Story
Meet CeCe! After 14-year-old CeCe’s mom and dad passed away just months apart, a neighbor stepped in to care for her in their home while arrangements were made. As the sale of the house drew near, her caregiver became increasingly concerned about finding CeCe a loving, permanent home. That’s when he learned about our Final Wish Program and entrusted CeCe to our care. CeCe has a gentle, loving nature towards everyone, whether they have two or four legs! She is wonderful with other dogs and cats and seems to have special place in her heart for children. She is so patient and soaks up their hugs. CeCe has been on several Frosted Flings and earns glowing reviews everywhere she goes. It's no different in her current foster home, as her foster mom's update shows: "CeCe is gentle as ever. We figured out that when we catch her staring at a wall, it's not because of dementia, it's because she thinks she's standing in front of a door and she's waiting to be let in or out! Sweet girl doesn't make any sounds, she just stands there and waits. CeCe loves being scratched on the side of her face and just melts into it all the way to the floor. Her sploots are so funny, and when we ask her if that's comfortable, her response is to go to sleep. The sounds she makes when she sleeps are just the cutest! CeCe's been slowly gaining weight and also strength! Her personality is starting to show more and more as she feels stronger. Yesterday was the first time CeCe showed any interest in leaving our property and tried to make a run for it. (Tried being the key word!) We're taking this as a sign that she's ready to go on walks again. CeCe is and would be the best comfort dog for anyone looking for a companion!" CeCe has been through so much loss and change during the past two years, and we want the rest of her life to be spent as a cherished family member in a loving home. Might that be with you? Please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org to schedule a time to meet this very special girl!

Story
Simba has spent too long waiting for his forever family. 💔 This strong and spirited Akita-Husky mix is full of energy, loves his toys, and is happiest on long walks or playing with his human. He’s sweet, loyal, and ready for the right home. If you’re looking for a dog with personality and heart, Simba is waiting to meet you! 🐕 Adopt Simba: https://form.jotform.com/221926016430144 Full profile: Simba is a 6-8-year-old Akita-Husky mix with the personality of an Akita and the heart of a lion. He’s playful, sweet, and full of energy but needs a confident and strong adopter who understands his needs. 💪 Strength & Training: Simba is powerful and can pull when excited, so he needs someone physically capable of managing his strength. He’s learning commands like sit, down, paw, and “potty” and thrives with structure. A harness might help with his pulling. 🐾 Energy & Personality: Simba is not always a couch potato! He loves long walks (2+ miles is no problem), playing with his toys, and getting plenty of attention. He’s affectionate and cuddly but always ready for adventure. 🏡 Home Needs: Simba would do best in a home without small children due to his strength and energy. He’s good with other dogs, especially more timid ones, but does best with boundaries around toys and space. He’s also quite the counter-surfer, so keeping things out of reach is key! 🐕 Health: Simba has a thyroid condition that is managed with treatment, giving him renewed energy and playfulness. Simba has had a lot of love and care from his foster, but he’s ready to find his forever home. If you’re looking for a strong, loyal, and playful companion, Simba could be your perfect match. 💙 Ready to meet Simba? Apply to adopt him and give this big-hearted boy the home he deserves. 📌 Share to help Simba find his forever home Currently being cared in Southern California, but can be transported up to northern states, such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and anywhere within the US continental, if a great suitable family is willing to adopt him.

Story
Lilo and Odin were found wandering the streets in our neighborhood, and we did not want them to get hurt, so we managed to bring them to safety. We took them to the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility, where we discovered they were microchipped. We were thrilled to reunite them with their family, but unfortunately, when we tried to return them, their owner could not take them back due to health issues. Since we already have dogs, we can not keep them, but if we did not have pups we would keep them in a heartbeat. After having them for a few days we took them to the shelter, but when we got there, we were told it’s unlikely they’d be adopted together. Knowing how strong their bond is, we could not bear to separate them. After much thought, we’ve decided to find Lilo and Odin their perfect home ourselves. We’re looking for a loving person or family who is truly ready to give them the care, love, & commitment they deserve. Apply now! Applications now being reviewed.

Story
Nala is a purebred akita. She has been rehomed now 4 times now so i’m trying to find her a forever home. She’s very sweet and has tons of energy. Would prefer her to move into a home with a backyard, but has been an apartment dog so if needed. She may do better either being an only dog or in a home with a younger dog than her. She comes with a crate, her bowl, some toys, and her leash.

Story
Kito reminds us of those popular dog toys, the Squishmallow's. No one told him he was an Akita and is supposed to be stoic, protective and scary. He is ALL wiggles, smiles and LOVES his volunteers and rescue teams. The world outside is still kind of scary but with each event hes getting better and better. Before he would frantically spin the entire walk, but now he will patiantly sit on the grass at our Point Loma event or on a Pack Walk. True to any large dog, he doesn't know hes massive and anyone sitting on the grass is bound to have a Kito as a lap warmer. He loves hugs, brushes and being told how darn good looking he is. He is quite large, so he will need someone strong and well grounded to walk him in the event something spooks him unexpectedly. Although he's never met a person he didn't like, due to size, we are saying no kids under the age of 15, he's just WAY too goofy and tall. Because of my Flight Risk I cannot be left unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures and my new family must be aware of open doors and windows.  No off leash activites for life in unfenced areas.  I need to stay safe.To adopt: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/37765/genericTo foster: https://petstablished.com/foster_form/37764/genericEmail: awayhomefordogs@gmail.com ##1305366##
