PLEASE NOTE: This animal is a courtesy listing and not affiliated with our rescue in any way. You must contact 301-509-0139 if you are interested in this animal. Big teddy/Polar bear for adoption! Calling all large dog people! This lovely doggo is looking for his place to call home! Found dumped on the side of the road with no microchip, he is now all vetted and looking for a new place to call home. Meet Milo! He is a young lad at the ripe age of ~1yr old. He is thought to be a lab/ pyrenees/shepherd mix. This sweet boy is potty trained, walks well on leash, and loves other dogs. He has done well with both large and small dogs. He is a laidback, medium energy guy who loves his belly rubs but still has his puppy energy with spirts of zoomies outside. Milo has shown to be a goofy dude that can always make you laugh. He would love to be your shadow and observe everything you do. He settles well in his crate or if confined to a room. He still needs some help with his basic training but that should be a breeze! Milo is estimated to be about 1 year old and 100 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $250. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bolt is waiting patiently for his forever home! Bolt is a 5 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees-Catahoula leopard dog mix. Bolt is a sweet and loyal companion, enjoys being in the yard when his foster mom gardens, and loves pets and attention. Bolt has a serious side, he barks when he perceives a threat (the UPS truck, mailman, etc) and a silly side, finding all sorts of random things to play with-he’d rather forage something around the house and cares less about dog toys. Bolt is super helpful around the house, he loves to help load the dishwasher, clean off the counters, and helps with the laundry by dragging clothes and towels from the laundry room outside in the rain, lol, he’s all about conservation! His new family should be sturdy as he can get spunky and want to play while doing zoomies around his people. He would love his own person/people to reciprocate his loyalty, someone who likes to relax and also find adventure. If you are looking for your “ride or die” dog, that’s Bolt, he is smart and eager to please. Bolt could get along with a female dog but would prefer to eat alone. Bolt is being fostered in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within WA and OR . All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Dixie is a clever girl waiting for her forever family! This smart 8-month-old, 80 lb sweetheart is incredibly attuned to her people and will follow you from room to room—she never wants to miss a moment with you. Dixie is fully potty trained and recently discovered the joys of couch life, making her an excellent Netflix companion (good luck getting her to move once she's settled in). She loves occupying herself with a good chew toy or bone, and she's hilariously enthusiastic about chasing balls, though she hasn't quite mastered the "bringing it back" part of fetch yet. Dixie is wonderful with dogs of all sizes and is currently learning how to play gently with her 12 lb Chihuahua foster sister. She's curious about cats but respects their boundaries. Her new family should be ready to continue her leash training and work on basic commands. If you want a smart, affectionate companion who will be your constant sidekick, Dixie is waiting for you! Dixie's spay is scheduled for Feb 17 and she can go home after that!  Dixie is being fostered in Portland, OR and can be adopted within OR and WA. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES THAT HAVE AT LEAST ONE MEDIUM TO LARGE YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG that is age 1 or older. They also must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. 3) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone must also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8+ hours a day. 4) We give preference to applicants with prior Great Pyrenees knowledge/experience. 5) Secure and visible fencing required. 6) You must have a plan in place to socialize your puppy properly. Adoption Fee: $375 All of our puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  A note from Duke:  Hey there, I'm Duke!  A soft, loyal, slightly goofy guy looking for my forever home.  I'm happiest when I get to run, dig cozy holes to nap in, or go on sniffing adventures (my nose leads the way!).  I'm a bit of a climber too-fences don't slow me down much-so I'll need a safe, secure space to keep my exploring paws where they belong. I love food, toys, and finding the squeaker in every toy I meet.  Snacks and playtime are my two favorite things!  I also know basic commands and I'm a really good listener when you talk to me kindly-I'll even roll right over for belly rubs.  I get along great with dogs of all sizes (except one unneutered male who just rubbed me the wrong way) and I'm cat friendly too.  The truth is, I'm a gentle soul.  I get a little scared when voices are raised or there's sudden movement,  so I'd do best with someone who has a calm, patient energy. Leash walks are fun-unless there's something really interesting to smell, then I might tug a bit.  My fur is super soft, but when I get muddy (which I love), the dirt mysteriously ends up on the floor once it dries...can't imagine how that happens?!  Oh, and one more thing, I don't like the color red.  Don't ask me why, I just don't trust it.  If you've got a farm or plenty of room to roam, I'd be the happiest boy by your side.  I've got a big heart, a playful spirit, and I'm ready to love my person forever.  Love, Duke. Duke is in Snohomish and can be available within WA-OR. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 27, 2026, 1:42 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet Dory!  Dory is a classic Great Pyrenees sweetheart—116 pounds of pure floof who’s convinced she’s a lap dog. She’s pyr-fected the legendary Pyr Paw and uses it generously for extra love. Dory walks beautifully on a gentle leader and has shown she’s a polite, playful friend, doing great with both a 4-month-old puppy and an energetic 3-year-old, 30 lb dog. If you’re looking for a gentle giant with a loving heart (and excellent paw skills), Dory might just be your girl.  Dory is said to be good with dogs, cats, all people and children over 6 yrs old.  Dory is being fostered in Bend, OR and can be transported within OR-WA. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello!  I'm Elton, also known as Elton Cheese and Crackers because I LOVE cheese!  I have to tell you that I had a pretty rough start in life, but now that I'm in my foster home I'm gaining confidence and learning how to be a dog. My foster parents tell me that I'm doing great and that I learn very quickly.  They're impressed at how I've progressed but I will still need someone with time and patience to continue working with me. I am potty trained, and walk well on a leash. I get along famously with my dog brother and dogs I meet at doggie daycare or the dog park.  My foster parents are currently working with me on learning basic commands which I'm learning pretty quick because I will do anything for CHEESE!  I've also just learned how fun it is to have a Kong toy filled with Cheerios and a snuffle mat to find treats hidden in!  I have gone on many adventures with my foster parents and really enjoy hiking and exploring the forest trails.  I LOVE being outside! I’m told that I’d probably also do well as someone’s running partner. I will need a playful medium to large dog in the home to help me continue to learn and enjoy all the things about being a dog, and to help me get the exercise and mental stimulation that I need.  I may be a little shy when I first meet you but it's nothing personal, I was not socialized for the first 10 months of my life.  I hope you'd like to meet me and make me part of your family, I'm so excited to get to do all sorts of great dog things as I grow up! Elton is currently being fostered in Seattle and is available for adoption in WA and OR. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.
