone, and he will scratch the doors if you leave him in an enclosed room. I hope he finds someone understanding and patient, but can still love him.

We found Birdie through a local family whose dogs had an accidental litter of 10 puppies needing homes. After five dog-free years, we felt ready to welcome a new pet into our family. We brought Birdie home at 8 weeks old, and our son instantly fell in love with her. About five months later, we learned she had detached retinas in both eyes. We were devastated, but she adjusted well inside our home and learned her surroundings quickly. As her vision declined, she developed separation anxiety and became very uncomfortable leaving her familiar environment. Car rides and travel became extremely stressful for her. Recently, she developed glaucoma in one eye, and a veterinary ophthalmologist recommended removal of the left eye. With the financial strain of treatment, her increased anxiety, and the demands of full-time work and parenting, we made the incredibly difficult decision to find her a new home where she can feel safe and supported.

He’s great with people and other dogs, and his bouncy, goofy play style will keep you laughing. Romeo walks well on a leash and knows SIT and DOWN, but his excitement can lead to some twirling, which can make walks a bit challenging at times. He’ll do best with an experienced owner who can provide clear boundaries and guidance, because all he wants to do is please his person. He’s very gentle when taking treats from your hand and is great about dropping the ball so playtime can continue. He’s also patient and cooperative for grooming and baths, making him easy to care for. If you’re looking for a playful, devoted dog with lots of personality, Romeo could be your perfect match! Romeo currently weighs about 40 lbs. and is approximately 3 years old (est. birth date 02/23/2023). His adoption fee is $510. He has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives, and is microchipped.
