Story
*This is a courtesy listing for a dog available for adoption through Grandma Betty's Animal Rescue.* Meet Dorian! Dorian is a 6-7 year old neutered Akita mix who is available for adoption in San Diego, CA. He is such a good boy and loves other dogs, big and small! Dorian was caught as a stray in 2022 and then spent 680 long dogs in a shared concrete kennel at South LA shelter, rarely getting human interaction or walks. Somehow this didn't break his spirit. He is just a happy, spunky guy who is grateful for everything. Dorian is as loyal and loving as they come. He is crate trained, potty trained, and knows several commands. He can be nervous around strangers, but once he knows you, he loves you for life! Dorian is dog friendly, and he is an absolute goofball when he plays. Dorian loves to go for walks (cue the happy hops) and crash for a nap next to his person. He would be fantastic with a person with Akita experience or someone who understands/has researched the breed. Dorian is up to date on vaccines, and currently on flea tick and heartworm medication. Overall. he's in good health, and he weighs 80 lbs. We recently did his DNA test with Embark, and he is an Akita Inu, American Akita, Pittie mix. Dorian is available through Grandma Betty's Animal Rescue. If you are interested in meeting this special boy, you may: - Contact his foster mom Megan at (858) 699-4219 - Email the rescue at adoptions@grandmabettysanimalrescue.com - Or fill out an adoption application on their website: grandmabettysanimalrescue.com *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*

Story
Dorian is looking for his forever home!! Dorian was pulled from the shelter after spending 680 long days - nearly 2 years in LAs shelter system. Despite spending 2 years in an outdoor concrete kennel, with minimal human interaction, he held on to hope and has been the most resilient boy. Most dogs don’t last that long in high kill shelters, but Dorian was a staff favorite. He did well with volunteers who brought him out for play groups and they advocated for him to keep him alive. But still somehow no one wanted to adopt him. We saw a post about him and immediately knew we had to get this boy of that environment and into a foster home. Since then we have all fallen in love! We now understand why he was a staff favorite. He's the silliest Akita Inu mix, and he's as loyal and loving as they come. He is extremely handsome and the sweetest, most easy going guy. Dorian is crate trained, potty trained, and knows several commands. Dorian is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and currently on flea tick and heartworm medication. Overall. he's in good health, and we believe he is around 6-7 years old and weighs 80 lbs. We recently did his DNA test with Embark, and he is an Akita Inu, American Akita, Pittie mix. If you’d like to see videos of Dorian you can visit the instagram page @fenwayfluff and see the story highlight called “Dorian”. He is currently being fostered in San DiegO

They don't come better than our Lilly.  Super loyal and follows you everywhere. No barking. Rides in cars, plays gently with other dogs/pups and greets everyone with love that she meets. No shedding like a husky. This fun loving pup does great with kids and other dogs whether they be big or small.  Lilly loves to go on walks and would make a great hiking buddy.  She is a natural born adventurist.  Lilly is learning to play with toys but would rather just lay at your feet and get belly rubs. She hangs out in professional office buildings during day and loves everyone and they love her!  Lilly is potty trained, leash trained and sleeps through the night.  She prefers to snuggle with her human.   ##1925388##

Story
COURTESY POST Skye is a handsome boy who was recently rescued off the deadline list at a Southern CA shelter. During his shelter stay, he was kenneled with a female husky, and also met a shepherd while all 3 were in the play yard together, therefore we feel Skye would do well both in a home as an only dog or joining a home with other dogs as he likes to play. Skye had originally do, came into the shelter as a stray. He is already neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Skye is approximately 5 years old and 52 lbs. He is being fostered in Orange County. Please reach out if you are interested in meeting Skye.
