I'm a cute little guy. I love people, children and other dogs, just not big ones. They make me nervous.I'm not housebroken, but I'm getting better at learning where to go. I'm underweight but we are working on that too. I would love to meet you and see if we are a fit.

Story
Hi! I’m Velour, but my foster mom calls me Clover. My foster mom says I’m small but mighty—and I think she’s right. I’m a 8-year-old cuddle expert with a shy, gentle, and affectionate soul. I feel safest when I’m close to my foster mom—wherever she goes, I go too. She’s my security blanket, and I truly thrive on companionship (especially if it includes cuddles and head scratches). I get along wonderfully with my four foster dog siblings and would do best in a home with another dog to keep me company and help build my confidence. I have some separation anxiety, so having a furry friend around really helps me feel calm and secure. I’m great with older, gentle children, but a home without young kids would be best for me so I can continue to blossom in a peaceful, loving environment. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a big heart, I just might be your girl. I promise to stay by your side and fill your days with quiet love and warm cuddles. Story
Born on June 27,2020, Luckii Marshall was purchased from Citi Pups on August 30, 2020. He is a mixed breed Havapoo. He loves to play and would do great in a house with people who can spend a lot of time with him. He is house trained and kennel trained. He likes his independence so if you cannot find him he is more than likely cuddled up on a bean bag chair or something similar. Loves walks and lots of cuddles.

Story
Patty is a 2-year-old Havanese mix with a playful spirit and a growing sense of confidence. She came to us with a very matted coat, so she’s sporting a short haircut for now—but once her soft curls grow back, she’ll be looking like a little superstar! Patty is settling into her foster home and learning new things every day. Her previous home loved her, but didn’t have much time for training, so she’s still working on some basics. She’s leash trained, nearly housebroken, and absolutely loves toys—especially stealing socks, so guard your laundry! She’d do best in a home with no kids, and we’re still getting to know how she feels about other dogs. We’ll continue to update as we learn more. Patty is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and will be spayed soon. With a little time and patience, she’s going to make a wonderful companion. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications! 2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better. 3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.) 4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you. Story
Meet Coco, a 6-year-old, 12-pound Havanese bundle of love with the softest fur and the sweetest soul! She is happiest when she’s curled up right next to you, whether you’re relaxing on the couch or working at your desk. Coco is incredibly affectionate and forms a close bond with her people. She’ll happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. She’s great with commands, eager to please, and has wonderful house manners. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will shower you with love, Coco is your girl. Coco still working on her potty training, but she reliably uses pee pads and is making steady progress. She enjoys going outside for walks and takes in the world with gentle curiosity. At the end of the day, though, her favorite place is snuggled up by your side. Coco is truly as sweet as they come and would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of cuddles, companionship, and love. Coco is currently being fostered in New Jersey and her adoption fee is $600. Coco is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. "To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal."

Story
Meet Luna! Luna is a six year old, 12 pound purebred Havanese who lived her whole life as a puppy mill mom. This quiet little girl is finally free from the forced breeding and is deeply deserving of a peaceful loving home of her own. Luna’s strengths are her gentle nature, her sweetness and her resilience. She has not let her past affect her loving personality. She is shy about loud noises and fast moving, but approaching her slowly and letting her sniff will make her your friend. Luna really wants to be loved. In foster care for only one week, she has already come so far: approaching for pets, wagging her tail, being held for hours.Luna has the softest, most luxurious fur so holding her and petting her makes both her and the lucky person happy. Her favorite things include chicken, salami and cheese, and who could blame her? She is still unsure about walking in the city and loud noises, but loves going to the park once she gets there to smell all the good smells. In terms of house training, Luna used pee pads during the blizzard, but she is pretty consistent with a set walk schedule (and no whiteout!) If you’re looking for a gentle, sweet and loving lapdog who is happy just to be with you, Luna is your girl. Luna is currently being fostered in Doylestown PA. Her adoption fee is $600. Luna is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees.
