Story
Meet Neko! This handsome boy was surrendered to the shelter on 6/27 after his former family realized they weren't prepared for a dog of his size and strength. Neko is a big, powerful dog who will thrive with a confident, kind adopter willing to continue working on his leash manners. He already knows how to sit and lie down on cue, and his previous family reported that he is house-trained, crate-trained, and good with children. If you're looking for a loyal companion and have room in your heart (and your home!) for a gentle giant, Neko could be the perfect match. Neko is approximately 4.5 years old, and weighs 145 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines and has been microchipped. Neko will be neutered upon adoption. Unfortunately, Neko did test positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care he can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while he receives treatment. Nelo is waiting patiently in kennel 23; his ID # is 20377. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
✨️ Meet Stella✨️ Stella is a gentle, sensitive girl. As the 8th pup born to Nova - a sweet Great Dane/Lab mix with a deep love for people - Stella has inherited her mom's affectionate spirit. Nova clearly once had a home as she's house -trained, knows basic commands, and walks beautifully on the leash. More than anything she seeks human connection - and Stella has been watching and learning from her every step of the way. It's easy to see how much Stella looks up to her mom. Stella and the rest of her littermates will receive an expert personality evaluation at week 7 when the assessment can be properly completed - so stay tuned for more insights into her unique temperament. Story
Meet Nova, a gentle, affectionate girl who has touched every heart shes met. She was originally found by a kind family, came into rescue pregnant, and lovingly raised her litter here even coparenting alongside another dog she didnt know. After her puppies were weaned, she returned to the family who found her, and now they need help placing her in a new home that fits her needs. Nova is truly a joy. She adores people, melts for attention, and has had wonderful, loving interactions with kids. She leans in for cuddles, insists on pets, and will happily curl up beside you for as long as youll let her. Shes also beautifully mannered: leashtrained and housetrained, and she loves being part of family life. Nova has lived with two other dogs and did well for a long time. Shes friendly when meeting new dogs and has had many positive interactions. However, while Nova is social and friendly, she does resource guard around highvalue items. Recently, she had an altercation with another dog, and we believe this was due

Story
George is a sweet 3 year old Great Dane in need of a new home as his owner's new job will take him away from home regularly. He's always lived inside and with a canine companion and would love a home where he can be inside and have a companion. He's lived with cats before (he's scared of them as he is of many things) and gets along well with older kids. He's good with other dogs and enjoys going to the dog park. He's never shown signs of aggression, in fact, he's a big scaredy cat most of the time.
