This beautiful, deaf girl has learned to navigate the world in her own unique way, relying on her keen awareness and deep connection with her people. True to the Velcro Dane nickname, Speckles forms strong bonds and thrives on companionship. She wants to be near her humans as much as possible, finding comfort and joy simply by being by your side. Her affectionate nature makes her an incredibly loyal and loving companion. Speckles is house trained and understands the routines of home life well. While she is familiar with a crate, it tends to cause her anxiety, so she would do best in a home where crating is not necessary and she can feel safe and secure in a more open environment. I have a gentle personality that’s ready to shine once I feel safe, and I’m on the lookout for a loving home where I can grow and gain confidence. My story hasn’t been easy — I was a stray, living on the streets, and that’s made me a little cautious. I need a bit of time to trust new people, and it takes me a moment to warm up to new situations. But once you’ve earned my trust, you’ll see just how much love and loyalty I have to give! I’m looking for a forever home with a medium or large doggie companion who can be my guide and best friend. I need a buddy to help me feel safe and build my confidence.
