Story
Meet Rhonda!... a 3-year-old Havanese with a heart as sweet as can be. Though she is blind, she can still see bright lights, and it doesn’t slow her down! She’s fearless, confident, and navigates her surroundings incredibly well. Rhonda did wonderfully with her foster mom's dogs and absolutely adores people. She rides calmly in the car, appears to be housetrained, and sleeps soundly through the night on her foster’s bed without moving around or falling off. This little girl has truly not a mean bone in her body. She’s gentle, loving, adaptable, and ready to bring joy to a lucky forever family. Be sure to complete an application on line and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30 If you are interested in this dog, please submit an application directly to our website at www.ny-petrescue.org. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered.

Story
Roscoe is an adorable schnoodle Havanese pup. He is 5 month old and weighs 10 lbs. we saved Roscoe from being used for breeding purposes down south.  He loves other dogs and is very sweet but also a little shy.  So he would do best in a home with another friendly dog to show him the ropes. His adoption fee is $675 which includes age appropriate vaccines, simparico, neuter and microchip. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing.

Story
DOB 12-12-2024 This sweet tiny little Poodle mix did not have a good start so she is looking for a loving Mom that needs her too! Georgie is social but shy, very sweet and loves to play with other little dogs like herself. Georgie has been spayed, she is Heartworm negative and received a ProHeart6 preventative injection. She is up to date on shots and dental work and weighs about 6 pounds. Her adoption fee is 850..00 and her transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC. they are a wonderful transport delivering pets to the East Coast every other weekend The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
