Story
Yandi’s story started with a rough patch, but this brave girl hasn’t let it dim her joyful spirit! She came into rescue with a broken pelvis, likely after being hit by a car — but thanks to great veterinary care and plenty of love, she’s healing beautifully and ready for her next adventure. Yandi has a playful, happy personality that shines through every wag of her tail. She loves playing with other dogs and would thrive in a home where she can run, play, and share her zest for life with canine friends. After everything she’s overcome, Yandi deserves a home that will cherish her as much as she’ll love them in return. If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient pup who’s full of love and ready to play, Yandi might just be the one for you! Story
Meet Oreo! I’m an adorable 6-year-old male Schnoodle weighing just 14 pounds — the perfect little gentleman. I’m incredibly sweet, gentle, and love being close to my people.as I am affectionate Little dog I’m great with children and other dogs, and I walk very nicely on a leash. I absolutely love going on nice strolls. I do have a condition called dry eye, so I’ll need daily drops to keep my eyes comfortable and healthy, but I’m a very good boy for them . I’m neutered, up to date on all my vaccinations, and ready to find a loving forever home. If you’re looking for a small, affectionate companion with a soft heart and an easygoing personality, I might be your perfect match. Story
Hi, I’m Zaza! I’m a 6–7-year-old Havanese weighing in at 16 pounds of sweetness and spunk. I was finally surrendered from a puppy mill where I didn’t get the care or love I needed, but I’ve been learning what a good life can feel like in my foster home. I might not look like a full Havanese right now—some of my hair is still growing back from the neglect—but my coat is making a comeback, and so is my sparkle. At first, I can be a little shy around new people or dogs, but once I feel safe, my silly side comes out! I love zooming around the yard, chasing toys, and curling up in my big, fluffy bed like a little queen. I’ve made a ton of progress building confidence, and every day I surprise my foster family with my playful energy and goofy personality. I do well with other dogs once I get to know them, and I’ve even gained courage from my foster sibling. I would be happiest in a forever home with a furry sibling to keep me company. I’m looking for a home where I can feel safe, loved and surrounded by other dogs who can help me feel even more at ease. If you have a soft spot for sweet, gentle pups who just need a little time to blossom, I just might be the perfect match for you. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Meet mylo and lucky! ( MUST be adopted together, no separation ) We rescued this babies that were for sale on last summer when they were only 2 weeks old. We planned to only foster , but ended up caring for them for the last year even though it was hard on us for our schedule- we were hesitant on finding a family that will guaranteed take them both. Now with our jobs picking up and becoming more demanding, they need a family with more flexibility, They are the sweetest babies, mylo has separation anxiety but shows his affection in cuddles and fetch. Lucky is a ball of joy and loves to run around the house when he has zoomies!! They are great with kids, get along with other dogs, and are not reactive. Mylo and lucky do have a territorial instinct though where they spot pee indoor sometimes when alone, we have been able to tackle that so we have used diapers. They are brothers and are attached, they deserve to spend their long dog life together!

Story
Patty is a 2-year-old Havanese mix with a playful spirit and a growing sense of confidence. She came to us with a very matted coat, so she’s sporting a short haircut for now—but once her soft curls grow back, she’ll be looking like a little superstar! Patty is settling into her foster home and learning new things every day. Her previous home loved her, but didn’t have much time for training, so she’s still working on some basics. She’s leash trained, nearly housebroken, and absolutely loves toys—especially stealing socks, so guard your laundry! She’d do best in a home with no kids, and we’re still getting to know how she feels about other dogs. We’ll continue to update as we learn more. Patty is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and will be spayed soon. With a little time and patience, she’s going to make a wonderful companion. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications! 2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better. 3.
