Story
This gorgeous girl is Evercrisp Apple! She’s as snuggly as they come! She is currently 7 months old and weighs approximately 16 pounds. One of her siblings got DNA tested and here are the (super fun and crazy!) results: 26% Siberian husky 13% Boston terrier 11% great pyranees 8% chow chow 5% American pitbull terrier! What matters most is that she is adorable and is in one of the MOST desperate states in the entire US based on statistics. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from us, it saves their life as well as the life of another in its place. Watch Evercrisp's playful personality here: https://youtu.be/gRHL_xqiXMc?si=lY40_-4TIx3xLhw_ Evercrisp is a bouncy young girl who loves to play. She enjoys spending her time lounging on the dog bed playing with every toy in sight or snuggling between all the warm dog bodies on the couch. She’s big on sunbathing and will lift her head up a tad and close her eyes like she’s soaking up the rays. She’s a clever girl too, so training will be wicked fun! She enjoys showing off her manners too because she’s such a respectful girl! She is currently fostered in a loving home with children and other dogs including 3 blue heelers who she loves to play with! She is currently working on potty training, kennel training (which she loves!) and house training. She is a star! And by star, we mean star of the show. She will win your heart over so fast. It’s her specialty. She loves the outdoors so she would make a great adventure companion whether it’s to the post office or the mountains, she’s ready to ride along! Evercrisp is a petite little sweetheart with big, perky ears that stand tall and proud. She loves playing chase with her doggie friends and always sticks close to the group. Evercrisp is ready for a loving home where she can feel safe and adored. Treats will be your best friend because she is a foodie! You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Huskies are known for being diva-ish, opinionated, and a total vibe- Daphne is only here to affirm the “stero-type.” Daphne has presence and is the full Husky experience - independent, clever, athletic, vocal, and absolutely gorgeous! Take a look and see for yourself then come back to read more! https://youtu.be/NP1moGvOHoI Daphne is estimated to be about 3 years old, she weighs 50 lbs, and I think you could guess- we suspect she is a husky. Of course given she is a rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age, you understand. Huskies often get described as being aloof with other dogs, independent, and not “dog-social” but Daphne would like to challenge that stereotype. Is Daphne dog-social? Absolutely! Daphne doesn’t just “do well” with dogs-she thrives among them. She is fostered in a loving home alongside 5 pitbulls and is a regular at a local doggie-daycare where she plays in groups of 25–50 dogs and slips right into the social scene like she’s been taking notes on play and manners her whole life. Her foster has shared that Daphne understands dog language beautifully, reads dogs energy well, corrects fairly when needed, avoids pointless conflict, and coexists with grace. mGive her a calm but playful companion or let her live solo- she will be content either way. Daphne’s energy shifts depending on the setting. In the yard? She’s on squirrel patrol, sprinting her rounds with purpose and pride. On hikes and adventures? She’s curious, confident, and totally in her element. Indoors? She settles in, stretches out, and becomes a calm companion no matter the time of day. She uses a doggy door like a pro, is fully house trained, and loads into the car with ease and zero drama. A couple things she would like you to know she would prefer to pass on- crates, apartments, cheap treats, and living with a cat. She is willing to negotiate about the crate but you will hear her argument each time you ask her to go into her crate. She won’t drag it out but a little sass is guaranteed. Apartments? Well, she might not mind them but they mind her. The song of her ancestors cannot be contained yet they want to silence her. Plus, how could she possibly continue her diligent monitoring of the squirrels? From a window? I think not! Simply her zest for space, movement, and squirrel management requires a yard and a high enough fence to remind her to patrol but not pursue the squirrels. She does want you to know though (she is proud) her determination plus her athleticism means she can clear things if she wants to. A Husky person will understand and adore her! She might even be the dog that turns you into a husky devotee! True to her breed, Daphne is smart, capable, treat-picky, and wonderfully expressive. She knows sit, loves chase and swimming, and can handle mouthy but appropriate play with dogs she trusts. She isn’t super cuddly (Husky) but she is affectionate, she gives kisses, adores gentle closeness, and will make her requests for belly rubs very clear. Her dream home? Well in Daphne’s perfect world: ✔ A yard (non-negotiable) ✔ No cats (cousin to squirrels, she is sure of it!) ✔ A calm, respectful dog companion OR happy solo life ✔ A Husky-savvy adopter who loves independence as much as affection ✔ Older kids are fine—she’s been great with a 7 year old and an 11-year-old ✔ A quieter or suburban area, not a dense city She isn’t a dog for someone wanting a couch-only snuggle buddy. She is a dog for someone who understands the magic of a Husky: independent, hilarious, athletic, loyal and full of personality. And of course, because Daphne has opinions, she would love to share them with someone who listens. In return you will get… ✔ A confident, steady, beautifully social Husky. ✔ A dog who handles new dogs with ease. ✔ A yard companion who keeps squirrels humble and at bay ✔ A clever friend who speaks in woo-woo monologues. ✔ A loyal partner for adventures big and small. She may not be right for everyone but for that one, she is going to be the unforgettable one. Ready to welcome Daphne home? Story
Rory is one of those dogs who just blossoms when she knows she’s safe and loved. From the moment her foster got her home she knew she was going to going to get to see her in full bloom and she absolutely has. Although I spent a few hours with Rory, enjoyed her company and got to know her more, most all of what is shared here is from her devoted foster. With a front row seat she has the best view. Take a look at her beautiful view, get to know Rory a little more and then come back to read more. https://youtu.be/uApRznAenJU At home, Rory’s an absolute sweetheart. No accidents here! She’ll let you know when she needs to go out, usually by whining and giving you that classic “let me out, please!” look. She’s a big fan of toys and loves playing fetch, though she might not always bring it back to you, its kind of her way of taking a break. She’s definitely part couch potato too – or in her case chair potato. Her favorite place to curl up is on the armchair, where she goes from happily watching TV with you to full on snoring. You’ll still be able to hear the tv though, they are just quiet little snores. Rory is estimated to be 5 years old, weighs 57 lbs, and may be a husky/lab mix. Of course, she is a rescue so age and breed are not details we can guarantee. Rory’s foster praises her for being friendly with people and great with kids. She shared that her two- and three-year-old niece and nephew adored her, and she was always so gentle and patient with them. On top of a variety of dogs, Rory met a two-month-old puppy during a recent visit at a family friends house and had fun playing and was so sweet on him. She lives with dogs and has met all sorts of dogs, big, small, young to old. She can be a bit shy during on-leash greetings but is polite and if she is not feeling comfortable she will simply keep on walking. Rory is definitely more of a dog-companion than a dog-playmate with her best match being easy-going dogs that don’t feel the need to push or insist she play. She doesn’t mind gently letting them know in her own doggy way that she isn’t interested and then moves on. Rory has basic leash skills and continues to learn in new environments. She recently got to tag-along for a pet-store run and was very polite but a little unsure of walking next to the cart but settled in after just a few minutes. Clearly she is a smart cookie and picks things up quickly. Her foster has praised her crate manners, calling her a rock star! She is quiet and settles into sleep easily. She also knows basic commands including “sit”and “lay down.” She also learns quickly and takes correction well. We would love to see Rory in a home with a yard, adding a family with kids to that scene would be the true dream. Rory does not need another dog in the home, her people and a few toys will fill her bucket each and every day. The only no we would encourage is no cats. Her foster has cats and will attest to her attempts to get a good game of chase in when she first met them. They are kept separate now after one curious moment turned into a little too much excitement, so a cat-free home is best. Overall, Rory is a loving, fun, and smart pup who’s just waiting to be part of your family. She’s come so far in such a short time and is ready to keep learning and loving with you by her side. If you’re looking for a loyal buddy who’s as happy exploring the world as she is snuggling up for TV time, Rory’s your girl! Ready to make the first move? We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. Meet Walker, your future best friend and professional cuddle tester. Walker is the kind of dog who makes friends instantly. The second he met us he ran right up with pure excitement, happy hops, and tail wags. He absolutely loves people and thrives off of affection, attention, and being part of whatever you’re doing. Walker is a total social butterfly with the other dogs. He played amazingly with every dog he met no matter the size or personality, after a good play session and getting his Zoomies out he’s more than happy to switch into cuddle mode. He came inside, hopped on the couch and settled in while soaking up all the pets.I even wrapped him in a blanket and he was ecstatic over it. To see him wrapped like a burrito in the blanket check out his YouTube video https://youtu.be/Q2Q9J0d7nDE?si=xomsAEgv186e0g3L Treats are walkers weakness (and his motivation) training should be a breeze with them. Walker could use a little leash polishing, but he is smart and an eager boy who wants to do well. He did nicely meaning our cat and was very friendly, but because he is a bit jumpy we’d want to do more testing before placing him in a home with a cat as accidental bumps could happen. He did so good with kids, he met 2 younger boys around 8 years old who were being rough and Rowdy, Walker did great he didn’t mind all the chaos or noise. The boys were even play wrestling and Walker was such a good boy not disrupted by it at all. He is super tolerant to all touch from kids. He would do amazing living with kids! Walker is a beautiful husky -Dutch Shepherd mix(no promises) he is about a year old and weighs 63 pounds. He’s athletic active and would do best in a home with a yard where he can run play and get his energy out before settling in for snuggles. Walker is truly the best of both worlds- playful, affectionate, energetic and cuddly. He’s ready to be someone’s adventure, buddy and lazy Sunday companion. 🌸 Darling Delilah 🌸 Meet Darling Delilah — the ultimate gentle soul and cuddle connoisseur! This serene, sweet girl is the definition of peaceful companionship. She’s quiet, polite, and affectionate in the most heart-melting way. Delilah loves soft squeaky toys, sunbathing in the yard, and cozy mornings filled with snuggles. She’s perfectly house-trained, delightfully low-maintenance, and has an old-soul calmness that makes every moment with her feel peaceful. She’s dog-friendly and truly enjoys their company, but she’d much rather be the only dog in the home... she prefers to keep her person all to herself. Right now, she’s living with quite the crew, from goofy puppies to big adult dogs and even a tiny chihuahua, and she handles it all like a pro. She’s not into rowdy playtime, but she’s perfectly content sharing space and watching the chaos with her calm, “cool aunt” vibe. She’d do great with another mellow, easygoing dog who just likes to hang out and visit her home from time to time… but she’d be the happiest being your one and only. Go watch Delilah's video here to see what she's all about! https://youtu.be/c6RDfEGPsB0?si=FRzpErgKgC6DJp5N Delilah’s ideal day includes a leisurely morning walk, a little toy time (especially anything that squeaks), a long nap in the sun, and of course — snack time. She’s even been known to do a joyful zoom back to the house after a good potty break, just to celebrate her success. She’s low-energy, never destructive, and has perfect manners indoors. She sleeps through the night without a peep and patiently waits until morning to go outside. Truly, she’s a dream dog for someone who appreciates calm companionship over chaos. She’s brave with all sorts of noises — thunder, vacuums, trash trucks, fireworks — none of it fazes her. She enjoys walks and short hikes (though she’s politely requested somewhere cooler than Texas, please). She’s also the perfect work-from-home buddy: quiet, content, and always close by if you need a little furry comfort during your day. Now, here’s where Delilah’s sweetness shines even brighter — she’s a little shy at first. New people and new places can make her a bit uncertain, and she might take a few days (and some gentle patience) to fully relax. But once she realizes she’s safe and loved, she bonds deeply and adores her people with her whole heart. She’ll follow you from room to room, greet you like you’ve been gone for ages (even if it’s only been five minutes), and roll over for morning snuggles that will melt you completely. Delilah would do best in a calm, stable home — ideally with homebodies or someone who’s around most of the time. A house with a yard is perfect for her, since busy apartments and lots of foot traffic can make her nervous. She’s happiest in a peaceful environment where she can truly relax and just be. She’s not a fan of cats — they’re a little too interesting to resist — but she’s wonderful with respectful dogs and absolutely adores her people once she knows them. She hasn’t lived with young children, but we think she’d do great with older, dog-savvy kids who understand her gentle personality. Delilah may take a little time to bloom, but when she does, she’s magic — loyal, loving, goofy in the best way, and full of quiet joy. She’s not looking for adventure; she’s looking for home. A soft couch, some sunshine, a few squeaky toys, and someone to love her forever. If your idea of happiness is slow mornings, cozy evenings, and a calm best friend who will love you endlessly… Darling Delilah is waiting for you. 💖 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Sandy is as sweet as her name! This gentle 9-month-old pup has the dreamiest sandy-colored coat that’s as soft as velvet—perfect for endless snuggles on the couch. She’s a total heart-stealer with her soulful eyes, sweet personality, and calm, cuddly nature. If you’re looking for a puppy who’s just as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside, Sandy is your girl. See her sweet self shine in her video! https://youtu.be/iHT-t4KC_aA?feature=shared She’s believed to be a Husky/Shepherd mix (though with rescues, it’s always a bit of a guess), but what’s certain is that she’s full of love. Sandy’s favorite spot is in a warm lap, soaking up affection, and she adores her people once she feels safe and secure. In her foster home, Sandy has been learning all about family life with both dogs and cats. She loves playing tug-of-war with her foster dog sibling and enjoys joining her foster dad for walks. She even takes treats gently when hanging out with her sister pup. Around cats, she can be a little unsure at first, but with time, she’s learning how to live peacefully alongside them. Sandy is still shy in new places and around new faces. At first, she may prefer to hang back or find a cozy spot to watch from, but with patience and love, she warms up and shows her affectionate, playful side. Another medium-energy dog in the home would be a wonderful confidence-booster for her. Because she’s sensitive, Sandy wouldn’t thrive in an apartment or city setting—she’ll do best in a quieter home with space to stretch out and time to settle in. She’ll likely seek out safe little nooks in her new home at first, but over time, she’ll blossom into a loving, loyal companion who just wants to be close to her people. If you’re searching for a gorgeous, soft, and affectionate puppy who needs just a little extra patience to shine, Sandy is waiting to steal your heart. She’s ready to bring her sweetness, her snuggles, and her beautiful sandy glow into a forever home that will love her for the gentle soul she is. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
It doesn’t stop there!
Story
Meet Midnight — the tall, stunning, floppy-eared dreamboat with eyes as warm as melted chocolate and a coat that glows like bronze in the sunshine! 🌙✨ This 3-year-old Malamute/Husky mix (we think!) is basically the canine version of a supermodel… if that supermodel also happened to be a total goofball who loves belly rubs, splashy pool parties, and zooming in circles just for the joy of it. From the moment you meet him, Midnight’s charm is impossible to resist. He’s got that big, easy grin, a tail that never stops wagging, and a “hi, I love you already” kind of energy that makes you instantly fall head over heels. When we met him, he popped his head out the car window just to say hello — tail thumping, eyes sparkling, already making friends before his paws even hit the ground. That’s Midnight in a nutshell: confident, happy, and so full of life. Watch Midnight's personality shine in his video! https://youtu.be/zD5VOftQENw?si=Q2MOviX1hAr6ljAz He’s also seriously affectionate. The minute you crouch down, he leans his whole big body into you for pets and kisses, like he’s trying to soak up every ounce of love you’ll give him (and then some). He’s that perfect mix of adventure dog and cuddle bug — equally thrilled to go on a long hike or flop beside you on the couch like a giant, fuzzy blanket with legs. And when it comes to dog friends? Midnight is an absolute blast. 🎉 He’s super social and loves to play rough-and-rowdy style with his buddies — big bouncy play bows, zooming laps, goofy wrestling, and lots of splashing in the kiddie pool mid-play just because he can. He does great with confident, playful dogs (especially sassy females who can keep up and tell him when to chill). He’s got that big personality that other confident dogs love, and once the play settles, he’s happy to lounge and soak up the vibes. He’s the kind of dog who’d be perfect for someone who loves adventures — hikes, beach trips, park playdates, or just neighborhood strolls where everyone stops to say “wow, he’s gorgeous!” (which, trust us, they will). Despite being part husky, Midnight’s surprisingly quiet — he doesn’t have much to say, he just wags, wiggles, and wins hearts wherever he goes. Midnight would thrive in a home with a yard to romp around in or an active person or family who wants a loyal, silly, handsome sidekick for all their outings. He’d do great with kids and loves being part of the fun. He’s one of those dogs that just fits right into the rhythm of family life — happy to go, happy to stay, as long as he’s got his people and plenty of love. Did we mention how ridiculously good-looking he is? Because truly, this boy could be on the cover of Dog Vogue. His rich brown coat shines in the light, his fur looks like velvet, and his expressive face always looks like he’s smiling. Add in his long legs, fluffy tail, and slightly dorky zoomies, and you’ve got yourself a dog who’s both model material and comedian of the year. Midnight is the total package — stunning, sweet, playful, and full of personality. He’s the kind of dog that turns heads, steals hearts, and makes every day brighter just by being his big, silly, perfect self. 💕 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
**This dog is not in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes. Rather we are assisting his current owner with rehoming him (at no fault of his own). If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application here: https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform** Gray — Smart, Sweet, Sun-Loving Senior Breed: Malamute / Alaskan Cattle Dog Mix Color: Black & White Sex: Male Age: 9 years, 4 months Estimated Birthdate: 07/23/2016 Gray is a bright, eager-to-please senior who combines intelligence with gentle affection. Highly trainable and sweet, he gets especially excited when he thinks it’s time for a walk, often “talking” in adorable howls. He enjoys lounging quietly in the sun, making him the perfect mellow companion for a calm household. Gray adores children of all ages, is patient and gentle, and is well socialized with other dogs. He may chase cats, squirrels, or rabbits, so outdoor supervision is recommended. One of his cutest habits is patiently waiting for apple cores while his family enjoys their slices—tail wagging, of course! Gray has food allergies and takes 8mg of Chlorpheniramine twice daily with meals, but otherwise, he has no behavioral issues. This mild-mannered, confident senior is a loving, loyal companion who will bring joy, warmth, and intelligence to any home.
