Meet CJ! CJ came to us over 2 years ago from a kill shelter in Oklahoma. He was very scared and we helped him learn what love is. He was adopted for a while, but was recently returned for issues going potty in the house and being scared of men. His foster is a trainer and is working on these with him - he's doing great! He is very dog friendly and a big sweetheart who just wants to curl up next to his people. He's been dumped time and time again, each time harder than the last, and he wants to find his final Furever.

Mallow is just like how she got her name, Marshmallow. She is super sweet on the inside and white and fluffy on the outside. She loves to cuddle and be outside. She will come inside through dog door when she is hot or cold. Absolutely loves peanut butter! Mallow is an amazing fur baby that will be a great addition for a family. We are extremely sad to rehome but must due to move and area not allowing dogs as well as no yard which is not a happy life for Mallow.

Hi there! I'm Asher, a furry friend weighing 100lbs, searching for a forever home. I have a loving nature towards everyone I meet, whether it's a man, woman, or child. I thrive on being by your side and am a gentle giant who adores spending time with my humans. Being a true lap dog, I enjoy cozying up with you on the couch for hours on end. I would appreciate having a spacious backyard to explore and a daily walk. I'm eager to interact with other dogs and love playtime. While I'm nearly house trained, I have a weakness for indoor plants at my foster home, so regular outdoor access is essential. Remember, nobody's perfect, right? Though I'm only 6 years old, I've faced challenges, but thanks to Lucky 13 Rescue, I've received the care I needed - including treatment for heartworm, making me heartworm-free now. Currently, I'm undergoing treatment for a front leg injury sustained years ago in barbed wire; the vet suggests a half leg amputation. However, don't be deterred by this - many three-legged pets lead fulfilling lives, and I intend to be one of them! Asher will be fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, have completed leg surgery, and be up to date on heartworm prevention upon adoption. His adoption fee is $200.00. Asher is exclusively available through our foster-to-adopt program (must reside within 60 miles of Kansas City). James is a fluffy great pyreneese who landed himself at the KCPP shelter after his owner passed away. James is looking for a soft spot to land with a kind family that will give him time to decompress in his new home. This boy coexists just fine with dogs, he goes to playgroups but has not shown interest in playing yet. James would love to meet any potential canine siblings before going home. Jimmy has loved every person he's met! He's young, around one year old, and about 60 pounds. We think he's a Great Pyrenees mix, which means he's got some livestock guardian dog in him and explains why he might be a tad dog selective. Jimmy was removed for neglect from his previous home so the next home needs to be his perfect home.
