Meet Rocky! He is one half of a bonded pair, with his sister Loba. I adopted them both from Skagit County Humane Society in October with the hopes of just getting them out of the shelter and fostering them. I decided a few weeks in to keep them, and now my situation has changed greatly and I am no longer able to be guardian of these two sweet pups.Rocky is eight years old and Loba is six. They have been together all their life and should stay together. They are a bonded pair. Rocky is very aloof, friendly and affectionate. Loba is more reserved, cuddly and shy. Both have a bit of prey drive for small critters, but Rocky loves cats and other dogs. Loba is best under controlled situations as she does get excited around other animals. Both love car rides, snuggles, hiking and camping, lounging around. They probably sleep 18 hours a day and are just goofballs the rest.I do not have them up-to-date on shots, but they are both extremely healthy and in great shape.

Must stay together.Loba is an extremely sweet and affectionate girl who can be quite shy and isn’t very fond of most men. She takes some getting used to strangers before she will let them pet her, but typically loves any female right away. Loba is very active, but also very lazy at the same time. She sleeps 18 hours a day, but is always down for an adventure.Loba has heterochromia, so one blue eye and one brown. She does have a slight prey drive for small animals, so does not do well with cats. She does not respond well to discipline and must be treated with positive reinforcement. She absolutely loves car rides, hiking, camping and laying around the house with her legs up in the air.Rocky and Loba will preferably will go to a home with property. I originally adopted both from the Skagit Humane Society with plans to foster them last October. They have been such wonderful companions!

Leo is a four year old husky/border collie mix from Vancouver Washington. His birthday is 4/28/22. Leo is a very playful, outgoing, and sweet dog. I have had him for over two years and we have done just about everything by together. Not a big fan of the car, but as soon as a destination is reached, he’s ready to go. He is extremely play motivated and listens well off leash while engaged with play. Otherwise leashed to keep him under the best control. He has successfully played and met dogs, however, can be temperamental. Introductions work good, but can be territorial over toys/ treats specifically w/ other dogs. Has zero food aggression towards humans and will beg very politely. Attempted kennel training and he will escape at all costs. He’s super trustworthy to be alone in a house for quite a while, just maybe keep the blinds up or he will break them in order to see outside. Fully house trained and I have had to clean up minimal accidents from him. Overall, a solid loving companion.

We adopted her from a shelter in skadget about 7 years ago. She'll be 8 this year. She's very friendly. She is house trained, but also likes to be with someone if outside. She is good with other dogs we have two other smaller dogs and she plays nice with them. She's never really been around cats. She eats, once a day and weighs 67lbs. She's very loving. And very intelligent. She sleeps in a big crate in the house at night. She likes to go on walks on the leash, and she loves being brushed or any kind of attention. Probably the most loving, smart, and gentle dog I've ever hadAnd she loves to run if you have a big backyard.I have two other smaller dogs too and just recently have had a lot more responsibilities added to my schedule besides caring for an elderly person, many doctor appointments and bills etc. So when I leave the house she's cooped up too much.It's just not fair to Akia to not have all the attention she needs and deserves. So I'm trying to find her a good home.

Meet Sai! Sai is looking for a foster home or, even better, his forever family! This handsome boy is about 3 years old, weighs approximately 65 pounds, and is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Sai is a big, goofy, affectionate dog who absolutely adores his people. He loves being close to his family, soaking up attention, and showing off his playful personality. Beneath that silly exterior is a loyal companion who forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. To help Sai thrive, we're looking for a home that can meet his specific needs: Sai would do best as an only pet, or potentially with a similar-sized dog after a slow, thoughtful introduction. He has a high prey drive and is not a good fit for homes with small animals. A secure, fully fenced yard is important, as he can be reactive along fences and needs a safe space to exercise and decompress. He can become overwhelmed in loud or chaotic environments and will do best in a calm, structured home. Due to his strong herding instincts, he may try to herd running children by nipping at their heels. A home with older, dog-savvy children would be the best fit. Sai will need an adopter who is committed to providing structure, exercise, ongoing training, and an understanding of his behavioral needs. Despite these challenges, Sai is incredibly loving, loyal, and full of personality. With the right person or family, he has so much companionship, joy, and unconditional love to offer. Who doesn’t love a fun, loving, full of life Husky that instantly puts a smile on your face because he just seems so happy all the time?! Well, say hello to Sid Smitty Truly the dog version of a human exclamation point. He has this contagious, feel-good energy about him that makes being around him so much fun. From what we’ve seen so far, Sid Smitty genuinely seems happiest when he’s included in whatever is going on. Hanging out with people? Amazing. Playing with dog friends? Best day ever. Getting attention and affection? Absolutely yes. He’s been incredibly sweet with everyone he’s met and has this way of melting right into you for love like he’s known you forever. What makes him extra special though is that he really seems to have the best of both worlds personality-wise. He can be playful, goofy, and full of silly Husky fun one minute, then perfectly content cuddling up beside you soaking in affection the next. He’s also done great around kids and overall just gives off that “life is more fun when this dog is around” kind of vibe. Which seems like a big number on paper and when you’re reading it. He is a big dog but he’s more legs, height and fluff than he is poundage. And as if Sid wasn’t already unique enough, this boy has one random little black spot right in the middle of his tail like someone accidentally booped him with a paintbrush and decided, “yep, perfect, leave it.” It’s such a silly little detail but somehow makes him even cuter and gives him so much character. Like his tail needed its own beauty mark or something LOL. If you watched his video then you saw his interactions around a 2 year old. Sid was honestly SO sweet with her and seemed genuinely happy just being included in all the little moments and chaos. Right away he was confidently going up to her while she was swinging a cat toy around everywhere, following her around curiously, and just happily existing in the middle of all the action. He wasn’t bothered by whining, crying noises, or unpredictable toddler energy at all. And despite being a goofy Husky boy with basically zero spatial awareness LOL, he was naturally very gentle with her. One of the sweetest moments was when they were both up on the couch together and Sid completely melted into her, like fully laid on her like a giant fluffy weighted blanket just soaking up the cuddles. It was one of those moments where everyone in the room was like “okay wait… this is ridiculously cute.” Based off what we’ve seen, he really seems to have a lot of potential to make a super fun, affectionate family dog in the right home. With other dogs, Sid has done great with all of the dogs we have introduced him to. He has been with dogs ranging in sizes (some as small as 8lbs) and personalities. From what we have seen, Sid gravitates towards playful dogs like himself the most. And when he does find a playmate, he truly shines. Consistent of games of chase, wrestling matches, and if you know shepherds, then you know they like to throw paws and love mouthy type play. In a home, he would do great with a fun, happy, confident female that likes to play, enjoys rowdy play and also a dog that appreciates the calmer hangout moments too. If you don’t have other dogs that’s fine too. We believe Sid could be just as happy being the center of your attention. Sid also met our house cat Biggie and appeared to be just as friendly with him as he is with dogs. Almost as if Biggie was another pal to play with. Biggie is very dog savvy and is comfortable around dogs and will even play with dogs he is comfortable with. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Yes, Sid can be a super fun, active, adventurous guy but he also has a calm side as well. He has had no problem making himself feel right at home and will lay right on top of you if you let him. Who doesn't love GSD snuggles?! He seems to already have some level of understanding that play time is an outside luxury and has good house manners. Though, he has shown that he is comfortable with couch cuddles and may attempt to sneak a snack or too off tables LOL. He hasn’t done it yet, but with his love for food and the advantage of being on the taller side. A small plate of your leftovers might be really tempting for him. Sid has enjoyed playing with toys, in particular rope toys and toys that he can play tug with. He also likes to play with balls too! In all honesty, we believe he would like playing with any kind of toy if that means you’re engaging in the play too. From what we have seen, Sid isn’t play play play 24/7. A little fun outdoors with his doggy friends or backyard play sessions with people, Sid will be prepped and ready for snuggles. Not feeling snuggly? That’s fine. He has been really good about finding a cozy spot on the floor and settling in with his favorite toy and is perfectly content doing his own thing.
