Story
'Courtesy' Sweet and loving Husky boy, affectionately referred to as Dimitri is looking for a forever home. This big boy is under one years old and is very energetic and loving. He is currently in a home with a small child and has been observed to do great with the child and other dogs. Dimitri has a calm demeanor indoors with people, but requires lots of stimulation and physical activity as per his breed’s requirements and age. He will do great in a pack, and/or with physically active owner(s). He has not yet been crate trained, and may need to be observed alone as he has been both great alone indoors and at times troublesome. This is all dependent on his mental stimulation and physical activity. It is recommended for first time Husky owners to research the breed as they are very special dogs. Highly intelligent and stubborn but one of the most incredible breeds. Dimitri should be adopted into a family that will nurture him, provide him with a yard and a doggy bed indoors to avoid the Florida heat that can be detrimental on the Husky breed. Dimitri is a chaser so families with cats must be cautious. He is young enough to train and redirect but he will pursue a cat and small animals and insects. It is recommended to ease him in and to dedicate the time needed to redirect that behavior. He does love to play fetch and will fetch balls, sticks and even frisbees. He enjoys running and playing and will adjust well with any dog breed. Because of his size and age it would be best that he be mixed with medium and larger sized dogs to avoid any rough play accidents. He is a useless guard dog (haha) and will only seldomly howl and he will “Husky talk” to you often. Currently Dimitri is unaltered but will be neutered prior to adoption.   November 5, 2024, 4:31 pm

Story
This is Blue, he has been with us since he was a young pup. We acquired him through a rescue from a family that was unable to keep in where they lived. He has been with us ever since, living with our children and 3 other dogs. He is fixed with his shots up to date. He is a playful dog, loves to go out on walks. He loves to play with you and is very affectionate. He does not bark but will talk with you. We keep him in doors but we do let him outside to run around in the yard all the time. If you meet him you will fall in love with him right away.

Story
Beautiful Bella is a sweet, calm Husky with one blue eye and one brown. Bella had spent a lot of her youth stuck in a crate, and then in the next home, she spent several years living outside in the Florida heat. Bella is currently in a loving foster home, and they say she's a perfect house guest. She is potty trained and walks great on a leash. She does well meeting other dogs and just loves getting attention from people. She doesn't enjoy being left alone, and being a Huskey, she is a little vocal about it so a house or townhouse would be ideal for her future home. Bella arrived at our shelter very overweight, but a healthy diet and exercise has brought her down to 95lbs. Her new favorite food is frozen peas! Bella is about 8-years-old and a healthy girl that's spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
