Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

We're the first light pups, because our mom's name is Sonrisa (which sounds like Sunrise)! There are 5 girls and one boy. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
The sun is rising on Ms. Sonrisa here! This beautiful girl is a Great Pyrenees mix and is large-sized with a gorgeous white coat. Sonrisa was abandoned by her previous owner and she gave birth to a litter of 6 puppies at the same time. It wasn't a great time for her, but, after being rescued she's all smiles now! She and her puppies are doing great and are looking for families to consider adopting them! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
I am actually trying to rehome two great Pyrenees. Their names are Adam and Eve and they are outdoor dogs and working dogs. They have spent over a year looking after Sheep. They are brother and sister and she is spayed, but he is not neutered, but I am happy to contribute to cost to neuter him if needed. They eat Purina pro plan and have their whole life. They have regularly been to groomers as well as the vet and are up-to-date on all of their shots and are the most healthy dogs with perfect teeth you can get. They live around cats, kids, and other dogs, including my small dogs, which I have three. We have a small farm and unfortunately, we are having to sell our home and will not be able to bring them to a rental. One of my qualifications is that they go together as they are bonded and cannot be separated, as I think it would break their hearts. They will be happiest at a farm working and wouldn’t know what to do if kept inside. Nashville area TN

Story
My name is Chachi and I am a very handsome and loving Great Pyrenees boy that is 18 months old and only 98 pounds.  I am big but NOT HUGE!   You see me smiling?Well, I do this all the time because I am a happy dog and I want people to know that I am very friendly and ready to be petted.   I really do like all people and all dogs that I meet.  I really, really love children too!   They say that my breed requires a fenced yard and I have to say that is a really good idea.  I like spending time outside and you really don’t want to have to sit and watch me for safety reasons if you don’t have a secured fence.   So…. if you have a physical fenced yard then Critter Cavalry Rescue would like to speak with you.  I think that if you love BIG dogs that I am a rather handsome dude to consider.  Mud puddles might NOT be my friend but big snow falls and deep banks would make me really happy!  I could stay clean very easily.   I am almost housebroken, and crate trained.    I would like to be your inside cuddle/lovebug and maybe help you start the new year off to a nice white fluffy start!  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ASAP and ask all the questions you want about filling out an adoption form.    ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
My name is Ocean and I am a 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix girl that is on the smaller side of 70 pounds and I love being outdoors.   I am looking for a home with some land to run on and a family  that will let me be inside as well as outside.  I am housebroken, great with children and dogs and good on a leash.   If I want out of a chain link yard, I will make sure I find a way out.  The only fence that would completely keep me contained is a privacy fence or a six foot iron fence that I cannot climb.  I just being a free spirit and so I could see myself living in the Northeast especially where it is cold and maybe out in the country or woods where I can explore but willing to always come home. I am truly a loving and sweet girl that  you will never regret loving or adopting.  My current family adores me but their yard is small and I need more room to run and enjoy my Great Pyrenees habits of being an outdoorsy kind of breed.   If you are interested then please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   I am ready to find my final family to love with all my pretty and pure heart.  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Likeable Leo is a very handsome, one year old, 80 pound, Great Pyr boy that is crate trained and a ton of fun.  He loves to play with the other dogs in the fenced backyard and to wrestle and just enjoy the great outdoors.  Leo is so good with people, other dogs and will probably be fine with cats because he is really laidback and easy going.  You need to be sure you know about the Great Pyrenees breed and their unique personalities.  They are more reserved and like to be observers before they commit to being your friend.  Likeable Leo is losing his home because his elderly parents have had health issues and Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping them to rehome all 5 of their dogs.  This boy is ready to go if you are and if you have a fenced yard.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you would like an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 19, 2024, 8:26 am

Story
Odin is a truly handsome, young, 88 pound, Great Pyr boy that was born 1/2/23 and is looking for a family to love and chill with.  This big boy is fully grown and is the so very easy going and good natured.  He was raised with his brother Thor on a country property owned by a senior lady who has come to realize that both the brothers need homes where they can be an inside dog and part of the family.  She cannot provide that and so is now willing to let each one go to separate families that might have children (he loves children) and to be a part of maybe even living with other dogs or cats.  He is good with everyone he meets and all creatures.  This boy is not housebroken as he has never been inside for any length of time to learn the rules and the signals for potty breaks.  He is a loving and easy dog to have around and we want him to become a part of a family life that offers him a big dog bed and lots of love and guidance.  He is good with meeting new people and doesn’t bark excessively at all.  He will bark if he is bored outside in a pen.  He plays nicely and is fun and happy.  If you are interested in this one year old handsome boy please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state and let’s start a conversation about him possibly becoming a part of a special family lifestyle.             ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Odin is a handsome, 3- to 4-year old neutered male, Anatolian Shepherd mix that is looking for his forever home.  A Good Samaritan helped befriend him after his owner moved out of her rental house and left him behind. Odin knows the life of a stray all too well and clearly was the victim of abuse in his past.  However, after he warms up to you, he is a loving, affectionate, loyal boy that is both playful and loves to cuddle. He walks well on a leash, is crate-trained, and rides quietly in the car. He has an eye (and nose!) for all those outdoor critters, so his adventurous side will require a 6-ft fenced in yard to keep him contained. Due do his abusive past, sudden noises or movements can sometimes catch him off guard but he would do well in a home with adults and older children. Odin is good with cats and possibly other dogs if they are respectful of his space.  Odin would do best with a family that includes him in their daily lives and shows him patience and understanding while he adjusts to his new surroundings and routines. He truly is a special boy that will win your heart over if given the chance.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2024, 11:11 pm
