She was rescued from a hoarding situation, and because of that, she’s taking her time figuring out how to navigate life with people. Apple is crate trained and is fine with other dogs and cats, but also likes her own space. With humans, she needs a slower approach. She can become defensive when she feels unsure, so it’s important that her adopter understands the value of patience, consistency, and giving her the space to build confidence at her own pace. She tends to bond more quickly with women and thrives in a calm, predictable environment. Apple would do best in a quiet home with someone who can meet her where she is and gently guide her forward. Patty is a 2-year-old Havanese mix with a playful spirit and a growing sense of confidence. She came to us with a very matted coat, so she’s sporting a short haircut for now—but once her soft curls grow back, she’ll be looking like a little superstar! Patty is settling into her foster home and learning new things every day. Her previous home loved her, but didn’t have much time for training, so she’s still working on some basics. She’s leash trained, nearly housebroken, and absolutely loves toys—especially stealing socks, so guard your laundry! She’d do best in a home with no kids, and we’re still getting to know how she feels about other dogs. We’ll continue to update as we learn more. Patty is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and will be spayed soon. With a little time and patience, she’s going to make a wonderful companion. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Frida thrives on routine and does wonderfully with structure. She’s housebroken when kept on a consistent schedule and walks nicely on leash, making daily strolls easy and enjoyable. At night, she sleeps quietly in the living room, content and settled. She gets along well with calm, respectful dogs who give her space, but she’s not suited for homes with high-energy or overly pushy pups. Because she prefers a predictable, low-stress environment, Frida is looking for an adult-only home or one with older teens (15+) who understand and respect a dog’s space. Frida will do best with a patient, experienced dog owner—she is not a good fit for first-time adopters. She needs someone who will give her time to build trust and allow her to move at her own pace. Once she feels safe, she will quietly blossom into a loyal and comforting companion. She doesn’t ask for much—just kindness, consistency, and a soft place to land.
