Story
Ume came into our life unexpectedly. She was running away from a bad situation and ended up staying with us. We have two small dogs and had just gotten another 9 week old puppy two weeks prior to Ume joining us. She is a special dog and it kills us to rehome her but three dogs and two children is a bit too much for us. She was used as a livestock guardian dog by her previous owner but she is not a working dog. She wants to be in the house and around the family. She is great with our children and other dogs. She needs a large gated area to roam and needs to be inside a house a good portion of the day. She gets hot, and appreciates the ac. We are hoping to find her a loving home and a place she can be unconditionally loved. Shots are up to date and if we can find the right home, there is no adoption fee.

Story
Bonny is an Alabai (Alabay) or often referred to as Central Asian Shepherd. The Central Asian Shepherd Dog is self-assured, balanced, quiet, proud and independent. They are very courageous and have a high working capacity, endurance and a natural instinct of territory. This breed is known for its fearlessness towards large predators. Central Asian Shepherd Dogs are a natural protective breed that require a non-stop observance for the life of the dog. They are not for first-time dog owners. They were formed as a breed from natural selection during more than four thousand years in a vast territory, which spreads nowadays from the Caspian Sea to China and from Southern Ural to Afghanistan. Now, what we know and have observed since she has been here. She is just a little over a year old. Due to her breed we will be looking for a for specific home for her. She needs room to roam and a person or family who has experience with live stock guardian breeds. She has only been with us a short time but has been an absolute love. She is silly and playful and can most often be found looking for a belly rub. We do require visits here to our rescue and home checks, so adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, CA area.

Story
66 pound Katie is a MAGNIFICENT dog. She gave birth in the shelter to 5 puppies. We rescued the whole family. Katie just loves life. She is very people oriented, loves other dogs and is perfect with kids. She is a dream on the leash and beyond extraordinary. She has gone to many places with her foster. Lunches, dinners, brunch and to the office. Everywhere she goes she steals the hearts of everyone. Her tail is exquisite giving her even more personality than she already has. Katie is only 2 years old and would flourish in an active family. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.
