If you love camping, hiking, lake days and park hangs, you’re already living the Loki lifestyle! Loki is a gorgeous Husky mix, estimated to be 3 years old and currently weighing in around 61 pounds. He is of course a rescue, so these are only our best guesses. From His show stopping eyes and the fluffiest tail you have ever seen, he is just as handsome as they come. He’s got stamina, and he’s a ton of fun, but he’s not your typical over-the-top high energy Husky, he’s more of a medium energy guy. He loves laying with his belly up on the couch, and you can often find him like this after a long day. A guy like Loki deserves the comfiest spot on the couch of course! Loki is an adventure dog to his core. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, and very tolerant. He’s amazing on leash and knows how to walk on a regular leash or with head collar/gentle leader. He’s awesome in the car and lays down in the back of his foster family’s SUV. With his foster family, he regularly walks three to five miles in a day and adores his outside time. They take him camping and swimming, and he enjoys every second of it. Loki has that chill cool nonchalant guy vibe. Just always up for anything and ready to have a good time. But let’s face it, wherever he goes, there’s gonna be a good time! He’s exceptionally confident in everything he does, and ready for a lifetime of adventure with you. She says he’s incredibly smart and receptive to training. He knows “heel,” “sit,” and “slow,” and to the benefit of outdoor adventurists everywhere, he knows “wait.” She says this command will stop him in his tracks, reliably. This command is crucial for new hikes with tight corners, hill crests or new flora and fauna! While Loki can be vocal, his foster mom says it’s not your typical continual husky vocalizations, it’s never too much for her family or neighbors to handle! Loki is a canine socialite if we’ve ever seen one. This guy is a pro with every dog he meets, he can play hard or just coexist and does a great job knowing when the time is right for either. He regularly goes to dog parks with his foster family, and enjoys doggy daycare from time to time. When we met Loki, we had a chance to see him greet three new dogs, and he was perfect with everyone. An opinionated Husky boy named Daffy enjoyed zooming with him. Our confident female Kelpie mix was greeted politely by him, and they lightly played chase. He simply coexisted with our smaller Bully mix Willow. Loki is also fostered with a sometimes-playful female Shepherd mix, the two are the best of friends. We think a medium energy female like her would be a great doggy sibling match for him in a forever home. Loki is a superstar in so many ways. He shares toys and treats with other dogs with ease. He loves to play the first half of fetch- the chasing the ball bit- but he hasn’t mastered the “bringing it back,” portion quite yet. He’s used to the active lifestyle and does well in all public settings, from patio restaurants to wildflower fields on the side of the highway. If you’ve been daydreaming of an adventure filled life with your newly adopted pup- know that most will need lots of time to learn, but Loki is already ready to go. Loki has his backpack ready and his Nalgene filled, he’s ready to come home with you! We think he would be happiest somewhere where he can stretch his legs, in a house with lots of room to roam and keep busy. He’s an active guy, so an active family would be best for him. Are you ready to meet your loyal fluffy furever best friend? Well let me introduce you to Skye! With rescue, it’s always a guess but we think Skye is a Siberian Husky. Just look at her! We believe she is about 4 years young, and she weighs in at 45 pounds. She is a medium sized girl with a stunning coat that will stop you in your tracks. We could stare at those pretty icy blue eyes all day long! Skye loves posing for the camera, she’s a part time model! Skye is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She is bouncy, playful, and friendly. In normal husky fashion, she loves to get her zoomies! But Skye also loves to relax, snuggling up with her human toddler bestie that she’s fostered with. He uses her as his pillow when they are watching his favorite shows on the couch. Safe to say, we know Skye loves kiddos! She really enjoys hanging out with him while he plays in his toy kitchen. She already knows how to sit, so we don’t think she is far off from learning other tricks and skills! Rory is one of those dogs who just blossoms when she knows she’s safe and loved. From the moment her foster got her home she knew she was going to going to get to see her in full bloom and she absolutely has. Although I spent a few hours with Rory, enjoyed her company and got to know her more, most all of what is shared here is from her devoted foster. With a front row seat she has the best view. She’ll let you know when she needs to go out, usually by whining and giving you that classic “let me out, please!” look. She’s a big fan of toys and loves playing fetch, though she might not always bring it back to you, its kind of her way of taking a break. She’s definitely part couch potato too – or in her case chair potato. Her favorite place to curl up is on the armchair, where she goes from happily watching TV with you to full on snoring. You’ll still be able to hear the tv though, they are just quiet little snores. Rory is estimated to be 5 years old, weighs 57 lbs, and may be a husky/lab mix. Of course, she is a rescue so age and breed are not details we can guarantee. Rory’s foster praises her for being friendly with people and great with kids. She shared that her two- and three-year-old niece and nephew adored her, and she was always so gentle and patient with them. On top of a variety of dogs, Rory met a two-month-old puppy during a recent visit at a family friends house and had fun playing and was so sweet on him. She lives with dogs and has met all sorts of dogs, big, small, young to old. She can be a bit shy during on-leash greetings but is polite and if she is not feeling comfortable she will simply keep on walking. Rory is definitely more of a dog-companion than a dog-playmate with her best match being easy-going dogs that don’t feel the need to push or insist she play. She doesn’t mind gently letting them know in her own doggy way that she isn’t interested and then moves on. Rory has basic leash skills and continues to learn in new environments. She recently got to tag-along for a pet-store run and was very polite but a little unsure of walking next to the cart but settled in after just a few minutes. Clearly she is a smart cookie and picks things up quickly. Her foster has praised her crate manners, calling her a rock star! She is quiet and settles into sleep easily. She also knows basic commands including “sit”and “lay down.” She also learns quickly and takes correction well. We would love to see Rory in a home with a yard, adding a family with kids to that scene would be the true dream. Rory does not need another dog in the home, her people and a few toys will fill her bucket each and every day. The only no we would encourage is no cats. Her foster has cats and will attest to her attempts to get a good game of chase in when she first met them. They are kept separate now after one curious moment turned into a little too much excitement, so a cat-free home is best. Overall, Rory is a loving, fun, and smart pup who’s just waiting to be part of your family. She’s come so far in such a short time and is ready to keep learning and loving with you by her side. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect mix of heartthrob charm and goofy best friend energy, allow us to introduce John Travolta! Yes, that’s really his name, and yes, he lives up to it! With striking husky features, a friendly personality, and an irresistible love of cuddles, John is the kind of pup who will keep you smiling from sunrise to movie-night snuggles on the couch. We believe John is a husky mix of some sort around 5 months old and weighs approximately 30 pounds. He has massive paws and is definitely going to be a decent sized boy when full grown. He has the softest fur with beautiful notes of chocolate throughout his coat. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. He’s naturally confident and walks beautifully on leash for his age, barely needing corrections. When meeting new people, he greets them like they have been friends forever, wagging his tail and leaning right into them for affection! His signature move is gently crawling into your lap if you crouch down. He was incredibly tolerant and calm during his visit with us, showing off his sweet, gentle spirit with every new interaction! John lives with other dogs in his foster home and enjoys the company. He can be playful, especially with adult dogs who match his vibe. While he can hang with high-energy pups, he prefers a friend who won’t pester him non-stop. A respectful medium energy playmate who can chase and wrestle a little, then relax and lounge with him afterward is his cup of tea. He’s a great communicator and knows how to give polite corrections when needed. He’s also shown promise around cats! When he met our house cat Biggie, he gave him kisses and showed interest in play! But being a pup, he’d do best with a dog in the home to balance his energy if there are cats around too. This handsome boy has been a hit during outings to the park, where he interacts beautifully with children and strangers alike. While he doesn’t currently live with kids, his temperament suggests he could do well with them, and we’re happy to test him with any age group if you’d like to know more! Because of his breed and puppy enthusiasm, John would thrive in a home with a yard and people who are active enough to help him grow into the amazing adult dog he’s meant to be! Calling all rescue Husky lovers! Russell is everything that’s awesome about Huskies and he’s looking for his forever family. Russell is full of personality, vocal and goofy, he has great house manners and he’s so intelligent! He’s dog friendly, kid friendly, and such a good boy. We believe that Russell is a Husky mix of some sort, but he is a rescue, so this is just our best guess! Russell is estimated to be around 2 years old, and he currently weighs in at 59 pounds. Kids are no exception to Russell’s people-loving disposition, he’s gentle, sweet and tolerant with little ones. Russell has spent time with kids as young as three years old, and we think he would do great as a family dog. Russell is so full of personality and hilarity. He’s very charming and so easy to love! He’s vocal and can carry a conversation with just about anyone. He’s highly intelligent too- very trainable! Another brag about Russell- he has AMAZING house manners. We all know Salt makes everything better and this boy is no exception to that. Salt is the perfect blend of bouncy, melty, loving hilarity. I spent the afternoon with him and honestly giggled and awwww’d the whole time. Some dogs bring goofy and that is so fun, some bring so much heart-wide-open love. Very few bring the perfect balance of both and Salt is one of those rare ones. On top of everything he is so stinking adorable. Dark eyes, floppy ears, a fluffy, curly tail… my goodness he is a cutie! He is simply, the kind of dog that keeps you laughing with his silly self, then melts at your feet like a marshmallow. At just around a year old (estimated because he is a rescue) and weighing 52 lbs,, which we believe is his full-grown size. At this age he is still in-training to be a grown-up pup. We can’t guarantee age or breed but we suspect he is a shepherd/ husky mix. He’s fostered in a home with a full dog pack, and he has an especially cute relationship with the littlest pup in the crew. Watching him play is like seeing a kid at recess — goofy, silly faces, funny noises all while forgetting everyone else. Stand still for a minute, better yet- sit down, and he will be there gently leaning his whole self into your legs. I don’t know what it is but that move always feels like the sweetest version of a hug from a dog. If you return that love with a belly-rub you have sent him right to heaven. Salt is pretty perfect but he is still growing so he has a few areas where he is a work-in-progress. For example, his leash manners are still coming along. He has the basics down but lets his excitement for walks show when he first hits the pavement. A gentle reminder is about all he needs to reconnect. Once you’re in a rhythm though, he listens and is ready to move. A home with a yard will be an important element for Salt, he needs space to move, plus with a little husky in him chances are he will be a singing and howling boy so apartment life is just not the right fit. He could thrive with a medium-energy female dog who’s down to play and patient with his big feelings. Cats? Not his thing. He’s a little too excited and chase-prone for the feline crowd. But people? Salt is all in. He’s been great with kids at events (he is a bit of a regular at a local brewery) always happy, wiggly, and gentle with the little ones who come up to say hi or run by playing chase. We can easily picture him as a fun family dog with kids over 5 who can handle his bounce. Sprinkle Salt into your life to add more love, fun, and loyalty. If you love camping, hiking, lake days and park hangs, you’re already living the Loki lifestyle! Loki is a gorgeous Husky mix, estimated to be 3 years old and currently weighing in around 61 pounds. He is of course a rescue, so these are only our best guesses. From His show stopping eyes and the fluffiest tail you have ever seen, he is just as handsome as they come. He’s got stamina, and he’s a ton of fun, but he’s not your typical over-the-top high energy Husky, he’s more of a medium energy guy. He loves laying with his belly up on the couch, and you can often find him like this after a long day. A guy like Loki deserves the comfiest spot on the couch of course! Loki is an adventure dog to his core. He’s friendly with everyone he meets, and very tolerant. He’s amazing on leash and knows how to walk on a regular leash or with head collar/gentle leader. He’s awesome in the car and lays down in the back of his foster family’s SUV. With his foster family, he regularly walks three to five miles in a day and adores his outside time. They take him camping and swimming, and he enjoys every second of it. Loki has that chill cool nonchalant guy vibe. Just always up for anything and ready to have a good time. But let’s face it, wherever he goes, there’s gonna be a good time! He’s exceptionally confident in everything he does, and ready for a lifetime of adventure with you. She says he’s incredibly smart and receptive to training. He knows “heel,” “sit,” and “slow,” and to the benefit of outdoor adventurists everywhere, he knows “wait.” She says this command will stop him in his tracks, reliably. This command is crucial for new hikes with tight corners, hill crests or new flora and fauna! While Loki can be vocal, his foster mom says it’s not your typical continual husky vocalizations, it’s never too much for her family or neighbors to handle! Loki is a canine socialite if we’ve ever seen one. This guy is a pro with every dog he meets, he can play hard or just coexist and does a great job knowing when the time is right for either. He regularly goes to dog parks with his foster family, and enjoys doggy daycare from time to time. When we met Loki, we had a chance to see him greet three new dogs, and he was perfect with everyone. An opinionated Husky boy named Daffy enjoyed zooming with him. Our confident female Kelpie mix was greeted politely by him, and they lightly played chase. He simply coexisted with our smaller Bully mix Willow. Loki is also fostered with a sometimes-playful female Shepherd mix, the two are the best of friends. We think a medium energy female like her would be a great doggy sibling match for him in a forever home. Loki is a superstar in so many ways. He shares toys and treats with other dogs with ease. He loves to play the first half of fetch- the chasing the ball bit- but he hasn’t mastered the “bringing it back,” portion quite yet. He’s used to the active lifestyle and does well in all public settings, from patio restaurants to wildflower fields on the side of the highway. If you’ve been daydreaming of an adventure filled life with your newly adopted pup- know that most will need lots of time to learn, but Loki is already ready to go. Loki has his backpack ready and his Nalgene filled, he’s ready to come home with you! We think he would be happiest somewhere where he can stretch his legs, in a house with lots of room to roam and keep busy. He’s an active guy, so an active family would be best for him. While we haven’t seen him with kids just yet, we suspect this guy will be a great family dog. At this time, we don’t recommend him for a home with kitties. Are you ready to meet your loyal fluffy furever best friend? Well let me introduce you to Skye! With rescue, it’s always a guess but we think Skye is a Siberian Husky. Just look at her! We believe she is about 4 years young, and she weighs in at 45 pounds. She is a medium sized girl with a stunning coat that will stop you in your tracks. We could stare at those pretty icy blue eyes all day long! Skye loves posing for the camera, she’s a part time model! Skye is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She is bouncy, playful, and friendly. In normal husky fashion, she loves to get her zoomies! But Skye also loves to relax, snuggling up with her human toddler bestie that she’s fostered with. He uses her as his pillow when they are watching his favorite shows on the couch. Safe to say, we know Skye loves kiddos! She really enjoys hanging out with him while he plays in his toy kitchen. Rory is one of those dogs who just blossoms when she knows she’s safe and loved. From the moment her foster got her home she knew she was going to going to get to see her in full bloom and she absolutely has. Although I spent a few hours with Rory, enjoyed her company and got to know her more, most all of what is shared here is from her devoted foster. With a front row seat she has the best view. She’ll let you know when she needs to go out, usually by whining and giving you that classic “let me out, please!” look. She’s a big fan of toys and loves playing fetch, though she might not always bring it back to you, its kind of her way of taking a break. She’s definitely part couch potato too – or in her case chair potato. Her favorite place to curl up is on the armchair, where she goes from happily watching TV with you to full on snoring. You’ll still be able to hear the tv though, they are just quiet little snores. Rory is estimated to be 5 years old, weighs 57 lbs, and may be a husky/lab mix. Of course, she is a rescue so age and breed are not details we can guarantee. Rory’s foster praises her for being friendly with people and great with kids. She shared that her two- and three-year-old niece and nephew adored her, and she was always so gentle and patient with them. On top of a variety of dogs, Rory met a two-month-old puppy during a recent visit at a family friends house and had fun playing and was so sweet on him. She lives with dogs and has met all sorts of dogs, big, small, young to old. She can be a bit shy during on-leash greetings but is polite and if she is not feeling comfortable she will simply keep on walking. Rory is definitely more of a dog-companion than a dog-playmate with her best match being easy-going dogs that don’t feel the need to push or insist she play. She doesn’t mind gently letting them know in her own doggy way that she isn’t interested and then moves on. Rory has basic leash skills and continues to learn in new environments. She recently got to tag-along for a pet-store run and was very polite but a little unsure of walking next to the cart but settled in after just a few minutes. Clearly she is a smart cookie and picks things up quickly. Her foster has praised her crate manners, calling her a rock star! She is quiet and settles into sleep easily. She also knows basic commands including “sit”and “lay down.” She also learns quickly and takes correction well. We would love to see Rory in a home with a yard, adding a family with kids to that scene would be the true dream. Rory does not need another dog in the home, her people and a few toys will fill her bucket each and every day. The only no we would encourage is no cats. Her foster has cats and will attest to her attempts to get a good game of chase in when she first met them. They are kept separate now after one curious moment turned into a little too much excitement, so a cat-free home is best. Overall, Rory is a loving, fun, and smart pup who’s just waiting to be part of your family. She’s come so far in such a short time and is ready to keep learning and loving with you by her side. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect mix of heartthrob charm and goofy best friend energy, allow us to introduce John Travolta! Yes, that’s really his name, and yes, he lives up to it! With striking husky features, a friendly personality, and an irresistible love of cuddles, John is the kind of pup who will keep you smiling from sunrise to movie-night snuggles on the couch. We believe John is a husky mix of some sort around 5 months old and weighs approximately 30 pounds. He has massive paws and is definitely going to be a decent sized boy when full grown. He has the softest fur with beautiful notes of chocolate throughout his coat. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. He’s naturally confident and walks beautifully on leash for his age, barely needing corrections. His signature move is gently crawling into your lap if you crouch down. He was incredibly tolerant and calm during his visit with us, showing off his sweet, gentle spirit with every new interaction! John lives with other dogs in his foster home and enjoys the company. He can be playful, especially with adult dogs who match his vibe. While he can hang with high-energy pups, he prefers a friend who won’t pester him non-stop. A respectful medium energy playmate who can chase and wrestle a little, then relax and lounge with him afterward is his cup of tea. He’s a great communicator and knows how to give polite corrections when needed. He’s also shown promise around cats! When he met our house cat Biggie, he gave him kisses and showed interest in play! But being a pup, he’d do best with a dog in the home to balance his energy if there are cats around too. This handsome boy has been a hit during outings to the park, where he interacts beautifully with children and strangers alike. While he doesn’t currently live with kids, his temperament suggests he could do well with them, and we’re happy to test him with any age group if you’d like to know more! Calling all rescue Husky lovers! Russell is everything that’s awesome about Huskies and he’s looking for his forever family. Russell is full of personality, vocal and goofy, he has great house manners and he’s so intelligent! He’s dog friendly, kid friendly, and such a good boy. We believe that Russell is a Husky mix of some sort, but he is a rescue, so this is just our best guess! Russell is estimated to be around 2 years old, and he currently weighs in at 59 pounds. We think he would do best in a home with a moderately playful dog to keep him company. With people, Russell is adorable, affectionate and sweet. He rubs his head on your legs for pets, and in a group setting he will bounce around asking for pets from each person in the room. Kids are no exception to Russell’s people-loving disposition, he’s gentle, sweet and tolerant with little ones. Russell has spent time with kids as young as three years old, and we think he would do great as a family dog. Russell is so full of personality and hilarity. He’s very charming and so easy to love! Madame Cleo has read the cards — and your future includes one very dignified, independent husky. Cleo is a beautiful husky mix with the kind of self-assured presence that makes you feel like she knows something you don’t. And honestly? She probably does. With her confident nature and quietly curious eyes, Cleo has a touch of mystery about her — the type of dog who is confident, poised, and more of a “hang nearby” than “glued to your side” kind of girl — and we respect that. She’s currently in a foster home with a yard, mastering her house manners and enjoying the day-to-day while she waits for her adoption date! Cleo is estimated to be 2 years old, is a Husky mix and weighs a petite 46 lbs. Keep in mind that because she is a rescue, we cannot guarantee age or breed. Her foster currently enjoys walks with Cleo on a harness, with occasional leash walks to keep her versatile. Her foster shared that she is house trained and has not had an accidents since she has been in the home. We love that! Huskies are known for being opinionated , and Cleo is no exception, Because she can be a little vocal (classic husky), apartment life isn’t the best fit — but a home with a yard, a comfy crate, and a human who respects her independent personality is her dream! With other dogs, Cleo is confident and cool. She doesn’t need playmates, and she certainly doesn’t need a dog following her around. If there’s another dog in the home, a chill, low-energy male who minds his own business would be just fine. But truly, Cleo doesn’t require canine company to be content. She would be perfectly happy as a single lady than part of a pack. We introduced Cleo to our house cat and she did well! Her foster then shared that she has an indoor/outdoor cat that Cleo lives with peacefully. Another sign she’s in tune with her surroundings and knows when to keep things chill, so dog-savvy cats are welcome with Cleo. If your idea of the perfect companion is a quiet, independent dog who’s not going to shadow your every move but will still check in with you during sunset yard hangs, Cleo is your girl. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. these sweet bois (jake and colby) were found as part of a animal hoarding situation by our friends at skagit humane. they were then in the shelter a little before before being put into a foster homes with us. in foster they are living with adults, and other dogs while they work on their confidence. they have not been tested with kids or cats yet. jake is a sensi and shy lil guy who is looking for a loving, calm, and patient home with people who celebrate the small wins like when he initiates a snuggle and know that progress takes time. a home maybe with a very patient and understanding older dog to show him the ropes and that life isn’t so scary and show him how to be a dog. he is making great strides in foster but was quite shut down and scared when we first got him. he is working on potty training, crate training, and learning to trust and love. if you adopt him and give him time and gentle constant dedication and support you will have an inseparable unbreakable bond for life💙

peach (along with plum and jake and colby) was found as part of a animal hoarding situation by our friends at skagit humane. she was then in the shelter a little before before being put into a foster home with us. in foster she is living with adults, and other dogs while she works on her confidence. she has not been tested with kids or cats yet. plum and peach are bit more outgoing and brave than the others but still need a calm, patient and understanding family to help them blossom into the best bb doggies they can be. peach is working on crate training and potty training in foster and is getting braver every day. she has shown an inclination to love to snuggle as she gets to know her foster family. she could benefit from having a calm and patient and brave older dog in the home to show her the ropes and not get annoyed w her when she plays like the silly girl she is turning into. peach would thrive in a home with similar adults as well- very understanding and patient and ones that know that healing takes time and so does building trust. if you are excited and able to provide that - with a lil time peach could in turn show you the snuggliest most loving bond🧡
