Story
Blizzard was put on the euth list as his 90 days came to an end. He was brought into the shelter as a stray, and the people fell in love with him, and begged us to adopt him when we were really there for another dog that we also saved. We found a home for the other dog, but we have no place to put Blizzard as we have our own pets and landlords etc. He is dominant around other dogs but does like them. He would do well in a family with no dogs as well and he likes walking on his leash, exercising and playing at the beach. He would probably love the snow as well. He’s very trainable and he loves snuggling. We don’t have any place to put him as the shelters are full. The fosters are full in California and we can’t bring him back to his old shelter because he will be euthanized within 72 hours if he is returned please help if you can. He’s probably not a dog park kind of dog, but he would make a fantastic pet for someone who wants to be with him a lot. He loves the car too.

Story
Akira IS AVAILALBE (updated 05-06-2024).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Akira, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=21954&name=AkiraAkira is a 7-year-old female Husky/Malamute mix who weighs around 65 pounds. She is a sweet and loving companion who likes to snuggle and play, is friendly to everyone (except cats), and plays great with other dogs when at daycare/boarding. She is great with kids, very patient and gentle with the two toddler boys in the home, and loves to act as a vacuum for them at meal time.Akira is housebroken, and currently sleeps freely on doggy beds inside the home, but is crate trained. She loves to take walks and play, but does know how to turn off that Husky energy. Akira knows basic commands and takes to learning new thing quickly, especially when treats are involved. No howling, though she will let you know when she wants something, which are usually pets and snuggles. She is an absolute sweetheart and would benefit from an active family with lots of love and attention to give. The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.May 6, 2024, 6:03 am

Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s on the small side for a husky but make no mistake, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s your typical young, super-energetic, rough and tumble husky. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s in a foster home with multiple dogs and is doing great. She is learning her manners but in usual Husky fashion she forgets them more often than not. She would do best with an active family and another high energy dog to play with. Story
Winnie is a Husky Mix approximately 1-1.5 years old. This little girl’s eyes sparkle, especially her blue one! She is so beautiful!!! She’s a petite husky mix and the perfect size to tag along with you everywhere! She came to our event last Saturday and although she was scared, she was so well-mannered! She loved on everyone and got along with all the other dogs around her. We can’t wait to see her full personality once she gets settled! Cookie was rescued from the pound before they put her down and she is now looking for her FURever home! Let us know if you’d like to meet her!
