Rosco is a 6-year-old Great Dane whom I brought home as a puppy from a breeder in Houston. He comes from a champion bloodline and has been deeply loved and cared for his entire life. He is the definition of a gentle giant—loving, loyal, calm, and wonderfully well-mannered. Rosco adores people of all ages, has been amazing with my 4-year-old daughter, and is happiest lounging near his family and soaking up affection. I am looking for a home that will welcome him as a true family member and appreciate the special joy that comes with a giant breed. Rehoming him is heartbreaking, and only due to changes in my living situation. My greatest hope is to find him a safe, loving home where he will be cherished for the rest of his life.

DOB: 3/27/2023 Weight: 70-80 lbs. Alfie is a handsome 3-year-old Great Dane/Poodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and in excellent health. Alfie is a gentle giant who absolutely adores people. He has been raised in a home with four children and is incredibly loving, patient, and affectionate with kids of all ages. He enjoys being close to his family, lounging indoors, and soaking up attention from his favorite humans. Alfie is crate trained, leash trained, and understands basic household routines. He knows basic commands such as sit and down, and he is eager to please. He is intelligent, affectionate, and thrives when he receives consistent structure and attention. Whether he's spending time with his family or showing off his good manners, Alfie is happiest when he is included in everyday life. One of Alfie's favorite activities is going for car rides. He happily loads up and enjoys being part of the adventure, whether it's a quick trip around town or a longer outing. He also does exceptionally well when boarded and adjusts comfortably to boarding environments, making him an easy companion for families who travel or occasionally need pet care services. Alfie currently lives with another large dog and has been successful in that environment. However, he can be selective about other animals and would benefit from slow, proper introductions to any new pets. Because every dog relationship is different, we believe Alfie would thrive either as an only pet receiving all of the attention or in a home with an experienced owner who is willing to carefully manage introductions and ensure a good fit. Alfie enjoys having space to stretch his long legs, explore, and spend time outdoors, so a securely fenced yard would be ideal for him. While he enjoys outdoor time, he is happiest when he is with his family and included in daily life. Alfie has so much love to give and deserves a home that understands his needs and can provide the attention, stability, and companionship he craves. In return, he will reward his family with endless loyalty, affection, and plenty of goofy Great Dane charm. He's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and will be tested for heartworms very soon. Sam (FKA Pan) Is Available For Adoption!🩵 This precious dog was abandoned by his owner & very sad when he was rescued. Since being in a loving foster home, he's much happier. He absolutely adores people & has become somewhat of a velcro dog.🥰 His foster mom says, "He has the sweetest habit: he gently hides himself behind the shower curtain and lies there waiting for us to brush our teeth or whatever. It seems like he feels safe there. Such a cutie.💜 He is truly a lovely dog!" Sam (Pan) has been examined by a vet & other than being underweight from not being fed properly, he's a healthy boy! He's been vaccinated, dewormed & heartworm tested negative. He is neutered & he's approx 8 years of age. He's still underweight at 92 lbs, but eating better every day! Sam is the most gentle-natured giant. He's wonderful with all animals & kids. He enjoys being outside with whoever wants to hang out. He likes to play with other dogs too! Whitney is a beautiful designer dane who is a love bug. She has had some training and is house crate and leash trained. She has lived with several dogs of all sizes, horses and adult humans. Amos McCoy, an old name for an old man (think of the 1950`s/60`s TV program `The Real McCoys). Amos is the oldest dog we have inGDRNT care,not in longevity, but in age, he has been in GDRNT for over a year, but he is 11 years old. This guy came to GDRNT suffering from bad ear infections and some skin funk… we have been battling this with him and our veterinarian. He was sent to a specialist, who tested him and the results showed that he was allergic to most everything in the environment... And so he was started on allergy shots and different antibotics, but his ear infections did not get any better. Finally the Speciality Vet came up with an antibotic solution that was packed down in the ear canal. Took two rounds of packing the ears, and we started seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. As he started feeling better from the ear infections, we noticed that he was having trouble getting up after laying down, and we started him on some shots for his arthritis (the boy is almost bouncing now some times). There was also a suggestion that we change his kibble... which we have settled on a single protein (Salmon), gluten free, GMO free, low glycemic, no corn, soy, or wheat kibble. And he is doing SO-O-O much better. His ear infections are down to just some yeast, which we are dealing with with a high dose of probiotics. Like we said at the start of this, he is estimated to be 11 years old, which means that he came to GDRNT, potty trained, crate trained, with house manners, and pet friendly. And while he loves a nap, he does well with kids, big dogs, small dogs, and cats! Amos is available for adoption in the Dallas/Ft.Worth Metroplex.
