Story
** ARIZONA ONLY ** Maizy was found by a very nice lady through NextDoor. Maizy was a one-year old Chihuahua rescue who someone needed to re-home. Emaciated and unsure but with a spark of hope in her eyes, Maizy stood in the yard ready to meet her new owner who was immediately in love. Though the cute little pup didn’t resemble a Chihuahua, she was small, weighing 11 lbs at just a year old. However, when Maizy’s new mama took her to the vet, he said she was not a Chihuahua and was a very young pup who would likely grow to be 30 pounds. Within one month, Maizy gained 9 pounds. She is now “really” a year old and weighs 36 pounds. She may have just a wee bit of filling out to do but will probably stay near her current and perfect medium size. Maizy has worked with a dog trainer; she did well and knows basic commands. A DNA test was done and it turns out Maizy is primarily Siberian Husky, as well as several other herding breeds! While not at all the dog this upper-middle-young-aged lady wanted to adopt, she loved Maizy and was going to try to make it work in spite of having a small patio-sized yard that would be perfect for a Chihuahua 😊 Recently, Mama took Maizy for a walk, tripped on the leash, and now requires wrist surgery. With this, and the realization that Maizy needs exercise and activity and a yard where she can run and enjoy some outdoor time, her mama is reluctantly seeking a new home for Maizy. This beautiful young and healthy girl is funny, energetic, playful, and very smart. She can be just a little bit shy initially but learns to trust and is happy to be part of the family. She would do well in a home with an active person or family who has time for her, and would also do well with another dog. Maizy is fully vetted – spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. We can set up a meet & greet upon approved application. Please email to request one.

Story
Kyro is a pure bred Siberian Husky. He will be 5 years old on June 4th 2024. He is extremely friendly and lovable. He loves attention. He can be very hyper around other people and dogs but never in a mean or aggressive type way. He just wants to play and wants attention. He really is a good dog but with my work schedule I just am not able to be home enough for him. Also, his shedding is really been a bother for my allergies. He gets along well with other dogs. I’ve never have had any issues with him be mean or aggressive with other dogs. Would love to find a good home for Kyro. Some one or a great family that has time for a dog and also understands how to own a husky and understands their personality and characteristics.

Story
Hello, My name is Lorraine and I am trying to help a sweet dog name Little and hoping for a happy ending for him. Poor dog has no idea that he is losing his family soon. Here is his story: This is Little, who will be 8 years old in June. His owner is going to surrender him to MCACC as she can no longer take care of him anymore. Why you ask? She has two children, a new baby and a husband who wants Little gone because kids are highly allergic to Little. Please try not to judge.... I contacted owner immediately when I saw her post as I want to help so this dog so he doesn't end up at county, where surrenders are getting euthanized quickly these days! Little deserves better!!! Here is the info on Little: Male Husky mix about 35/40 pounds Little gets along well with other dogs and good with cats too! Active dog who loves everyone, except for small children as they make him nervous. He is fine with older children. Kennel trained - used to staying in kennel Loves people
