Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact Kirsten, 602-785-8900, kirsten.gellhaus@gmail.com:   MEET MOOSE #3!! Moose is a bombastic lover boy who wants to either be sitting all 79 lbs of himself on your lap or running at the dog park. He loves attention, fetch, and playing with his toys. Moose knows basic commands such as sit, down, shake, "look at me", come, leave it, spin, stay, and place. He follows his commands well at home but needs work in high distraction environments, especially his recall. He also needs some work with leash training. He does well most of the time but walks often turn into tug-of-war with the leash. With lots of treats and consistency, he can be the best boy on walks! In the past, Moose has struggled with letting men approach him while on walks. However, with lots of socialization he has improved wonderfully. He has no issues with people while going to Home Depot or the dog park. In the home, however, Moose can be quite territorial (barking and growling at guest when entering the home). It's best to introduce him to guests outside the home while they take a seat or have him in another room while guests find a seat and are ready to meet him. This will guarantee that Moose will melt in their lap. He is crate trained and potty trained, but he will not signal he needs to go outside. He can also get excited when someone comes home and may let out a "sprinkle." Until he outgrows this behavior, you will want to quickly take him outside as soon as you get home. This way he can get out his happy wiggles. Moose is still a young boy with a lot of energy but a heart of gold. Meet Moose today! If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com  PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. Story
Meet Charlie, a magnificent 4-year-old Great Dane with the biggest heart! Charlie lives up to the nickname Velcro in the best way possible; he is incredibly loyal and will happily be your shadow, following you from room to room just to be close. He has a wonderful, protective presence and is a great guard dog who will certainly let you know if someone is at the door! When he's not on guard duty, Charlie is a playful boy who also happens to be a world-class couch potato, always ready for a good snuggle session. He has a ton of character and will bring endless joy and laughter to his new family. Special Consids: Charlie has enjoyed a home-prepped diet for 1yr. He used to eat kibble. I cook 7-8 days worth of food at a time. Aves for Improvement: He is a sensitive soul and can be afraid of new things (even something as simple as a box can block his path! Charlie had his 1st, 2nd and 3rd round of vaccines as a puppy, but had a reaction to them so we opted to not have him take any more.

Story
My favorite place to sleep: On the sofa, a dog bed or human bed or under the bed My favorite activity is: Playing fetch with squeaky balls and playing with my toys My favorite snack is: Anything I can get my mouth on I get along with / like: Being Alone I do not get along with / like: Big Dogs, Little Dogs, Cats, Birds I'm scared of: New people, it takes some time for me to warm up My foster parent(s) describe me as: I'm a shy girl but loving to my person. I'm happy and I have a wiggle butt!! I do need to be in a home as an ONLY dog. I'm ok with dogs outside of my home, but definitely no small dogs. I have a small growth on one of my mammaries that has been tested and is benign. Be sure to be diligent about picking up my poop right away, or I will eat it! My best day would be to: Getting to run and play for hours with a human whose arm never gets tired. Then nap for a few. Taking a nice walk and stopping to smell everything. Other tidbits about me: I am looking for my forever home with people who I can bond with. I'm a bit shy with people and need time to warm up to them. I'm pretty active for a Great Dane. I have a one-track mind especially when I'm playing. I'm treat and toy motivated. If you are interested in seeing Opal, please visit www.regaldanerescue.com and complete an application.

Story
“Howdy, Partner… I’m Texas Ranger, and I’m Ridin’ Toward My Forever Home.” From the desk (well… the dog bed) of Texas Ranger himself Well hey there, friend. Name’s Texas Ranger, but you can call me Texas or Ranger—either one suits me just fine. I’m a 65&#226&#128&#145pound fella with the look of an Anatolian Shepherd mixed with a German Shepherd, but without all that giant&#226&#128&#145sized bulk the true Anatolians carry around. I like to think I’m the “fun&#226&#128&#145sized” version—big enough to look impressive, small enough to fit on your couch if you’re not lookin’. I reckon I oughta start at the beginning. I was found wanderin’ the streets of Yuma, Arizona, just a lone cowboy lookin’ for a place to rest my paws. Life on the range can get rough, and somewhere along the way I got separated from whoever used to care for me. Lucky for me, the folks at Central Arizona Animal Rescue scooped me up, dusted me off, and gave me a safe place to land while I search for my next big adventure—my forever home. Now I’m bunkin’ here at the rescue, sharin’ a kennel with a sweet lady dog who’s also a shepherd mix. We get along like two tumbleweeds in the same breeze—easy, natural, and without a fuss. I’m a social guy, but not pushy. I respect boundaries, read the room, and try to be the kind of dog other dogs don’t mind havin’ around. When it comes to playtime, well… let’s just say I’ve got a sense of humor. Give me a toy and I’ll have myself a grand ol’ time. But if toys are in short supply, I improvise. My favorite trick? Turnin’ my food bowl into a hockey puck and scootin’ it around like I’m tryin’ out for the Arizona Coyotes. The humans laugh, and I wag my tail like I meant to be funny all along. I’m neutered, microchipped, and current on all my vaccinations, so I’m ready to ride off into the sunset with you without any loose ends. No more gettin’ lost for this cowboy—I’ve got a chip that’ll always point me back home. Now, I may have the look of a guardian breed, but at heart I’m just a loyal companion lookin’ for a human to call my own. I’m not too big, not too small, and I’ve got just the right amount of energy. I love bein’ outside, stretchin’ my legs, sniffin’ the breeze, and takin’ in the world like a true ranger on patrol. But I also know how to settle down, relax, and enjoy the quiet moments. I’m the kind of dog who’ll watch the sunset with you, trot beside you on a walk, or curl up nearby while you unwind after a long day. What I’m really hopin’ for is someone who’ll see past the dust on my boots and notice the good heart beatin’ underneath. Someone who wants a partner—steady, loyal, and ready for whatever trail life leads down next. If you think you might be that person, well… I’d sure like to meet you. The folks here say all you gotta do is send an email to mike@caaronline.org to set up a time to come say howdy. I’ll be waitin’, tail waggin’, ears perked, ready to show you just what kind of dog I am. Until then, partner… This is Texas Ranger, signin’ off and lookin’ toward the horizon. Maybe that horizon leads straight to you.   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis.
