Story
Meet Yuki! This gorgeous three-year old boy needs his forever home. He is 105 lbs of pure sweetness. Yuki is in a foster home and they can't say enough nice things about him. Here's what they have to say about him at their home: “He is a very sweet, loving boy, loves brushing, belly rubs, lets me clean his ears, brush his teeth, walks beautifully. If he sees one of my cats, likes to chase, but came right back to me. Listens to No & correction with collar/leash. I have him in a covered 10 x 10 kennel outside in the shade under trees, with a house in it. I walk him 3 times a day. No messes in kennel. I think he would do great inside also. We go inside the garage, for water, brushing breaks, cleaning ears &loving. He is a gentle giant! Will give Pyr Paw when he wants more pets/loving. Being a Pyrenees, he with give a shoulder hug, so brace up for it. He loves kids, grandchildren tested.” If you are interested in meeting Yuki, please email us at jojosdogrescue @gmail.com and we will send you an application, or download one from our website www.jojosdoghouse.com. Adoption fee is $250 and includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and parasite treatment and prevention. Thanks for choosing adoption! Story
Meet Wally! Wally is a very handsome, very floofy floof of a Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd mix. When he first arrived at his foster home, his predominant coat shade was beige. However, a bath with a couple of good lathering revealed that Wally is actually white (!) with splotches & speckles of red decorating his body. He has some handsome brown markings on his head & face. Now, don’t expect Wally to stay “show room” white because one of his favorite activities is digging random holes in the middle of the back yard & then rolling & lolling in them. He also likes to roll & loll on the couch, which often leads to him ungracefully plopping onto the floor. He quickly picks himself up & we all pretend not to have seen it so as not to embarrass him. Wally is crate trained, gets along famously with other dogs, but will try to assert himself as the dominant male. He is cat safe, adored children, FOOD, getting brushed, hugged, & loved on in general. He is a livestock guardian dog at heart and will protect his family from all squirrels, skunks, opossums that dare to enter his domain. Are you ready to give this magnificent dog the forever home he deserves? Extra Attributes: Good with dogs but will try to be #1 male Your yard will be free from visiting squirrels Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Beryl aka Miss Bea (if you please!) aka Your Future Couch Potato & Loyal Sidekick! Miss Bea returned to us after one of our beloved Coordinators passed away unexpectedly. Miss Bea is about 8 years old, a Great Pyrenees mix (aka Fluff Queen), and about 65 lbs. of pure snuggle potential. Beryl is a sweet, senior lady who’s a bit shy at first - kind of like that one friend who takes a while to warm up but then becomes your ride-or-die. She’s excellent with cats, other dogs, older kids (12+), and she loves the outdoors… just not in a “let’s run a marathon” way. Miss Bea requires a fenced yard (she’s too dignified for leash zoomies), a person who works from home, is retired, or has a flexible schedule (she’s a low-maintenance roommate). Beryl’s Dream Home is quiet, calm, and full of love (she’s not a party animal), a human who doesn’t mind the “awkward phase” where she’s scared of men but quickly becomes a cuddle champion once she knows you, someone who needs a chill companion with a side of sass and pawing for attention. (Don’t worry, she won’t drag you down the street. Beryl’s all about relaxed walks.) She also needs someone who has the time to spoil her with attention and understands that trust takes time. She’s got a lot of love to give, but she’s not into the "speed dating" vibe - she prefers a slow, sweet burn to a lifelong friendship. If you are home more often than not and want a dog who’s more “chill vibes” than “chaos,” Beryl might just be your spirit animal. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/adopt/adoption-application/ then email Debbie@BigFluffyDogs.com. Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process. NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION. WE REGRET WE CANNOT RESPOND TO EVERY EMAIL, BUT UNLESS YOU FILL OUT AN APPLICATION, WE DO NOT KNOW YOU EXIST. All known information about an individual dog is provided in its listing. We do our best to provide accurate information, but adopters should understand that each home is different and the dog may behave differently in a new home. Dogs are creatures of their environment and you help make the dog what it will be. Homes considering adopting a puppy must be prepared for 1.) Flexible schedules for potty training. Puppies can only hold it for one hour per month of age (i.e. a 4-month-old puppy can only go 4 hours without a potty break). 2.) Crate training until the puppy is at least one year old to prevent chewing on inappropriate things when you can't supervise. 3.) Socialization. The more positive and varying experiences as a puppy the better, both in and out of your home. 4.) Puppy behavior and life stages are equivalent to a human toddler. It takes at least a full year to have a calmer, well-adjusted dog. Patience is required and when your dog's behavior is a positive experience for you and those around you, your patience will be rewarded ten-fold, for years to come. Please do not consider adopting a puppy if you have not thoroughly thought through the pros and cons of having one. So many people end up returning them after 3-5 months because they didn't realize the amount of work involved in raising a puppy. Patience, appropriate toys, socialization, and obedience training are all musts. All are time-consuming and can be expensive. All dogs require supervision with children and obedience training. Adopters that want to have good dogs must be prepared to put the time and effort into training a dog. Any dog requires work and effort, but a well trained, well-socialized dog is more than worth the effort to get them there.
