Story
If you've been dreaming of a loyal companion who simply wants to be by your side, then Lady may be the perfect match. Lady is an incredibly sweet, social girl with a heart full of love. She's happiest when she's close to her people and is a true cuddle expert. In the evenings, she'll happily snuggle up beside you, rest her head in your lap, and soak up as many pats as you'll give her—she could easily spend an hour there! She comes when called by name and loves being part of the family. She has wonderful house manners and settled into home life almost immediately. Wooden floors? No problem. Stairs? She tackled them with confidence. She also travels beautifully in the car and walks like a dream on leash, making outings together a pleasure. Lady gets along very well with other dogs, including small dogs, and enjoys their company. While she has done wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, we're not yet confident about how she'd do with cats. Her calm, affectionate nature makes her an ideal companion for someone looking for a devoted best friend—especially an older person or anyone who would love a constant, loving presence around the home.

Story
"Liz is a beautiful black female greyhound born on April 10, 2024. This sweet young girl has a gentle, thoughtful nature and is ready to find a family who will help her blossom. Liz traveled well and patiently waited her turn for her assessment, showing just how calm and well-mannered she is. On leash, she walks nicely with only a slight pull, making her an enjoyable companion for daily strolls. When introduced to a new environment, Liz was a little quiet at first, taking a moment to observe her surroundings. Before long, her curiosity took over, and she happily began sniffing and exploring. She approaches new experiences with quiet confidence and simply appreciates a little time to settle in. Around people, Liz is affectionate and eager to make friends. She may be a touch shy during first introductions, but it's easy to see that she wants to interact. Once she feels comfortable, she's happy to come over for pets and enjoys gentle attention. Liz also showed no signs of resource guarding during her assessment, reflecting her easygoing temperament. She has been described as a lovely, quiet girl—the kind of greyhound who will thrive in a home where she can build trust, enjoy peaceful companionship, and become a devoted family member. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle greyhound with a calm personality and a heart full of potential, Liz may be the perfect match for you."

Story
"Kathy is a stunning black greyhound born on June 17, 2022, and she's ready to bring endless fun, laughter, and love to her forever family. If you're looking for a greyhound with personality to spare, Kathy is your girl! She's happy, playful, confident, and absolutely full of beans. Her carers describe her as a ""bit of a kook""—the kind of dog who keeps you smiling with her hilarious antics and joyful outlook on life. She's affectionate, loves a good pat, and is always a delight to interact with. Kathy travels well and showed wonderful patience while waiting her turn during her formal assessment, demonstrating that she can settle nicely when needed. On walks, she can be a little enthusiastic and is somewhat strong on lead, but she's very manageable and will only improve with a little guidance and consistency. She's also a wonderful canine citizen. Kathy has been friendly with dogs of all sizes and showed no signs of resource guarding, even during her assessment. While she hasn't yet been tested with cats, her confident and social nature gives her a great foundation for continued evaluations.

Story
"Don't let the name fool you—Rowdy is anything but! This handsome black greyhound raced as Doonooch Dancer, and while he may have danced around the racetrack, these days he'd much rather dance his way into your heart. Born on December 27, 2021, Rowdy is approaching his fifth birthday and is ready to celebrate it with a family of his very own. Rowdy is a confident, friendly boy who takes life's adventures in stride. He walks beautifully on a loose lead with relaxed, wiggly movements, making strolls together an absolute pleasure. Whether he's exploring a new park, a new neighborhood, or your backyard, his curiosity shines through as he happily investigates everything around him. Meeting new people? That's one of Rowdy's favorite activities! He approaches everyone with soft, welcoming body language and an easygoing personality that makes fast friends wherever he goes. One thing you'll quickly discover about Rowdy is that he's a bit of a foodie. During his assessment, he was completely fascinated by the handler's treat pouch and eagerly hoped a snack might be coming his way. (Honestly, can you blame him?) When tested for resource guarding, he happily enjoyed his meal, briefly paused when approached, and then calmly returned to eating—showing no concerning behaviors. Rowdy is also wonderfully social with other dogs and gets along well with dogs of all sizes, making him an excellent companion for multi-dog households. When introduced to a cat, Rowdy noticed it, perked up his ears, and watched quietly before choosing to move away on his own. His response suggests that, with patient introductions and positive training, he could become cat workable in the right home. Rowdy is one of those greyhounds who seems to take life exactly as it comes—with curiosity, confidence, and a wagging tail. He's affectionate without being demanding, adventurous without being overwhelming, and always ready to see what the next walk, treat, or cuddle has in store. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and just the right amount of goofy charm, Rowdy is ready to prove that the only thing ""rowdy"" about him is his name. Could Rowdy be the perfect new dance partner for your family?"

Story
DOB: May 8, 2022 Wgt: 75 lbs Small dogs: showed interest, happy and playful and disengaged on his own. No cats Prey Drive: Low, no interest "Zulu's journey has already taken him across Australia. Born in Victoria on May 8, 2022, this handsome brindle boy finished his racing career in New South Wales and is now ready for his greatest adventure yet—finding a family to call his own. Zulu is the kind of greyhound who likes to take a moment to figure things out. In new environments, he may start off a little cautious, quietly taking everything in before deciding it's safe. But give him a little time, and you'll see his confidence begin to shine. When exploring somewhere new, Zulu's nose is almost always to the ground as he carefully investigates every interesting scent. Once he gets moving, he settles into his walk and enjoys discovering the world around him. He comes happily when called but is always eager to see what exciting smells might be waiting just around the corner. And then...the fun begins. As Zulu relaxes, his playful personality starts to emerge. He'll surprise you with joyful little zoomies and adorable play bows that are guaranteed to make you smile. Watching him transform from a cautious observer into a happy, playful goof is one of the many rewards of getting to know this wonderful boy. Zulu is friendly with dogs of all sizes, making him a great companion for homes with other canine friends. He has also shown encouraging signs that he could become cat workable with patient introductions, positive reinforcement, and thoughtful training. Zulu isn't looking for perfection—he's simply looking for someone willing to let him settle in at his own pace. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion who grows more confident, affectionate, and playful every day. If you appreciate the quiet joy of earning a dog's trust and watching their true personality blossom, Zulu may be exactly the companion you've been waiting for. His racing days are behind him, and now he's ready to explore life's greatest adventure—with you by his side."
