Story
Meet Rooster! This adorable 65-pound Great Dane mix is eight months old and is ready to begin his life with a family that will truly treasure him! Rooster arrived at GLDR with his pal Goose and they are some of the most handsome hunks around. Rooster is an affectionate guy who gives great kisses. He enjoys hanging with volunteers and has no concept of how big he is when it comes time to snuggling with volunteers. He just wants to be near you and who wouldn't want that? As he is still a young man, Rooster will need daily exercise, continued training, and a yard to enjoy in his new home. He already knows how to sit and takes his treats very gently. He will need a capable handler due to his size. His happy-go-lucky demeanor is irresistible and he will no doubt bring years of joy to one lucky family. Based on our evaluation, we feel Rooster would do best in a home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. He may have the potential to live with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. If you think he could be the guy for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com and submit your application for our remarkable Rooster!

Story
Meet Goose! This 65-pound Great Dane mix is one dapper dude! He's only eight months old and has a lifetime of love to give! Goose arrived at GLDR with his pal Rooster and they are some of the most handsome hunks around. Goose has the most easy-going way about him. He enjoys hanging with volunteers and when he lays his head gently on your lap, you'll wonder how you ever lived without him! As he is still a young man, Goose will need daily exercise, continued training, and a yard to enjoy in his new home. He already knows how to sit and takes his treats very gently. He will need a capable handler due to his size. Goose also rides well in the car and is ready to be your copilot. He has an undeniable playful side and loves absolutely every type of toy imaginable. Watching him entertain himself tossing toys around will brighten every day. Based on our evaluation, we feel Goose would do best in a home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. He may have the potential to live with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. Story
💙 Meet Raider 💙 Raider is a 1 year old Great Dane with a heart as big as his paws. This handsome boy is completely deaf, but don’t tell him that—it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, cuddly boy who loves being close to his people. Raider came to us emaciated and underweight, and at 137 pounds, he is still growing and gaining the weight he needs. Despite a rough start, he has blossomed into a happy, loving puppy and has so much life and love ahead of him. He has been well socialized with dogs, cats, and kids and is doing wonderfully in foster care. Raider is crate trained, potty trained, and while he can be a little sensitive in new situations, he is a playful, loving puppy who continues to gain confidence every day. Because Raider is completely deaf, he requires a home with a physically fenced yard and another large breed dog. Experience with deaf dogs and/or giant breeds is preferred. Raider is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed, fecal tested, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention and had a gastropexy. Applications can be submitted at www.rescuepetsinc.com/adopt. Please note: All dogs in the home must be current on vaccinations, veterinary care, and year-round heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Raider is a very special boy, and due to his unique needs, the application process may take longer than usual as we work to find the best possible match for him.

Hi, I'm Diana — a striking 6-year-old black merle Great Dane who's ready to steal your heart! 🐾 At nearly 80 pounds, I'm a magnificent girl with a gentle soul and a friendly nature that makes everyone I meet smile. I'm affectionate and love being close to my people, and I promise to bring warmth and companionship to your home. I'm not yet spayed, so that's something to discuss with the shelter team, but my adoption fee is just $125. Come meet me soon — I can't wait to become part of your family! 💕

‼️THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR HAPPY PAWS HAVEN CO (happypawshaven.pet) ROYAL OAK, MI. ‼️FOR MORE INFORMATION, OR TO APPLY TO ADOPT ZEUS AND ZORA, GO TO https://happypawshaven.pet/adopt-foster/#sl_embed&page=shelterluv_wrap_1733926622%2Fembed%2Fanimal%2F213548844 ‼️BONDED PAIR AVAILABLE ONLY THROUGH HAPPY PAWS HAVEN CO. ♦️MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER Some dogs are happiest with their people. Zeus and Zora are happiest with each other. 🖤 This bonded pair 🐾🐾 has built a quiet little world together, and they’re looking for a home willing to open their heart to both of them. While their personalities are different, they balance each other beautifully. 🖤Zeus (male, 6 years) is the more sensitive of the two. New people and sudden movements can make him cautious at first, especially around larger men, but once he feels safe? He turns into a complete love bug. Zeus loves to follow his people from room to room, curl up close, and be part of whatever you’re doing. He still has a playful side too and enjoys tug toys and roughhousing around with Zora. He’s learning that the world isn’t so scary and continues to gain confidence every day. 🖤Zora (female, 8 years) is the calm, steady presence in the pair. She’s more laid back, happiest lounging nearby or curling up on you like a giant teddy bear while you relax. She’s not much for playtime and would prefer a peaceful home without younger, overly energetic dogs. Zora can be sensitive to noises and unfamiliar sounds, but once she settles into a routine, she relaxes beautifully and becomes incredibly affectionate. Together, they: ✔️ Are bonded and rely on each other for comfort ✔️ Love spending time outside with their people ✔️ Walk wonderfully together ✔️ Are eating well and adjusting nicely in foster care ✔️ Enjoy a calm routine and quiet companionship ✔️ Are affectionate, loyal, and deeply loving once they trust you Zeus may occasionally react when seeing other dogs on walks, but he redirects well with guidance and continues to improve. Both dogs thrive with patience, consistency, and a calm environment where they can feel secure. These two don’t need perfection. They just need someone willing to give them the chance to stay together. 🐾 And once they trust you? You’ll never question whether it was worth it.🖤
