Story
MEET  KAYA! Kaya is a 2-year-old Husky mix who’s just beginning to discover how good life can be. After spending her early years isolated in a backyard with minimal interaction, she’s blossomed into a playful, curious, and affectionate companion who’s ready for adventure. Kaya loves walks and is always up for tagging along on a hike or outing. She’s goofy and full of personality — the kind of dog who will make you smile every day. While she’s still learning how to interact with other dogs, she may do well with a calm, well-socialized dog of similar size. However, she should not live with cats. She’s house trained, spayed, and knows some basic commands. Kaya is still gaining confidence with new people and situations, so she’ll do best in a home that offers structure, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement. Kaya Would Thrive In a Home With: • An active lifestyle and lots of outdoor time • A secure, fenced yard (6 ft required) • No cats, and only one other calm dog (if any) • A confident, experienced adopter who can guide her continued progress • A calm environment to help her continue building trust Kaya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find her people. Story
Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact Delaney, 480-319-1725, delkellysmith@outlook.com:   MEET GRANDPA!! Grandpa is a previous rescue and has come a long way since being adopted. He has had rigorous training and responds well to learning commands. He already knows, sit, down, place (get in kennel), go to bed (in kennel), come, go, wait, leave it, and heel (walk on left side while you walk). He is still capable of learning more. He is not destructive when left alone. He is triggered by the doorbell and spends a good portion of his day sleeping by the door. Once the weather is nice, he wants to be outside as much as possible. In the evenings, he will play with his ball. He is a great companion with very little day to day needs. Grandpa was attacked before he was adopted and is very reactive. He does need to be the only pet in the home. He gets along with most humans, but he is very sensitive to the energy of those around him. He is fine with children, but he can take on a protective role to visitors while around the children. Grandpa is a wonderful dog, and would thrive in a slow paced home where he can lay out in the sun outside. He loves his belly rubbed and wants some pets when you are home, but he is otherwise a very independent dog and loves to just observe the world around him. He is currently taking glucosamine supplements, but a healthy dog. Grandpa is a wonderful dog that needs some extra understanding for his previous background. Meet Grandpa today! Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact Leslie, 480-955-1389, leslievictoria101@gmail.com:   MEET SUKI #4!! Suki is truly one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet! Everyone who meets her instantly falls in love! She greets everyone enthusiastically with kisses and affection as if she has known them forever. She is a high-energy, playful girl who loves to be the center of attention. Suki enjoys running, playing fetch, digging, and staying active. She thrives when she has regular exercise and mental stimulation. When she was younger, she could be a mischievous. However, she hasn't displayed those behaviors in over three years. With consistent structure and boundaries, she learned quickly what was off-limits. Like many Huskies, Suki can be vocal, especially when she wants attention. Giving her sturdy toys or long-lasting bones keeps her content and occupied. Suki is crate trained and sleeps and eats there. She views it as her safe space. In new situations, she can be a little shy, so her crate provides comfort and security. Suki has a big personality and the energy of two dogs! She gets along with cats and male dogs. However, she was attacked by female dogs in the past due to her high energy and lack of boundary awareness. Her intentions are always good. She is just a friendly, spunky dog who wants to play! Suki MUST stick to a strict diet of dog food, dog treats and chews (like bones or pig ears). Human foods upset her stomach, and she has a sensitivity to salmon which should be avoided in her diet. Suki is an intelligent, affectionate, and lively companion who loves people and brings joy everywhere she goes. She would love an active home with structure and love. She will be the amazing, loyal friend you need. Meet Suki today!
