Aimee Lou is an adorable 8-month-old, 16-pound Havapoo mix with a heart full of love. She came to us as an owner surrender from Taft after our rescue team saw a Facebook post about her needing a new home. Aimee Lou has a sweet, bubbly personality. She loves being held, adores playing with toys, and gives the most heartwarming eye contact, showing just how trusting and friendly she is. She’s very social and would thrive in a home with other gentle, submissive dogs. She is great with kids, loves attention, and is happiest when snuggled close to the people she adores. Her playful, affectionate nature makes her a joy to be around, and she’s always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and cheerful spirit. Aimee Lou is up-to-date on her vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. She’s ready to find a loving forever home where she can feel safe, cherished, and truly part of a family. Melly is very sweet, loving, cuddly, and playful! She’s gotten all the vaccines she needs and is spayed. May need boosters in the future. She’s about 9 months and was rescued from the shelter. Unfortunately, my situation doesn’t allow me to keep her as much as I want to. She deserves a loving forever home! Story
Rose is a sweet 9 yr old Havanese Shih Tzu mix. Her previous family used this pretty girl to make puppies for extra cash. When her owner died, she eventually ended up living in a mechanic shop! When we found out about their situation, we immediately sent a volunteer to go and rescue them. Rose is with Rufus, who is possibly her son. Both dogs are very sweet, well behaved and affectionate. Both Rose and Rufus are friendly, and get along well with new people, other dogs and children. Rufus is about 3 yrs old, very sweet, loving and mellow. He gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids. We had him examined by our vet, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Rose is loving senior, about 9 yrs old, and is possibly Rufus' mother. Rose is a Havanese/ Shih Tzu mix. She is healthy, and we have had her spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Rose gets along well with other dogs and children, but is very interested in cats, so should go to a home that is cat free. Rose has some previously untreated skin issues, but is otherwise healthy. Both dogs are small, well behaved and extremely loving. They are easy going and don't have any destructive habits like digging, barking or chewing. They are content to just be around someone. They grew up as part of a family and will easily fit into any home. They are low energy and would be perfect for a retired person or someone who works from home. We're looking for an foster or adopter in the Southern California area. My brother and I were surrendered by our Previous Owners family. Unfortunately, they got deported and their family didn’t want to take care of us. I’ve spent most of my life outside, but I am potty trained since coming to the rescue. I’ve made a lot of new friends and I’m very social and very sweet. My rescuer thought it would be nice to hire someone who didn’t have much experience to give me a haircut so I’m looking a little funny right now, but when my hair grows back, I promise I’ll look like my original picture. She decided not to allow that person to shave my brother, but I am more social and outgoing and playful, and I would be great as an only dog or a companion for another dog. I’m pretty laid-back. I don’t have any bad habits, but I really love people I would fit almost any family dynamic whether you live in an apartment or a big house I would do great. I do understand most commands in Spanish, but I’m learning to understand English. Meet Victoryl! He is the sweetest boyl! He is a 5 year old that was rescued from a breeding farm before heading to a dog meat farm in South Korea.  We have partners we work with there that pull these dogs from the worst horrors imaginable.  Many of these dogs start off in horiffic puppy mill type facilities on tiny rabbit cage size wire crates in complete filth.  If they are not sold at 6 or 8 weeks then they either stay for a couple years to be used to breed more and then are sold off to the meat trade, or they are sold off right away.  Jindo's and Tosa's are the most common meat type dogs, and are very commonly bred specifically for their meat and the meat farms also act as breeding farms until they reach a good age and weight. South Korea is one of the only countries that actually farms dogs for their meat.   Restaurants will serve a dish called " bosintang ", which stands for "dog meat soup". It's a popular dish in South  Korea,  and is said to act as an aphrodisiac for men.    Little dogs are used for elixirs and potions.  The younger generation is mostly against this practice and many choose to not eat them, and we can only hope in time with education and generations of change that an end will come to this horrific trade.  Victory and some of his family and friends have been flown here for a chance at a future and a real life.  These are miracle dogs that they are alive today.  Our adoption fee is $600 which helps offset some of the flight costs.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application form at  https://form.jotform.com/oscarlucy/dog-adoption-app January 19, 2026, 9:11 pm
