"Meet Friend! His name says it all. Friend is a handsome black male greyhound born on August 20, 2021, and if you're looking for a calm, easy-going companion who simply enjoys being part of the family, Friend may be the perfect match. This sweet boy is the definition of laid-back. He is quiet, well-mannered, and content to take life at a relaxed pace. Friend is the kind of dog who doesn't create drama, doesn't demand constant attention, and is simply a pleasure to have around. Whether you're relaxing at home, taking a leisurely walk, or enjoying a day by the water, Friend is happy to be by your side. One of his favorite places is the beach, where he can soak up the sights, sounds, and smells while spending time with his people. He has also been around children aged four years and older and has done very well, making him a wonderful candidate for a family home. Friend travels beautifully and shows no signs of stress in the car. He has some crate training and settles easily into new situations. During his assessment, he walked nicely on lead and remained completely relaxed throughout. While some dogs feel the need to be the center of attention, Friend was content to quietly observe his surroundings, taking everything in stride. When he met his assessor, he offered a polite sniff, enjoyed some affection, and happily interacted without being overly energetic or demanding. His gentle nature and calm confidence make him incredibly easy to be around. Friend also has excellent manners around other dogs. He gets along well with both large and small dogs and showed no signs of possessiveness around treats or food. In fact, he was so unconcerned that he didn't seem to mind when another dog helped itself to his treats. His relaxed attitude and friendly disposition make him a wonderful companion in multi-dog households. That said, Friend's independent nature means he may also be perfectly happy as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention from his family. He doesn't seem to rely on other dogs for confidence or entertainment and appears comfortable simply being himself. If you're searching for a loyal companion with a gentle soul, easy manners, and a wonderfully relaxed outlook on life, Friend is ready to become exactly what his name promises—a true friend for life. Friend sounds like the kind of greyhound many adopters dream of: calm, uncomplicated, affectionate, and content just being part of the family."

"Spirit is a beautiful black female greyhound born on February 11, 2024, and she truly lives up to her name. This lovely young girl has a sweet, friendly nature and approaches new experiences with confidence and enthusiasm. From the moment Spirit arrived for her assessment, she impressed everyone with her easy-going attitude. She walked beautifully on lead, eagerly entered the house, and confidently navigated three stairs without hesitation or pulling. She also settled quickly and comfortably into the car, happily riding alongside her sister, Scotch. Spirit absolutely loves people. When she met her assessor and the assessor's daughter, she was friendly, outgoing, and eager to interact. She genuinely enjoys human company and was happy to engage with everyone she met, making it easy to see what a wonderful companion she will be. Her social skills extend to other animals as well. Spirit showed no signs of resource guarding while spending time with other dogs in the yard and demonstrated excellent manners throughout her assessment. She spent considerable time roaming with small dogs and interacted beautifully, showing a calm and respectful approach. She was equally comfortable around other greyhounds and dogs her own size. Spirit also met a cat and handled the introduction exceptionally well. While she initially showed some curiosity, she disengaged very easily. Once her muzzle was removed, she chose not to approach the cat at all, suggesting she could be a wonderful candidate for a home with a confident, dog-savvy feline companion. Inside the house, Spirit continued to shine. She confidently walked across wooden floors and tile surfaces without any concern, adapting easily to the sights and sounds of a home environment. Her ability to settle quickly and take new experiences in stride speaks volumes about her temperament and readiness for family life. Spirit is a happy, affectionate, well-mannered young greyhound who seems ready to embrace retirement and all the comforts that come with it. Whether she's spending time with people, relaxing with canine friends, or learning the routines of home life, she does it all with grace and enthusiasm. If you're looking for a loving, social, and adaptable companion, Spirit may be the perfect addition to your family. Spirit sounds like one of those rare greyhounds who makes the transition to pet life look effortless—friendly, confident, and ready to fit right into a loving home."

Story
"Scotch is a beautiful black female greyhound born on February 2, 2024, and she is every bit as delightful as her name suggests. This happy, easy-going young girl combines a playful spirit with a wonderfully relaxed temperament, making her an ideal companion for many different types of homes. From the start of her assessment, Scotch demonstrated how well she handles new experiences. She walked beautifully on lead and confidently navigated three stairs into the house without hesitation. Once in the yard, she settled immediately, showing a calm and comfortable demeanor that made it clear she takes life's changes in stride. Scotch is a people-oriented girl who loves attention. She readily approached her assessor for pats and affection and was eager to interact throughout her visit. Her friendly, outgoing personality makes her a joy to be around, and she clearly enjoys being part of the action. When it comes to other dogs, Scotch truly shines. She is well socialized and displayed excellent manners while interacting with dogs of all sizes. She played politely, roamed the yard comfortably with both large and small dogs, and showed no signs of resource guarding. Her easy-going approach and friendly nature made her a welcome companion to everyone she met. Scotch also met a cat during her assessment. While she initially showed some curiosity, she responded very well to redirection and disengaged easily multiple times. Once her attention shifted away from the cat, she did not seek out further interaction unless the assessor encouraged it. Her ability to redirect and move on suggests she may do well in a home with a confident, dog-savvy cat. One of the most endearing things about Scotch is her joyful spirit. She spent time doing playful zoomies around the yard, enjoying toys, and engaging with the other dogs. Despite her youthful enthusiasm, she remained relaxed and stress-free throughout the assessment, taking everything in stride with a happy, confident attitude. Scotch is the kind of greyhound who seems ready to embrace retirement with open paws. She is social, affectionate, playful, and wonderfully adaptable. Whether she's joining you for an adventure, making new friends, or simply relaxing at home, Scotch is sure to bring joy and laughter to her future family. If you're looking for a loving companion with a sweet personality and a playful sparkle, Scotch may be the perfect match for you. Scotch sounds like a fantastic combination of fun and easy-going—a young greyhound who loves to play but already has the calm temperament that makes greyhounds such wonderful family companions."

Panda would likely do well in a home with a confident, easy-going cat who is comfortable around dogs. Inside the house, Panda continued to show what a wonderful companion he will make. He did not counter surf, chew on household items, or get into mischief. Instead, he happily settled into his playpen and relaxed quietly while his assessor worked, demonstrating an impressive ability to entertain himself and settle into a home environment. Panda is the complete package—handsome, calm, friendly, cat workable, small-dog friendly, and wonderfully well-mannered. He is ready to trade his racing days for a soft bed, loving family, and a lifetime of companionship. If you're looking for an easy-going greyhound who will fit seamlessly into your home, Panda may be the perfect match. With his unique markings, gentle personality, and effortless transition into home life, Panda is sure to make one lucky family very happy.
