Apple is a 1-year-old Havanese weighing around 12 lbs who is still learning to feel safe in the world. She was rescued from a hoarding situation, and because of that, she’s taking her time figuring out how to navigate life with people. Apple is crate trained and is fine with other dogs and cats, but also likes her own space. With humans, she needs a slower approach. She can become defensive when she feels unsure, so it’s important that her adopter understands the value of patience, consistency, and giving her the space to build confidence at her own pace. She tends to bond more quickly with women and thrives in a calm, predictable environment. Apple would do best in a quiet home with someone who can meet her where she is and gently guide her forward. Patty is a 2-year-old Havanese mix with a playful spirit and a growing sense of confidence. She came to us with a very matted coat, so she’s sporting a short haircut for now—but once her soft curls grow back, she’ll be looking like a little superstar! Patty is settling into her foster home and learning new things every day. Her previous home loved her, but didn’t have much time for training, so she’s still working on some basics. She’s leash trained, nearly housebroken, and absolutely loves toys—especially stealing socks, so guard your laundry! She’d do best in a home with no kids, and we’re still getting to know how she feels about other dogs. We’ll continue to update as we learn more. Patty is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and will be spayed soon. With a little time and patience, she’s going to make a wonderful companion. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. Treatment completed. *Rescue Story Wooyeon was found wandering the streets by two sisters, who brought her to a veterinary clinic. At the hospital, she was diagnosed with Babesia and heartworm. Unfortunately, due to the high cost of treatment, the original sisters left her at the hospital and could not continue her care. She was later transferred to a nearby private shelter, where she received full treatment and recovery support.
