Story
Copper was found as a puppy wondering near IH 35 about 4 years ago. He is a large dog who needs more room to run and play then our small yard allows. He plays well with our medium and small dog but we have to place his food bowl away from then as he does not like them near it. He loves to cuddle and lay his head in your lap anytime he's inside.

Story
Hello my name is Scott, my parents are getting too old to take care of me and need a new home so I can get lots of cuddles. Scott is a sweet dog he does have a bite history with another dog but he’s good with his sister, he listen pretty good despite not much training. He is crate trained (if you throw a treat in) kinda leash trained ( I am trying to train him with my crazy school schedule)he’s also afraid of the rain and get very jumpy. Need gone ASAP

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bolt is waiting patiently for his forever home! Bolt is a 5 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees-Catahoula leopard dog mix. Bolt is a sweet and loyal companion, enjoys being in the yard when his foster mom gardens, and loves pets and attention. Bolt has a serious side, he barks when he perceives a threat (the UPS truck, mailman, etc) and a silly side, finding all sorts of random things to play with-he’d rather forage something around the house and cares less about dog toys. Bolt is super helpful around the house, he loves to help load the dishwasher, clean off the counters, and helps with the laundry by dragging clothes and towels from the laundry room outside in the rain, lol, he’s all about conservation! His new family should be sturdy as he can get spunky and want to play while doing zoomies around his people. He would love his own person/people to reciprocate his loyalty, someone who likes to relax and also find adventure. If you are looking for your “ride or die” dog, that’s Bolt, he is smart and eager to please. Bolt could get along with a female dog but would prefer to eat alone. Bolt is being fostered in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within WA and OR . All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Magoo!  Magoo (previously Boone) was picked up by community members and brought to a WA shelter.  We think he’s around 18 months old.  Community members rallied, found a foster and we were contacted to see if we could take him.   The foster says he has proven himself to be a sweet, playful boy who is curious but respectful of his new surroundings.  His favorite place to sit is high on the hill to watch the lower pastures, sometimes patrolling the fence line to get a better view.  He is respectful of indoor cats (still is figuring out not to chase outdoor cats), has gotten along with the variety of dogs that lives there big and small, and have been exposed to horses and donkeys with minimal reaction.  So far he’s been gentle with the children he’s met.  He’ll need help learning how to enjoy car rides and walking on a leash.  If Magoo sounds like he would make a great addition to your household, head to the website to complete and application.  Magoo is being fostered in Carnation, WA and can be transported within WA-OR.   All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Transport Fee: $350 Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport. Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959   Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 20, 2026, 11:35 pm
