Meet your future best friend, Trix 🐾✨ This puppy is a perfect bundle of energy, curiosity, and irresistible cuteness—but like all puppies, Trix is still learning how to be the best dog possible. Continued basic training will be needed, including leash skills, crate training, potty training, and everyday manners. With a growing body and a busy brain, puppies need structure, enrichment, and positive outlets for energy to prevent overstimulation, mouthiness, or the development of unwanted habits. A home committed to consistency, patience, and mental and physical exercise will help Trix grow into a confident, well-balanced adult dog. With the right foundation, the possibilities are endless! 💛🐶 -Around 2.5-3 months old -Currently under 15lbs -Good with kids, cats and dogs -Adoption fee: $350 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. Story
MEET ZEUS  Gentle Giant | Professional Couch Potato | Certified Velcro Dane Looking for a dog who believes personal space is a myth and couches are a shared lifestyle? Say hello to Zeus, a 3 year old Blue Merle Great Dane who is ready to find his forever family! Zeus currently weighs 96 lbs. He may be smaller than the average male Dane, but make no mistake — he is 100% Great Dane (confirmed by DNA testing). Zeus came to us severely underweight but is now happy, healthy, and thriving! Fun Facts About Zeus: Total couch potato — it’s his couch, you’re just visiting Classic Velcro Dane — bathroom buddy, kitchen supervisor, full-time shadow Loves walks and is excellent on leash Gets along great with other dogs Has met cats and is non-reactive (slow, proper intros recommended) Very smart and well behaved — knows sit, stay, and more Zeus was recently neutered and is fully healed. He is currently undergoing Heartworm treatment as he sadly tested positive for Heartworm when he was surrendered. Heartworm is not contagious to humans and providing heartworm prevention protects the health of other fellow canines! We as a rescue have successfully treated dozens of dogs with heartworm with the guidance of our trusted veterinary partners. Zeus would really like to find a foster-to-adopt home to that will love and care for him while Furever Tails covers the cost of care for her heartworm treatment. He is scheduled to undergo a series of heartworm injections at one of our partner vet offices in Warren, following the American Heartworm Society treatment plan. The foster-to-adopt family will need to ensure that the treatment is followed as instructed by the vet, however Furever Tails Animal Rescue is responsible for the financial cost of the treatment. We offer a great support system when it comes to ensure the proper care of these animals and even assisting with getting the dog to their scheduled vet visits. Adoption is not finalized until the treatment is completed and the dogs is deemed medically healthy. Zeus would LOVE a family where he can soak up attention and affection. He’d do especially well in a home with other large-breed dogs, as he’s still learning how to “dog” — playing with toys, romping with friends, and discovering how fun life can be. A confident big brother or sister to show him the ropes would be perfect   Sweet, gentle, loyal, and endlessly loving — Zeus is ready to be your best friend and permanent couch companion. Interested in adopting Zeus? Apply today and come meet this amazing boy!  Zeus is:Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and RabiesDewormedUndergoing Heartworm treatmentReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedNeuteredADOPTION FEE: $325 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. ##2602242##

Story
Ruckus is searching for the love of his life! This handsome little heartbreaker is one of four pups that came into care underweight, neglected, and poorly socialized. He had little supervision or guidance to teach him about the world around him. Since he was never really sure when his next meal would come, Ruckus tried to eat lots of stuff, including things that aren't food like cloth and rope. Since he's been in foster care he's learned about toys, couches, cuddles, beds, and his absolute favorite - YUMMY FOOD!! Ruckus went from hiding in the corner to running zoomies, playing ball, and snoring with his blankie during nap time. His favorite pastimes are eating, snuggling with his foster mom, and playing with his Weimaraner foster brother. Ruckus still worries about going hungry and hasn't been able to break the habit of swallowing things that aren't for eating, so he needs a lot of supervision to make sure he doesn't eat something that could hurt him. According to his foster mom, Ruckus will eat anything he finds - from sticks, dirt, and rocks to toys, bobby pins, socks, plastic, and just about everything else. He will gladly give up whatever he finds for a treat and has become quite the little trader! Ruckus loves people but he can be a little timid at first. Once he warms up he will be your constant companion. He is crate trained, rides well in the car, and is almost totally potty trained. He knows basic commands and is a super fast learner. In the few short weeks he's been in foster care Ruckus has made tremendous progress and he is gaining more confidence every day. He is a joyful, silly, happy and loving goofball! Ruckus needs a family that will set clear boundaries and will look out for him as he continues to figure out how to be a dog!

Story
Roman is a handsome one year old black Great Dane male. He is still very much a puppy with a puppy brain. Roman is a sweet boy with the most soulful eyes you have ever seen! He is a gentle boy who attaches quickly to people. Roman enjoys quiet walks with his foster parents and helping out around the house. Walks are getting better w practice on a leash. Roman has a few quirks that he needs his potential adopters to be aware of. - he has bloated, his stomach has been tacked but in situations of high stress he is a bloat risk and will need to be monitored throughout his life - Roman has shown some food and resource guarding with other dogs. He will need to be fed separately from other dogs in the home and any high value food items like treats will need to be fed with dogs separated - Roman is a bit unsure of life and how to live like a "normal" dog. He seeks the guidance of the adult in his life and will need a calm, strong, experienced giant breed owner to help him figure all of this out (rescue experience preferred) - Roman is good with other dogs but is still figuring out how to play, he does best with confident, female dogs - Roman needs SLOW socialization and exposure to new things once he has built trust with his adopter. Our obedience requirement will be critical to Roman's success If you think you could be Roman's perfect family, please read more about adoption and submit an application at www.greatdanerescueinc.com/adopt
