Story
Maggie is a beautiful, but very sad girl who was surrendered on 1/13/26. Although she has been fine around some of the female dogs at the shelter, her owner reported she was not getting along with the other female dog in the home. Maggie is good with both cats and kids. She is obedient and sits nicely for treats. Additionally, she is house trained. She desperately wants a forever family to love her and bring back her smile. Maggie is 2 years old and weighs 63 pounds. She is UTD on vaccines and microchipped. She will be spayed upon adoption. Sadly, Maggie’s owner did not give her monthly heartworm prophylaxis and Maggie did test positive for heartworms. Please know that with proper treatment and care she can go on to live a long and healthy life. Please stop by to meet this beautiful girl in run 56; her ID # is 16302. She is very ready for adoption. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun.10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
**Home for the Holidays adoption special.  Half price adoption fee through December 31st Meet Bearon! This handsome hunk with beautiful eyes is a  7 -year-old, 65-pound Great Dane and Catahoula mix (we think). He's house- and crate-trained and walks well on a leash. He's looking for his forever family and wants a home where he's your only kiddo (human or furry). Bearon is cautious around strangers and appreciates slow, gentle introductions. Once you’re in his circle of trust, though, he’s a total love bug—affectionate, sweet, and devoted. While he gets along with other dogs, Bearon prefers to be the "star of the show" since he is a little protective of his food and toys. An active boy with plenty of energy, Bearon would love a home with a securely fenced backyard where he can romp and play. After some exercise and fun, he’s all about couch cuddles and sleeping by your side. Story
**Home for the Holidays adoption special.  Half price adoption fee through December 31st     Hello all, I am Scoobie! I am a 8-year-old, beautiful, black, Great Dane and sometimes I even act like I know it! My fommy always calls me hansum, she makes me blush! And if you need to smile, well look no further than me! As you will see, I have a flipped up ear at times! It’s like a comb over ear! It brings a smile to everyone’s face! I’m a big boy at about 120 pounds, and my personality is BIG TOO! So here are the things a hooman needs to know about me.  I would do best being the only pup as I like my things. I don’t share the best with humans or other animals, so I need someone who can keep helping me be the best me like my foster parents do! They are patient with me, work with me, and when I do good things, they give me treats!! So I love doing good things!   I’m very food motivated so I will pretty much do anything you want me to do if you have a treat in your hand! I am also on medication daily that helps me be a better me and will need that medication indefinitely. I am a big couch potato, but I also sleep well in a crate. I am potty trained too! Woohoo!   I am a very strong boy, I don’t mean to be, but I am so I do need someone strong enough to handle my big boy size and strength. My foster mom’s requirements for being my new family are:   Must have Great Dane experience No children  No other pets Patient and willing to continue the training work.  Understands that I will forever be on medication that helps calm me and it works!      If you think you would love to be my new family and would love to give me the home I need to live out my golden years, please let Angels Among Us know!     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
Sable is a three year old Great Dane (pure bred). She is on the small side for a Great Dane, she is 95lbs. She is a gentle giant, friendly, a lover. She wants nothing more than to be with a human or another dog. Inside the house she is very well trained, never has accidents, doesn’t chew anything. She delights in just following you around from room to room or resting her head on you. 🥰 She does fairly well on a leash but gets excited to see other dogs and certainly cats or squirrels. She will follow commands when in a calm, familiar environment, but when she is outside or excited, she has a hard time listening and needs more training. I have had Sable almost a year. Prior to me she lived in a trailer with 4 kids and 4 cats, and her main caretaker passed away suddenly and that’s when I adopted her. I am looking to re-home her because I work long hours and I feel bad leaving Sable with little interaction, especially since she is social and loving.
