Meet Stryker! This beautiful girl is an Australian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix born 07/01/2019. She has the shorter stature of an aussie, but this girl weighs in at a hefty 60lbs (she is working on shedding a few). When we met Stryker, she had been seized from her owner by Animal Control due to her condition. This bright girl had an electric fence collar on so tightly it had imbedded itself in her neck, leaving a grisly wound. We quickly got her medical attention, and she healed up so well now you can hardly find a scar! In spite of her origins, Stryker has been bubbly, happy, and loving from the start. She is incredibly outgoing and loves to go on walks with all of our volunteers! She has been groomed several times in our care and our groomer says she does well for her spa days! Since she does have that fluffy coat of a Pyrenees, she will need consistent brushing, and maybe to make good friends with a local groomer! Stryker came from a home with other dogs and a group of cats, and this girl also adores kids! She loves the company of all of the above, but of course if you already have any other dogs a meet and greet is required. Stryker is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Meet Rufus! Rufus is a well-behaved gentleman looking for a place to call home. He is a Great Pyrenees mix with an estimated birthday of 12/01/2021. He weighs in at a solid 87lbs. Rufus came to us in desperate need of a date with our groomer, he had many tough mats and tangles, briars and burs all in his fluffy white coat. He recently got his chance for a cleanup, and our groomer said he was completely professional and patient the whole time. Rufus’ easy-going attitude carries over to other aspects too, he does wonderful with every person he meets, loves the company of other dogs, doesn’t mind cats, and is a gentle giant with kids.Of course, if you already have any other dogs, a meet and greet is always required. On top of Rufus having top-notch manners, he has a silly personality to boot! Underneath his cool and collected mask, Rufus is just as goofy and playful as a puppy can be. He has spent many a nice day bounding around and goofing off in our play yard, and appreciates the joy that comes with a good playtime. Rufus is fully vetted and microchipped, but not neutered yet. From his piercing blue eyes, to his dark brows that frame his little face, and he’s sure to win you over with his love and tenderness. He’s very playful and loves a good antler bone to chew on. He’s a Great Pyrenees mix, so he’s going to be a big boy. But for now he’s just a pup who’s learning the ropes inside of his foster home. He’s following the lead of the resident bigger dogs in the home, and plays very nice with them. Skyler loves nothing more than food, he takes his time savoring every little bite. He’s takes frequent potty breaks outside, and is getting better every day about running to the door when he needs to go out. He is learning about the crate during the day when his fosters are away, it’s not his favorite but after a few minutes he settles down. At night he sleeps snuggled up next to his foster in the bed, and will alert if he needs to go out or get a drink of water. This little guy is going to make a great companion. Critter Cavalry Rescue knows that many dogs do not transition well with toddlers that enter the home after they were the only dogs early in life. Layla is so loved and because of that her owners are admitting that she needs a new start that suits her laidback demeanor. Children over 10 years will be fine. This dog is good on leash walks but doesn’t need to be at dog parks where other dogs will not respect her “space”. She is crate trained but honestly she does no damage if left loose during the day for many hours. Layla does love cats and is a very loving girl that is beautiful and very smart. She has so many years left to bring joy and companionship to someone that just wants her as the only dog and will treasure her as the special girl that she truly is. Meet Judge! Judge is handsome, loving, and ready for a family! Judge is a handsome anatolian shepherd mix with an estimated birthday of 11/01/2021, weighing in at a solid 76lbs. Like most dogs we meet, Judge was found as a stray in less than ideal shape. His poor skin was dry and infested with fleas, and he was long overdue for some TLC. Judge has since had a couple of (very theraputic) baths, and is on the comfortable road to recovery. In spite of his seemingly less than savory history, Judge has never had anything but an amazing attitude with our staff and volunteers. The more we get to know this gentle by, the more we see his silly and sweet personality. Judge loves to be loved on, scratches above his tail are his favorite. He usually doesn't say no to a yummy treat, either. Judge does well with other dogs, but as always we require a meet and greet if you already have any in the home.
