Story
Coco Puff Hello there! My name is Coco Puff, and I am a little female Havanese puppy. Since they don’t know who Dad is, they must call me a mix, but who knows for sure. I was born on 2.12.26, just before Valentines’ Day, but that is sad because I am a pure sweetheart and the day would have been perfect for a birthday! I am scheduled for my spay on April 13th and then will be able to go to my new home. Will it be with you? About my breed: Havanese puppies are small, affectionate, and intelligent "velcro dogs" known for their cheerful, trainable, and playful nature, making them ideal family companions or apartment pets. Originally from Cuba, these 7–13 lb dogs have long, hypoallergenic, and low-shedding coats. They require regular grooming and thrive on companionship, often experiencing separation anxiety if left alone too long. My adoption fee locally is $400 and out of state with transportation is $700.

Story
Hi! I’m Velour, but my foster mom calls me Clover. My foster mom says I’m small but mighty—and I think she’s right. I’m a 8-year-old cuddle expert with a shy, gentle, and affectionate soul. I feel safest when I’m close to my foster mom—wherever she goes, I go too. She’s my security blanket, and I truly thrive on companionship (especially if it includes cuddles and head scratches). I get along wonderfully with my four foster dog siblings and would do best in a home with another dog to keep me company and help build my confidence. I have some separation anxiety, so having a furry friend around really helps me feel calm and secure. I’m great with older, gentle children, but a home without young kids would be best for me so I can continue to blossom in a peaceful, loving environment. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a big heart, I just might be your girl. I promise to stay by your side and fill your days with quiet love and warm cuddles. Story
Kylo is a 5-year-old Black Havapoo, born November 5, 2020. He was purchased from Central Park Puppies and came home in January 2021. He is incredibly smart, food-motivated, and loves playing fetch. Kylo enjoys being outside and will happily walk in any weather. He does not like shoes but will wear a slip-on coat when heading outdoors. Kylo is independent and not overly cuddly, though he enjoys lying next to you while you relax. He thrives in a calm, predictable environment and does best with adults. A home without children is preferred, as he does not enjoy frequent petting. Kylo has anxiety and is on medication. Our current apartment, located in front of an elevator with frequent door noise and foot traffic, has been difficult for him. He would do best in a quiet house or first-floor apartment with minimal hallway noise. A backyard or open space to roam would be ideal. Kylo is a loving, loyal companion who will flourish in a peaceful home that understands his needs.

Story
Chewy was born about September 10, 2010 and weighs about 21 pounds. Please understand Google helped us with the breed choices, we are really guessing!!!  Chewy is good with other dogs and cats alike.  He has been around visiting children as young as 2.  He does fine on leash, but the last few years the owner has not been able to walk him and he has used potty floor pads in the home.  She felt that if he happened to get off leash that he would hang around his human.  He did ride beautifully in the car on the two hour trip here.  He is not a chewer and hasn't seemed to enjoy toys or maybe had not had access to any for some time.  He is not a lap hog but does love to sit nearby and enjoys his humans companionship.  Considering all the changes in a short amount of time he moved in here rather easily and should do so again when he finds another forever home.  He has had some vet care over the years.  He was overweight upon arrival but is now slim down beautifully.  Also, upon arrival he was a drastic mess of mats and had to be shaved down and his teeth were a bit much with 6 having to be pulled.  Please know that with the lack of dental care for so long another dental may be needed sooner rather than later.  Chewy does have some normal old dog cloudiness in his eyes and his hearing is diminished some but he can both hear and see, This cutie is ready for a new start in life! We received a plea from a social worker in a city a couple hours away that an elderly lady had been released from the hospital a couple of days ago and went home to her two dogs who had been shut in the bathroom of her mobile home for a month when she had emergency surgery and a neighbor stopped by to give food and water.  Yes, there were relatives not far away, but as we see day in, day out, family disappoints when it comes to an elderly human's pets.  The social worker explained the lady needed to go into assisted care but she refused until her dogs were in a safe place.  Truly, we are proud of her for that devotion and so are Gabe and Chewy.  The two dogs have always been together but are not terribly bonded.  Still we will be looking for a home where there is another dog companion or a human who is home much of the time.  The lady was very grateful when we arrived to escort the dogs to Cuba and the social worker was there at the same time to escort the lady in a care facility.  No one would call this a happy ending but everyone involved did the very best they could in a tough situation.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $__300.00______. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html. Story
Born on June 27,2020, Luckii Marshall was purchased from Citi Pups on August 30, 2020. He is a mixed breed Havapoo. He loves to play and would do great in a house with people who can spend a lot of time with him. He is house trained and kennel trained. He likes his independence so if you cannot find him he is more than likely cuddled up on a bean bag chair or something similar. Loves walks and lots of cuddles.
