Bonny is an Alabai (Alabay) or often referred to as Central Asian Shepherd. The Central Asian Shepherd Dog is self-assured, balanced, quiet, proud and independent. They are very courageous and have a high working capacity, endurance and a natural instinct of territory. This breed is known for its fearlessness towards large predators. Central Asian Shepherd Dogs are a natural protective breed that require a non-stop observance for the life of the dog. They are not for first-time dog owners. They were formed as a breed from natural selection during more than four thousand years in a vast territory, which spreads nowadays from the Caspian Sea to China and from Southern Ural to Afghanistan. Now, what we know and have observed since she has been here. She is just a little over a year old. Due to her breed we will be looking for a for specific home for her. She needs room to roam and a person or family who has experience with live stock guardian breeds. She is silly and playful and can most often be found looking for a belly rub. We do require visits here to our rescue and home checks, so adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, CA area.

This awesome litter of puppies was surrendered to us when the owner allowed her unspayed female to get pregnant by the neighbors GP. So often these people have no interest in caring for the puppies while finding them appropriate homes. As a rescue, we get these calls a lot. We step in so they don't start just handing them out to anyone so they can rid themselves of the problem. They came to us flea infested and definitely needed some medical attention for their skin. They are now beautiful fluffy happy puppies. They were born 3/10/26 All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. Holy Moly... Griffin is quite the looker. Rescued from high impound, high kill Lancaster Shelter where the clock was ticking against him. Since he has been groomed, he now struts his stuff. He is an ez boy, doesn't ask for much. He will be a great protector, especially for a single woman. Griffin walks perfect on a leash. He will not do well in an apartment, so homes with property only. He takes treats ridiculously gentle, so would be great with kids. He loves his walks (yep, a great leash walker too), is house respectful and housebroken. He is between 2-3 years old and weighs 64 fluffy pounds. Does NOT shed much. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. This litter of puppies were another find in the orchards of Bakersfield where dog dumping in the middle of nowhere is a common practice. So many starve or get hit by cars. These 4 were extremely lucky. Despite the cruel beginnings they endured, they are happy go lucky playful pups with a great attitude and a gentle nature. They are in the 35 pound range at about 4 months of age. They will be a fantastic addition to any family wanting a lovely, fun and larger pup to add into their family. I think they will be between 60-70 pounds full grown. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them.
