Story
Hi, I'm Marimo! I was found by a lovely lady who took me into her home for a couple days and loved and cared for me. Unfortunately, she was unable to keep me so she brought me to Abandoned Pet Rescue. I would follow her everywhere and she said I was very well-behaved in her home. She had other dogs that I was friendly with as well! I'm a very sweet 4-year-old Husky that loves affection and company. I'm gentle, walk well on a leash, and am a clever girl like many Huskys so it would be ideal to find a home that knows my breed. I'm just 45lbs with stunning blue eyes and I am fully vetted and ready for adoption! To adopt Marimo please fill out an application at AbandonedPetRescue.org : Fort Lauderdale's No-Kill Animal Shelter. To meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

Story
Hi! I'm Archiles, a bundle of joy wrapped in fur. I love cuddles and have a curious mind that's always ready for a new adventure. I'm quite the smarty too, so we can learn new tricks together! I've got lots of energy and love playing, but I'm also gentle and sweet, making me a great companion. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share all my love. I'm altered, microchipped, and heartworm positive, but don't worry, with a little care, I can be your perfect furry friend. Adopt me and let's start our journey together!

Story
Meet Axel! A loyal four-and-a-half-year-old Siberian Husky mix currently in Cleveland, TN, whose tricolor coat and icy blue eyes are only outshone by his unwavering devotion to his people. Axel is the definition of a “velcro dog.” Deeply bonded to his caregiver, he’s happiest when he’s right by your side whether you're working from home, relaxing on the couch, or just moving from room to room. At 70 pounds of gentle strength, Axel brings a calm, steady presence indoors with moderate energy and a love for chewy bones, leisurely neighborhood strolls, and pampering sessions with a vacuum brush (yes, he adores it!). He does shed like a fluffy snowstorm, but brushing becomes a sweet moment of connection. Well-trained with a solid grasp of commands like sit, lay down, shake, and stay, Axel is eager to please and respectful of home boundaries, even without a crate. He’s done well during boarding stays and car rides, and is comfortable being alone during the day, making him a wonderful companion for someone who works remotely or has a flexible schedule. Axel thrives in a predictable, calm environment and would do best in a home without other dogs. While he has lived with a cat peacefully, a household with no other pets (or possibly one calm cat) would be most compatible. He is dog-selective and shows leash reactivity on narrow trails or busy hikes, so quiet walks in open spaces suit him best. Although he shows mild guarding behavior toward his caregiver, such as a low growl around certain pets, he’s never shown aggression and is easily managed with awareness and positive reinforcement. Though the vet's office isn’t his favorite place, Axel is otherwise in great health, neutered, and up to date on care. His perfect match will be someone familiar with the Husky breed, someone who understands both their grooming needs and their emotional depth. If you’re searching for a quiet, affectionate companion who will always be by your side (and possibly on your lap), could Axel be the devoted friend you’ve been hoping for? Story
Meet Lola! A spirited one-and-a-half-year-old Siberian Husky mix currently living in Pelham, AL, whose dazzling black, tan, and white coat is made even more enchanting by one brilliant brown eye and one sparkling blue. She’s the perfect balance of fun-loving energy and mellow charm always ready for a walk or a game of tug, but just as content to stretch out for some belly rubs afterward. Lola’s personality is as bright as her eyes! She’s wonderfully social, winning over people and dogs alike with her friendly and affectionate nature. At daycare, she’s a favorite playmate, joyfully romping with canine friends! On walks, Lola’s tail wags like a metronome set to ‘happy,’ and while she hasn’t shared her home with children, she’s met them with an eager sparkle in her eyes. She’s still young and full of that playful puppy energy, so she’s asked to ‘sit’ before saying hello. House-trained and crate-trained, Lola already knows key commands like “come,” “down,” “stay,” and “crate,” making her an easy companion for those who appreciate a dog who’s both playful and well-mannered. She’s medium-energy, lively enough to join you for outdoor adventures but not bouncing off the walls indoors. A good walk, a game with her rope toy, or some training time will keep her happy and fulfilled! One of Lola’s most endearing quirks is her love for belly rubs, she’ll happily roll over and invite you to give her some love, making it nearly impossible to resist her charm. She’s also a good traveler, though she may get a bit antsy in the car, which only adds to her lively, eager-to-explore personality. Lola’s healthy, vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, so she’s ready to join her new loving home without delay. She would thrive with a caring guardian who will continue her positive reinforcement training and enjoy her social, joyful spirit. Whether it’s hiking a trail, meeting new friends, or simply relaxing together, Lola is ready to fill her family’s life with adventure, laughter, and unconditional affection. Story
Meet Peach, a one-year-old sweetheart with the kind of spirit that makes your heart melt. She came to us on a rainy day, abandoned in a crate with her brother Yoshi right outside our rescue. It was pouring, and seeing them left like that broke our hearts. Since then, Yoshi has found a foster home, but Peach is still waiting for her chance. She’s a playful, affectionate girl who absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the world around her. She’s got that adventurous spark and a big heart to match. Peach gets along great with other dogs, especially males, and would do so well in a home where she can be active, loved, and never feel unwanted again. She’s been through so much already and deserves a future full of kindness and stability. Please give Peach the chance she’s been waiting for—you’ll be so glad you did. Story
Meet Brownie, a stunning young Husky who's around 6 years old. Brownie’s story started off rough. He was left tied up for a long time in a garage with no love or companionship, but despite everything, he's come such a long way. At first, he was unsure and guarded, but with time and patience, he’s opened up to our volunteers and shown us what an amazing dog he truly is. Brownie is sweet, gentle, and full of playful energy once he feels safe. He loves playing with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine buddy. He just needs someone who understands that all he wants is a little time to warm up. Once he does, you'll see the goofy, affectionate, and fun-loving side of him that makes everyone here smile. Brownie is ready to start a new chapter filled with love, adventures, and a family he can finally call his own. Give this beautiful boy a chance and you’ll gain a loyal companion for life.
