Story
We found Birdie through a local family whose dogs had an accidental litter of 10 puppies needing homes. After five dog-free years, we felt ready to welcome a new pet into our family. We brought Birdie home at 8 weeks old, and our son instantly fell in love with her. About five months later, we learned she had detached retinas in both eyes. We were devastated, but she adjusted well inside our home and learned her surroundings quickly. As her vision declined, she developed separation anxiety and became very uncomfortable leaving her familiar environment. Car rides and travel became extremely stressful for her. Recently, she developed glaucoma in one eye, and a veterinary ophthalmologist recommended removal of the left eye. With the financial strain of treatment, her increased anxiety, and the demands of full-time work and parenting, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to find her a new home where she can feel safe and supported.

Astro is a sweet active boy that loves dogs of all sizes.  He is approximately 77 lbs and will be neutered on 2/24/26.  He is heartworm negative.  He will need a totally fenced yard and would benefit from training classes to help redirect his enthusiam.  He is good with kids over 5 years old. He is very energetic.  He does have an allergy to chicken so he cannot have any treats or food that contains chicken. ##2659489##

Story
Bluey is an absolutely spectacular dog, but we have to rehome him because he does not get along with our current dog. We adopted him about three months ago and really tried to make it work with him, but he has consistently attacked our older dog. He is perfect on walks. He doesn’t react to other dogs and he’s fine in a dog park, but he does not do well living in a home and sharing a space with another dog as he is very possessive and resource guards. He’s a really sweet boy and would do best in a home where he’s the only dog and with older children only. Rehoming him has been a super tough decision and I really want him to go to a good home. He’ll come with his crate his food, his harness and leash and with his great attitude. He really really loves people but just cannot live with another dog.
