Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi, I'm Lane. I am a four year old girl who has enough energy to power the entire state of NC. I've been at my foster mom's since I was 11 weeks old. I'm really good in my crate during the day while foster mom is at work. I sleep in my crate at night as well. I also express my opinion when I'm crated and something else is happening in the house. I have strong FOMO! I may not look it, but my foster mom.had my DNA tested and I am Great Pyrenees, along with some staffie and some pittie and cattle dog. These long legs like to run lots of zoomies around the yard. They also help me jump like a kangaroo. A high fence may be necessary to contain my excitement. I would do best in an active household, with no small kids and no small animals. I do have a strong herding instinct. My foster mom had a cat that I really like to put in my mouth. I don't think the cat appreciated it very much. But I find it a lot of fun. I don't have to be the only dog in the household, but the other dog should probably be my size or a little larger and most likely a male dog. I seem to get along best with them. No girl drama! I can also be very protective of my stuff - food and toys especially. I don't like sharing them with other dogs. I am also the BEST guard dog - maybe a little too good. I want to alert you that you just let a stranger in the house and I have to go into protector mode. I am still learning that not everyone is trying to sell us solar panels and I don't need to be so mean sounding to foster mom's guests. If you are a dog savvy family that is willing to work with training and help me become the best dog ever, please put in an application. I would love to find my forever home. You can apply to adopt me here: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 30, 2025, 9:23 pm

Story
Hannah is a sweet great Pyrenees, born March of 2024. She is house-trained and crate-trained. She loves to play tug and fetch and lounge around in the yard. We just have too many small and energetic kids for such a large dog. One of our kids has special needs and the total household energy has not allowed us to provide the environment Hannah needs. We are excited for her to share her love with another owner family. The adoption fee is just to ensure Hannah finds a good home. All the proceeds will be donated.

Story
Meet Cotton! This big girl is everything you’d expect from a Great Pyrenees—calm, loyal, and full of love. Cotton adores her foster dog brother and lights up at the sight of treats. She’s a champion napper and would happily spend her days lounging by your side. Cotton loves playtime with her foster brother but mostly enjoys naps on the couch. She and her foster brother love running outside occasionally to bark back at neighborhood dogs (they do an excellent job of protecting their foster home). Cotton would do well in most homes but would benefit from someone who could give her a mid-day potty break. She does well on a leash and enjoys her walks. She does bark at other dogs she encounters. She is unbothered by her human sister (a preschooler) and appreciates that this sister often tries to sneak her treats. Cotton has also been great with other children in her foster’s neighborhood. If you're interested in this sweet girl, please reach out today!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Everest is a gentle soul who thinks he’s a lap dog — he hasn't quite realized just how big he is! At around 5 years old, this big sweetheart is laid-back, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. He adores human attention and would happily spend the day snuggled up with his people. Everest has never met a stranger. He’s friendly with everyone he meets! In his foster home, he’s done wonderfully with four playful puppies, showing patience and calmness beyond compare. While Everest is mostly chill, he does enjoy short bursts of playtime and can often be found doing joyful zoomies in the yard. It’s a brief but adorable reminder of his goofy, playful side. Due to his breed, (Pyrs, love to roam) he will require a fenced in yard (physical fencing attached to the home).  Because of his size, we recommend a home with children 10 and up, simply to prevent any accidental knock-overs. He’s never rough — just a bit of a lovable goof! Everest thrives on companionship and would do best with a family that isn't away for long hours each day. He loves being with his people and would be happiest in a home where he can be near them as much as possible. While he gets along well with other dogs, Everest would also be perfectly content as your one-and-only pet. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinationsClick here to watch a video of Everest.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 18, 2025, 1:17 pm

Story
Finley is a wonderful dog. He loves everyone! He does great with my 2 small dogs and cat. He is Not a working dog. He’s a couch potato. This is my predicament: I have another male GP that is 5 years old. Finley is 1 1/2 years old. Both are neutered. But they both are very protective of me and it has caused some intense aggression between them. I try my best to keep them separated but sometimes it’s difficult. The fights have now become a weekly occurrence at minimum and usually occur in near proximity to me. I will be moving into an RV in the next few months and it’s just not safe to have them where they can’t be separated. He loves being outside, but has been an inside dog. So a fenced yard would be ideal. He loves walks and walks well on a leash once he settles down. He does pull if he sees someone because he loves people. He had puppy shots but is only current on his rabies vaccine. I am more than happy to answer any questions about Finley so don’t hesitate to reach out.
