Story
Boogie Woogie is a handsome, lover boy of a dog that just needs a younger family to raise him, play with him and make him a part of their family.  This 4 year old, 80 pound boy is a Great Pyrenees and Collie mix and he is drop dead gorgeous with the most loving personality to match his handsome good looks.  He was taken home as a puppy by a very senior couple who are now in their late 70’s with some dementia problems.  They are not able to meet his needs that a young large breed dog must have.  Boogie is so loving and he is starving for attention and exercise with an actively involved lifestyle that includes his humans.  He is great with people and probably should be in a home with 8+ children as he loves to jump up on you for a welcoming greet.  He really is a Lady’s Man and would be best with female dogs and he will be heavy prey oriented with a cat.   So…let’s not chance a cat in the home.  He is not a dog that is a good match for a farm with horses and cows and fenced yard other livestock.   He could thrive in a fenced yard and he is used to a chain link fence.  He likes being outside when it not hot or humid and can stay outside when the family is not.  He is used to being outside when his family leaves the house.   It is best to either have him outside when you are gone or to crate him when you are not home.  He is not crate trained but could be taught.  He loves running outside and absolutely loves walking beside you on hikes and such.  He walks well on a leash and he is content to be your BFF always.  This is a great dog and one that just needs polishing.  He is not a car riding pro yet but could be and he is not a big barker which is great!  If you are interested in this handsome BIG BOY who just needs a younger and vibrant family or owner…we are looking for a home with a fenced yard and not a townhouse or apartment as he needs access to space to exercise and hang out.  If you are interested please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   He is ready to go! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 3, 2023, 2:09 pm

Story
Look at this charming boy we call Jelly Roll and he is JR for short.   This 10 month old Great Pyrenees mix started off as a mistake litter and the man who allowed them to run free range on his property for months, soon found himself in a real pickle with the authorities.  He has to find a place for these pups or he was going to be fined for them running loose.  He was making noises that he would be shooting the 6 males puppies to avoid a fine.  Yep…he meant it too.  So Critter Cavalry has stepped in to the picture and boarded this handsome pups, neutered, gotten them all up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested and put these handsome boys on prevention and microchipped them.  We are intent on getting them homes with people who will work with some of their rough edges and shyness.  They are good, good young Great Pyr mix dogs.  Jelly Roll in his younger days was accidentally run over by his owner with his truck. His leg was not looked at and he does have a slight limp from the broken leg healing without attention or a splint.  It doesn’t stop him and you really have to LOOK hard to notice the slight limp.  Jelly Roll is all love and heart and is sweet as sweet can be.  He is 80 pounds of love and is a very special boy.  He is a friend to all other dogs, good with children and could care less about cats.  We cannot say he is housebroken because he has honestly never lived in a house.  We want to change that with YOU!  Can you help this boy have a foster home or a forever permanent home?  He is ready to get out of the boarding kennel and be embraced with unconditional affection and acceptance.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in changing his life forever. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
This big handsome Great Pyr mix boy is called Black Eiman and at 10 months of age and 80 pounds, he is a total sweetheart!  Black Eiman is such a happy guy with the most beautiful white coat and black sunglasses surrounding his eyes.  He always seems to be happy with a good-nature and easy going demeanor and he really turns heads wherever he goes.  He has an easy way with other dogs and good with cats.  Eiman is working on leash manners and it’s going well.  This Big LUG of LOVE is fully vetted, microchiped, HW negative and quite healthy.  He will require a fenced yard and you will need to buy LARGE bags of dog food for this boy.  Everybody that meets Eiman just loves him so we can't wait to see this handsome guy get a great home  or even just a foster home.  He is in boarding right now and we would love to have him lounging with a family inside on the sofa!!   If you are interested please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 3, 2023, 2:09 pm

Story
Vandross is our handsome Great Pyr mix boy that is nothing more than a HUGE baby at heart.  Born on Thanksgiving Day 2022, he will be celebrating his first birthday very soon and we are so hopeful that he will have a new family to take him home just in time to give Thanks together. Critter Cavalry Rescue is dedicated to finding him a home and homes for his brothers, Elvis, Black Eimen, Luther, and Jelly Roll.   Vandross would love to have a family of his own that offers him inside dog beds, family time watching football, movies or Animal Planet!   He came from a not so nice situation where the owner was going to shoot him and his siblings so that he would not be evicted for having too many dogs that roamed without a fence.  How could anyone think of such a horrendous thought with such a spectacular creature?  Vandross is still growing and is currently 75 lbs. and a possible top out weight of 90 pounds over the next year.  He is so very loving, great with other dogs, children and even a friend to cats. He has not had much work on the leash and his Great Pyr stubbornness comes upon him when he sees a leash.  He does finally resolve himself to being walked on the leash.  He just needs to have a daily consistency on making it a regular daily routine.  He has come so far and has finally started accepting love and relaxing in all the new worldly experiences that have been coming his way.  This boy is a quick learner and all he wants is to please and give his people his undying LOVE! If you are ready to stroke this handsome boy’s beautiful fur and kiss his face hello every morning then please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   He is ready to be claimed by a wonderful family with a fenced yard to help him stay close to the house.    PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 3, 2023, 2:09 pm

Story
We need some help folks.  Shy Elvis is the one that needs help from someone that knows how to work with shy Great Pyrenees. This 8 month old boy was born to a Great Pyr momma and we don’t know who dad was.  He currently weighs 65 pounds and he avoids people as much as he can at first no matter how many treats or toys that you offer him.  But once you do touch him and have a chance to pet, he calms down and really enjoys the attention and love.  Its slow work but there are accomplishments being made each day.  He was born on a 300 acre farm where he and his sibling brothers and sisters just roamed with no boundaries or attention from the family who had this “mistake” litter.  Eventually neighbors complained of the roaming group of big dogs and the man was going to be fined if he didn’t find a place for the dogs.  He posted that he would shoot them by Sunday if he couldn’t find a place for them.  One brave young couple went and picked up all SIX of the brothers that were left there on the land.  Elvis needs the most work with establishing trust and connecting with the humans around him.  It can be accomplished but not in a group setting in a backyard like he is now.  He needs to be with another confident dog that can show him how to accept the attention from humans and a human who can methodically make the steps to help overcome this shyness.  He is not a fan of riding in a car and does not like to be picked up at all.  There is work to be done for sure.  Some people are gifted with this ability to break them out of their shell.  Could that be you!?  If so, please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We transport from Tennessee northward if needed.  Just say the word!  Shy Elvis Needs Love!! PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 3, 2023, 2:09 pm
