Story
Thumper is a one-year-old Standard Poodle with a sweet, affectionate personality and a heart full of love for his people. His favorite place to be is right by your side, whether he’s relaxing at your feet, resting his head on you for pets, or following you from room to room. He would make an amazing companion for someone who works from home or is looking for a devoted best friend.
Thumper is fully housebroken, knows commands like “sit” and “paw,” and genuinely tries hard to be on his best behavior. He walks nicely on leash, though he may get a little distracted by friendly humans passing by. While he enjoys playing with other dogs, he much prefers spending time with his people and soaking up attention.
One of Thumper’s favorite activities is playing with tennis balls. He’s always ready for a game and is still working on mastering the “bring it back” part of fetch! Although he can bark when excited or startled, he is typically a laid-back, quiet dog who thrives on routine and companionship.
Thumper does have a few challenges that his future family will need to continue helping him with. He experiences separation anxiety and struggles being away from people, even for short periods of time. He can also guard high-value items, such as toys, around other dogs. Because of this, he will do best with patient adopters who can provide structure, consistency, and ongoing positive reinforcement.

Thumper has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
