🍀 Kiryu: Your Lucky Charm in Giant Form 🍀 They say everyone hopes to find a little luck on St. Patrick’s Day… but what if your luck came in the form of a very handsome, very sweet, very large Great Dane mix named Kiryu? 😍 At 7 years old, Kiryu has officially reached the wonderful stage of life where he’s traded puppy chaos for calm companionship and big-hearted loyalty. He’s a gentle giant with a soft soul who truly loves everyone he meets. Don’t let the size fool you...underneath that big frame is a total sweetheart who just wants to be close to his people. 🐕 Kiryu is the kind of dog who believes the best things in life are simple: • Kind words • Gentle pets • A comfy spot near his favorite human (bonus points if it’s the couch or big, soft bed) 💙 He’s affectionate, loving, and known to lean in close when he gets attention, which is basically his way of giving you a big Kiryu hug. People often call him a “big baby,” and honestly… they’re not wrong. 😊 While some people search for four-leaf clovers, the truth is, finding a dog like Kiryu is the real jackpot. He’s loyal, steady, and ready to share his enormous heart with a family who will love him right back. 💞 So this month, if you’ve been wishing for a little extra luck in your life, Kiryu might just be the lucky charm you’ve been waiting for. ✨ Because the best kind of luck… is finding the dog who’s meant to be yours. 🍀🐾 ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Whitney is a beautiful designer dane who is a love bug. She has had some training and is house crate and leash trained. She has lived with several dogs of all sizes, horses and adult humans. She is respectful of the baby gate and loves to sunbathe with the other dogs. Whitney is very sweet and well mannered.. her mom was a dane and dad a great Pyrenees/ schnauzer mix. A true southern bell she hates the cold! Because Whitney has no idea of her size we are looking for a home without children and other medium/large dogs. Whitney is available for adoption in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex Visit danerescue.net to find out more info about our adoption process and complete the adoption application.

Story
Hi there! My name is Yoshi, and I’m a 2-year-old, 57-lb Anatolian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a fluffy coat to match. I am super sweet and affectionate, and I adore people. My absolute favorite things in the world are playing fetch and snuggling up for cuddle time. I’m a big fan of balls, squeaky or crinkly toys, yummy treats, and good bones — basically all the best dog things! I’m a happy, playful boy who loves life and enjoys being close to my humans.I’ve done wonderfully with female dogs. I was also raised alongside a male dog, but we recently started having some issues together, which are most likely related to littermate syndrome. Because of this, I’d do best in a home with only female dogs, or with a meet-and-greet prior to adoption if there is a male dog in the home, just to make sure everyone is comfortable.I prefer to enjoy my meals and bones in my own space away from other dogs— who doesn’t appreciate a little privacy while eating?I’m not a fan of cats (they are just a little bit scary for me!), and car rides make me a bit anxious, but I’m working on my confidence every day. I know several basic commands like sit, lay down, up, off, fetch, and hug (yes, hug!), and I’m crate trained, potty trained, and generally do well on leash — with the occasional curious bark or tug if something exciting catches my eye.I haven’t spent much time around kids in my foster home, but I’d likely do well with older children who can go slow and let me warm up at my own pace.Overall, I’m a loving, loyal boy who’s just looking for a calm, understanding home where I can relax, feel safe, and be his best fluffy self. If you’re searching for a devoted companion who will adore you with his whole heart, I might just be your guy. ##2633171##
