Story
This is Autumn - our sweet Husky/German Shepherd mix. She has such a big heart, so much energy, and a love for walks and playtime that could brighten anyone's day. It breaks our hearts to say this, but due to the owner's illnesses, we just can't keep up with her needs anymore. We haven't been able to give her the consistent training and active lifestyle she deserves, and it wouldn't be fair to keep her from a home that can give her that. Autumn needs someone patient, loving, and ready to help her grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be.

`I AM CURRENTLY AT RUCKER DOG TRAINING`Hi, I’m Ferret! I’m an 11-month-old Husky with energy (and sass) for days. I’m a high-energy, active boy who LOVES to play—whether I’m running around with a toy, romping with my kennel neighbors, or chatting away with my friends at HSFC.I get along great with other dogs, I’m learning to walk like a champ on a leash, and I’m always eager to please. Beneath all my zoomies and silliness, I’m a very sweet boy with so much love to give.If you’re looking for an adventurous, active companion who can keep you laughing and on your toes, I’m your guy!Currently, I am available for adoption. If you`re interested in adopting me, please fill out an application online or call the Humane Society of Forsyth County at 770-887-6480. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11-5 or Friday and Saturday 1-5. All my love and hugs, Ferret.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Banks is a 4-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix who’s pretty much the definition of the perfect dog. At 59 lbs., he’s a wonderful medium-large companion, and he’s ready to find a home where he can be the star of the show. This handsome boy is incredibly smart and well-mannered. He’s already crate trained and housetrained, which makes him an easy fit for his future family. With a warm, friendly spirit and a loyal heart, Banks has a way of lighting up every room he walks into. Whether he’s impressing you with his good behavior or simply being by your side, Banks is eager to be your devoted companion. Because Banks thrives on being the center of attention, he’ll do best as the only pet in the household. He also needs a home without cats or very young children. But with all the love and charm he brings, he’ll more than make up for being the one-and-only. Banks currently weighs about 59 lbs., is approximately 4 years old (est. birth date 04/27/2021), and his adoption fee is $185. Banks has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Banks, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt

Story
Meet Sazuki — a resilient and spirited 1-year-old Husky who’s ready to find a loving home to help her heal and thrive. Sazuki was found as a stray after being hit by a car and was immediately brought to one of our partner vets. She needed surgery to repair her front leg, and thanks to our team stepping in, she’s on the path to recovery. She is currently on strict crate rest, but she can be adopted now as long as her adopter is committed to keeping her calm and following her recovery plan until fully healed. Sazuki is housetrained and crate trained, making her a wonderful companion for the right family. True to her Husky nature, she’s high-energy, intelligent, and loves to engage with the world around her. She’s a social butterfly who shows interest in playing with other dogs, though her current crate rest means no roughhousing until she’s fully healed. If you’re ready for a smart, energetic, and loving pup who will flourish with care, patience, and structure, Sazuki may be the perfect addition to your home. She’s eager to recover and show her full Husky personality to her forever family. Sazuki currently weighs about 49lbs., is approximately 1 years old (est. birth date 10/31/2024), and her adoption fee is $315. Sazuki has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Sazuki, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog.
