Story
Bonny is an Alabai (Alabay) or often referred to as Central Asian Shepherd. The Central Asian Shepherd Dog is self-assured, balanced, quiet, proud and independent. They are very courageous and have a high working capacity, endurance and a natural instinct of territory. This breed is known for its fearlessness towards large predators. Central Asian Shepherd Dogs are a natural protective breed that require a non-stop observance for the life of the dog. They are not for first-time dog owners. They were formed as a breed from natural selection during more than four thousand years in a vast territory, which spreads nowadays from the Caspian Sea to China and from Southern Ural to Afghanistan. Now, what we know and have observed since she has been here. She is just a little over a year old. Due to her breed we will be looking for a for specific home for her. She needs room to roam and a person or family who has experience with live stock guardian breeds. She is silly and playful and can most often be found looking for a belly rub. We do require visits here to our rescue and home checks, so adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, CA area.

I found Koda on the side of the road being sold out of a truck on June 4, 2022. He was covered in ticks and fleas and had a stomach parasite. He was only 2 months old and there was no information or paperwork on his past or his parents. I took him to the vet and made sure he was healthy and had no issues. Koda grew up with my golden retriever and cat so he gets along very well with them. He has been around other dogs but doesn't get along well with them. Some days he is more stubborn than usual and refuses to go outside and he tends to have his moments where he likes to be alone. But he is a wonderful guard dog, but that means he does bark a lot. With meeting new people he is very timid, it takes some time for him to come around and get to know people. Koda has a big heart but is very stubborn, but with the right family and training I feel that Koda can be a great dog. Koda needs a very loving and patient family. Story
This INCREDIBLE pup was part of a litter of 5 that we rescued from Kern County Animal Services. They are just spectacular pups. These puppies have such a great temperament and r easy going. The breed are guardian dogs, so they are just a lover of all friendly animals. They recognize coyotes as a threat and will protect. Jonah will make a wonderful family dog. Can't go wrong here! All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.
