He’s a big guy at about 76 pounds, but don’t let his size fool you, Shadow is mellow, gentle, and very sweet. He enjoys people and is friendly with everyone he meets, but Shadow would do best as the only dog in the home. He’s content soaking up attention from his humans and living the laid-back life. Story
Meet Izzy! Izzy is a calm and affectionate girl. She does wonderfully with kids, dogs, and cats, though she sometimes needs a gentle reminder that cats don’t always want to play as much as she does (and she listens well!) With her thick, incredibly soft coat, Izzy is perfectly suited for Wisconsin’s cooler temperatures and loves being outside exploring at her own relaxed pace. She’s a low-energy pup, happy to sniff around the yard, chew on a bone, or simply enjoy being near her people. If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing companion who fits seamlessly into family life, Izzy might be your perfect match. 🐾 Apply to adopt Izzy at www.tailsofhopewi.org! Story
Meet Bella! Bella is an 8-month-old female Great Pyrenees with a stunning white coat and a light brown patch, and a heart just as big as her paws. At around 70 lbs and still growing, this gentle giant is very much a puppy at heart and is expected to be a large, majestic girl when fully grown.Bella loves games of chase, tug, and gentle wrestling, though she’s just as happy flopping dramatically on the floor when she decides playtime is over. Her past has shaped her into a deeply grateful and gentle soul. After spending much of her life tied outside and later in a crowded living situation, Bella truly appreciates having her own space where she can rest undisturbed. She adjusted quickly to foster life and settled in beautifully, forming bonds fast and learning the rhythms of home life.Bella enjoys slow, sniffy walks (about two 30-minute walks a day) and short bursts of backyard play. A fenced yard is strongly recommended, ideally a 5-foot fence, though a long line with close supervision could work. Due to her size and breed traits, she’s not well-suited for apartment or townhome living. She’s not particularly vocal, does not bark or whine when left alone, and while she can be a little unsure when her person leaves her line of sight, she is learning to self-soothe and settle independently with time and patience. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, soft-hearted Great Pyrenees who just wants a safe home, steady routine, and someone to love, Bella might be your perfect match. If you are interested in Bella, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
