Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Joy to CCPAL Rescue. Joy is a Great Pyrenees. She is a 1-year-old and she weighs about 80 pounds. She is a guardian breed dog. She came to the rescue because her owner lived in an apartment and her owner thought she was too affectionate. Great Pyrenees are best with a home that has a fenced yard. She would be great with children. She has a long coat and regular brushing will be needed to keep her beautiful and mat free. We would love someone that knows the Great Pyrenees breed. She is potty trained and good on a leash. She is a wonderful gem and we are fortunate to be finding her forever home. We are looking for an owner that likes an affectionate dog that likes to be touched and will nudge for more. She is good with other dogs and strangers. She will bond deeply with her owner and be protective as she will think that is her job. She is getting her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!

The name Macy are known to have personality's that are talented, affectionate, reliable and charming. Well ok, that sums me up pretty much to a T. I'm all that and a great big bag of chips!!! I am an awesome gal that is well behaved, loving and and all around great family member. My foster mom has this to say about me - She is everything you would want in a companion-sweet, cuddle, loyal, protective, and gentle with small kids. She loves car rides, and is house trained. While we are at work she mostly just naps. She does not get on furniture or jump in greeting. Her worst habit is snoring. 💤 She is 5 years old this past January, and is a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix. If you are familiar with this breed you’ll know what great family dogs they are known to be, with Macy being no exception. I come in at a mild 100lbs, but don't you let that deter you, I know I'm a bigger gal and am very gentle. My 100lbs just means there is more of me to love you!!!!! I would make a pawsome companion to take on nature hikes and camping trips, neighborhood strolls and doggie park trips. You name the activity and if it includes you, I'm all in!!! With my many great personality traits and my beautiful good looks, I've got a lot going for me, except one thing....YOU!!

Story
Hi! I'm Bailey. I'm looking for a family of my own. I'd love to be in a family home or on a working farm. I'm a big gal so will need a securely fenced yard . I would love to hang out with my people, going in and out of the house at will, being part of all the action. I am crate trained and walk on a leash. I do like kids and the companionship of another dog my size. Even though I'm a working breed, I just want to be a family pet! Prefer no cat home. Let's meet and see if we'd be a love match! Just fill out my adoption application to begin the process.
