You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Denali was born on September 16, 2018. The first of nine puppies. He is a mix of Great Dane and Hound and weighs about 95 pounds. Due to his owner’s illness and family circumstances this wonderful dog is needing a forever home. Denali has lived with other large breed dogs and has been around many of the dogs we have fostered, from young pups to Giant Tibetan Mastiffs. With slow and careful introductions he should be good with almost any dog, but he has not been around small/toy breeds. He is not good with cats, or other small furries/chickens. He can be unsure sometimes in new situations and has a hound type baying bark for all new things. Denali must have a securely fenced yard of at least four feet high. Denali has been raised in a country setting and a calm home environment. He is not used to being crated but is used to being in gated smaller areas. He does not chew inappropriately and is very well housebroken. He is a very good boy and loves to dance with a toy in his mouth He is trained to walk using a gentle leader and loves to go on runs. He enjoys food and treats. He has a very strong tail and might not be a good match for toddlers or children under 10 due to his size. He loves to sploot his hind legs out and stretch out on rugs—he can fill an entire couch easily. He has been an utter joy in my life since he was born. He loves to please his people and if you can offer this special and handsome boy a forever home, please send in your application right away. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. Boozer(Boo Boo) is a sweet 6 yr old Great Dane mix. She still has tons of energy and loves playing soccer in the yard, long walks and car rides. She's very playful with many dogs, but has an aversion for medium size females. Boo is great with all people, kids, babies, small dogs, and male dogs. She has been professionally trained and walks great on a leash. Boozer thinks she's a 113lb lapdog. She loves to snuggle on the couch, sleep under the covers in bed. It's killing me to rehome her, but I board dogs for a living and she needs a quieter home where new dogs aren't constantly coming and going. Roman is a handsome one year old black Great Dane male. He is still very much a puppy with a puppy brain. Roman is a sweet boy with the most soulful eyes you have ever seen! He is a gentle boy who attaches quickly to people. Roman enjoys quiet walks with his foster parents and helping out around the house. Walks are getting better w practice on a leash. Roman has a few quirks that he needs his potential adopters to be aware of. - he has bloated, his stomach has been tacked but in situations of high stress he is a bloat risk and will need to be monitored throughout his life - Roman has shown some food and resource guarding with other dogs. He will need to be fed separately from other dogs in the home and any high value food items like treats will need to be fed with dogs separated - Roman is a bit unsure of life and how to live like a "normal" dog. He seeks the guidance of the adult in his life and will need a calm, strong, experienced giant breed owner to help him figure all of this out (rescue experience preferred) - Roman is good with other dogs but is still figuring out how to play, he does best with confident, female dogs - Roman needs SLOW socialization and exposure to new things once he has built trust with his adopter.
