Story
💙 Meet Raider 💙 Raider is a 9-month-old Great Dane puppy with a heart as big as his paws. This handsome boy is completely deaf, but don’t tell him that—it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He is an incredibly sweet, affectionate, cuddly boy who loves being close to his people. Raider came to us emaciated and underweight, and at 115 pounds, he is still growing and gaining the weight he needs. Despite a rough start, he has blossomed into a happy, loving puppy and has so much life and love ahead of him. He has been well socialized with dogs, cats, and kids and is doing wonderfully in foster care. Raider is crate trained, potty trained, and while he can be a little sensitive in new situations, he is a playful, loving puppy who continues to gain confidence every day. Because Raider is completely deaf, he requires a home with a physically fenced yard. Experience with deaf dogs and/or giant breeds is preferred. Raider will leave our rescue vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed, fecal tested, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Because Raider is a giant breed puppy and needs much more time to grow, he will be adopted on a neuter contract with a refundable deposit, with neuter to be completed at the appropriate age. If you’re looking for a gentle giant in the making and a devoted best friend, Raider may be your boy. 🐾 Applications can be submitted at www.rescuepetsinc.com/adopt. Please note: All dogs in the home must be current on vaccinations, veterinary care, and year-round heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Raider is a very special boy, and due to his unique needs, the application process may take longer than usual as we work to find the best possible match for him.

Story
🐾💙 MEET ZEUS — PART-TIME ZOOMIE KING, FULL-TIME LAP DOG! 💙🐾 Zeus may be 6 years old, but he still has just enough goofy energy to keep life fun, followed by a very serious commitment to cuddling. 😂 Give this handsome guy a walk, a game of tug, or a few minutes to show off his zoomies and he’s satisfied. After that? Your lap belongs to Zeus. Personal space is apparently not part of his vocabulary, and he’ll happily settle in for the rest of the evening. ❤️ Zeus can be a little reserved when meeting someone new, but it doesn’t take him long to decide you’re his friend. Once he warms up, he’s incredibly affectionate, sweet, and loves being close to his people. 🐶 ZEUS AT A GLANCE: ✨ 6 years old. ✨ Neutered & up to date on vaccines. ✨ Playful without being nonstop energy. ✨ Loves walks, tug toys & short zoomie sessions. ✨ Professional lap warmer. ✨ Dog-friendly and respectful of other dogs’ boundaries. ✨ Has successfully attended doggie daycare & boarding. ✨ Kid-friendly, previously lived with very young children. ✨ Cats are unknown. ✨ Walks well and is easily redirected when squirrels or dogs catch his eye. 🍽️ Zeus prefers to enjoy his meals without canine company. He should be fed separately from other dogs and have bowls picked up afterward. Once mealtime is over, he’s perfectly happy sharing his space again. He also has a history of allergies and ear infections and can be sensitive to sudden outside noises like knocking or car doors shutting. What Zeus really wants is pretty simple: someone to walk with, someone to play tug with, and most importantly, someone whose lap he can claim at the end of the day. 🥹 He’s got the perfect balance, enough personality to make you laugh and enough chill to make him an amazing companion. 🏡 Zeus is ready to trade temporary places for a forever home. Could his next cuddle spot be on your couch? 💙🐾 📩 Apply to adopt Zeus through Happy Paws Haven and SHARE to help us find his person!

💜🐾 MEET ZORA — THE EASYGOING GIRL LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER COUCH! 🐾💜 If you’re looking for a dog who doesn’t need constant entertainment and would be perfectly happy enjoying the simple things in life with you, Zora might be your girl. Zora is an 8-year-old sweetheart with a calm, relaxed personality. Her favorite things? Leisurely walks, soaking up the sunshine in the yard, curling up on the couch, and simply being near her people. ☀️🛋️ She isn’t much of a “let’s play!” kind of girl, and that’s part of her charm. Zora is happiest just hanging out and enjoying a peaceful day. 🐾 A LITTLE ABOUT ZORA: ✨ 8 years old. ✨ Spayed & up to date on vaccines. ✨ Very relaxed and low-maintenance. ✨ Dog-friendly, currently lives with 3 dogs, large & small. ✨ Kid-friendly, previously lived with very young children. ✨ Cats are unknown. ✨ No known food or toy-sharing concerns. ✨ Good on walks & easily redirected if something catches her attention. Zora can be a little unsure when meeting someone new and may greet you with a few barks, but give her a minute. ❤️ She warms up quickly, and once she does, you’ll discover an incredibly sweet and cuddly girl underneath. She can also be sensitive to unexpected noises outside, like car doors or someone knocking, so she’d appreciate someone who understands that sometimes the world is just a little loud. Zora does have a history of allergies involving her skin and feet and is missing one toe from an old issue, but don’t tell her she’s different, it doesn’t slow her down! At 8 years old, Zora isn’t asking for much. A comfortable couch. A sunny yard. A few nice walks. Someone to love. And finally, a home she won’t have to leave again. 🥹💜 She’s ready for the quiet, happy chapter she deserves. 🏡 Could Zora spend it with you? 🐾 Apply to adopt Zora through Happy Paws Haven and please SHARE to help this sweet girl find her forever family! 💜

‼️THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR HAPPY PAWS HAVEN CO (happypawshaven.pet) ROYAL OAK, MI. ‼️FOR MORE INFORMATION, OR TO APPLY TO ADOPT ZEUS AND ZORA, GO TO https://happypawshaven.pet/adopt-foster/#sl_embed&page=shelterluv_wrap_1733926622%2Fembed%2Fanimal%2F213548844 ‼️BONDED PAIR AVAILABLE ONLY THROUGH HAPPY PAWS HAVEN CO. ♦️MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER Some dogs are happiest with their people. Zeus and Zora are happiest with each other. 🖤 This bonded pair 🐾🐾 has built a quiet little world together, and they’re looking for a home willing to open their heart to both of them. While their personalities are different, they balance each other beautifully. 🖤Zeus (male, 6 years) is the more sensitive of the two. New people and sudden movements can make him cautious at first, especially around larger men, but once he feels safe? He turns into a complete love bug. Zeus loves to follow his people from room to room, curl up close, and be part of whatever you’re doing. He still has a playful side too and enjoys tug toys and roughhousing around with Zora. He’s learning that the world isn’t so scary and continues to gain confidence every day. 🖤Zora (female, 8 years) is the calm, steady presence in the pair. She’s more laid back, happiest lounging nearby or curling up on you like a giant teddy bear while you relax. She’s not much for playtime and would prefer a peaceful home without younger, overly energetic dogs. Zora can be sensitive to noises and unfamiliar sounds, but once she settles into a routine, she relaxes beautifully and becomes incredibly affectionate. Together, they: ✔️ Are bonded and rely on each other for comfort ✔️ Love spending time outside with their people ✔️ Walk wonderfully together ✔️ Are eating well and adjusting nicely in foster care ✔️ Enjoy a calm routine and quiet companionship ✔️ Are affectionate, loyal, and deeply loving once they trust you Zeus may occasionally react when seeing other dogs on walks, but he redirects well with guidance and continues to improve. Both dogs thrive with patience, consistency, and a calm environment where they can feel secure. These two don’t need perfection. They just need someone willing to give them the chance to stay together. 🐾 And once they trust you? You’ll never question whether it was worth it.🖤

Story
Roman is a handsome black Great Dane male. Roman is a sweet boy with the most soulful eyes you have ever seen! He is a gentle boy who attaches quickly to people. Roman enjoys quiet walks with his foster parents and helping out around the house. Walks are getting better w practice on a leash. Roman has a few quirks that he needs his potential adopters to be aware of. - he has bloated, his stomach has been tacked but in situations of high stress he is a bloat risk and will need to be monitored throughout his life - Roman has shown some food and resource guarding with other dogs. He will need to be fed separately from other dogs in the home and any high value food items like treats will need to be fed with dogs separated - Roman is a bit unsure of life and how to live like a "normal" dog. He seeks the guidance of the adult in his life and will need a calm, strong, experienced giant breed owner to help him figure all of this out (rescue experience preferred) - Roman is good with other dogs but is still figuring out how to play, he does best with confident, female dogs - Roman needs SLOW socialization and exposure to new things once he has built trust with his adopter. Our obedience requirement will be critical to Roman's success If you think you could be Roman's perfect family, please read more about adoption and submit an application at www.greatdanerescueinc.com/adopt
