Story
Hi hoomans, my name is Doli, and I'm in the prime of my life at eight years old. Everyone comments on my sky blue eyes and thick husky-type hair that is every shade of gold you can imagine. My tail is like a fox's - thick, long and curly. At 45 - 50 pounds, I consider myself the perfect size - not huge and not tiny - I'm just right!   I am very chill and quiet. That doesn't mean I don't get excited because I do!  When the hoomans come home, I do a fun little wiggle dance to welcome them!  I would be a great fit for a shared wall situation since I rarely bark. I LOVE being outside, and I like to go on walks and car rides. When I am inside, I have the very bestest manners. I like the security of my crate, but I don't need to be locked in. I sleep in my crate, on the floor, or in the master walk-in closet that I think is my den. I wouldn't dream of chewing up anything. Well, maybe I would DREAM it but wouldn’t actually DO it! I don’t get on the furniture either. I am a little shy around new people, but I warm up quickly and have adjusted fine in my foster home. I am not a fan of other animals, but if I see them out, I just ignore them and hope they go away! I can definitely tell if you have cheated on me while you were out. My sniffer will find the evidence, and you will see the disappointment in my eyes and maybe even my attitude! Hope to meet you soon!  Doli For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online: http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms Be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.          June 3, 2023, 7:31 pm

Story
I'm Giovanna, but tend to answer to anything that starts with a 'G' sound, most often just Gia. I am a 16 month old, Husky mix, but smaller than many huskies at just 35 pounds. I may gain a bit more weight, as I am still considered a puppy. I am potty trained, and can easily go all night without needing to go for a walk at 2 am, but if there is thunder or loud noises, I may get scared and occasionally have an accident.   I was living with a family who moved into a space without a big back yard, and I really do need space to be able to run. I am very quick, love chasing balls, birds, and squirrels, though I don't know why my current foster family laughs when I attempt to climb a tree. The squirrels and family cat seem to do it, so I am not sure why I can't. I have started walking on a front no pull harness, as I started some real training, and it has cut down on my insistence on jumping or chasing after every squirrel, bird or leaf that moves. Walking is great because I get to meet other dogs, and I would love to have another dog to play with without being on a leash.   I am currently living with a cat, and I'd like to play, but he has no interest at all and growls at me. I just sit there and watch him, and haven't shown any aggression. I am also in a house with teenagers, and should not be around little kids because at times I do get the zoomies, and could easily knock a child over without intending, too. I used to be in a house where we enjoyed rough housing, and that means sometimes I may get a bit mouthy, have heard that I am a 'resource guarder', but my training sessions are going extremely well, and I've picked up that nipping is not a good idea. I've learned to go to place, am more comfortable in a crate, and understand sit, down, and stay. Playing fetch outside in the yard is probably my favorite game, and I'll fetch balls, or even sticks.   I would love to be in a home with adults or older teens, and, if there is another dog, that would be wonderful as I do love attention. I prefer sleeping in my dog bed or on a bed over being in my crate at night. I also love to bring people objects I find around the house, from low tables or counters, to shoes that may be laying around. I don't chew them, but will be happy to play tug of war, and switch to one of my ropes very easily since it is hard to get a grip on a shoe or teddy bear. If I get attention, either a belly rub or playing fetch with a ball, I am less likely to get into trouble. During the day, that may mean just laying on the ground near the desk where someone is invariably typing at a computer or chatting on a zoom call.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:  Some apartments and neighbo rhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Little Guy is a sweet, spoiled boy that likes nothing better than spending time with his people. He would be a wonderful pup to go hiking with on leash. He and his brother, Dozer, are avid critter chasers and will dig after those critters if not watched. The Husky in him means he needs to stay on a leash but the lab does calm him down some. He still has a lot of puppy in him but has outgrown the worst puppy traits. He also doesn’t mind his crate for short periods and sees it as a safe spot to take a nap. He loves children but may be a bit much for some very small children. He loves to give kisses and attention and small children are the right size to be face to face for those kisses. He also thinks he is a lap dog at times and loves snuggling on the couch. Little Guy can be a little shy around other new dogs and may take a little warming up, he has been around many different foster dogs though. He is on the smaller size, thus his name. If you are looking for a very loyal, loving smaller sized pup then Little Guy may be the perfect addition to your family. The boys have had all of their vaccines, been microchipped and neutered and on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. If you are interested, please fill out an application at www.mushrescue.com or email adopt@mushrescue.com with any questions.

Story
Noel is our special needs girl but we know she has the perfect home out there. She has been diagnosed with a neurological condition that causes her to walk a little differently on occasion and affects her temperament periodically. Noel is expected to live a long happy life, her diagnosis does not impact her life expectancy. She can be somewhat unpredictable and was unsocialized as a puppy so needs to be an only dog in the house. Noel loves her food and her sleep and doesn’t like to be bothered during those times. She is housebroken and crate trained, she LOVES her crate. Noel’s new family would be required to have a fenced yard as she loves to run. They would also be required to provide her with endless toys! She loves loves loves her toys and doesn’t shred them, rather treats them like her babies. Noel will need to have annual neurological exams. She’s a sweet girl and deserves a home of her own. She is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. For more information, please email adopt@mushrescue.com or complete an application https://mushrescue.com/prospective-owner-application/

Story
Luna is one of the sweetest dogs ever! She had a rough start in life and was found on the side of the road with her puppies eating a dead deer... We have had Luna for about a year.. she is a wonderful dog! She is very sweet and can follow basic commands. She loves chasing squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and bugs. She LOVES being outside and really needs a home with a huge yard and a place to run. She prefers being outside but likes to come in and visit and sleep. She is very energetic and a great escape artist. She is house-trained and crate trained. She LOVES her crate and chooses to go in on her own! She loves treats and loves to eat. She is a great food sharer but sneaky hiding her treats. Luna loves riding in the car and she is very good on a leash. She tolerates cats but would not leave her with them unattended. Luna can be mischievous and can not be outside without a lead or a fenced-in yard. Unfortunately, we do not have a yard big enough for her and live near a busy street which is very dangerous. Luna is kid friendly and dog-friendly but will get jealous when it comes to affection. She loves her toys and is a chewer! She has a laundry list of things she loves, though, one thing that is not on that list is being cooped up inside. She is high-energy and needs a family or person who can exercise her. She is basically a triathlete in dog form: -She is a jumper and requires nothing short of a 6ft fence -She is a runner, as are most huskies. -She is a swimmer. LOVES WATER. She is spayed, chipped, and current on vaccines and prevention. If you would like more information on adopting her, please email us at adopt@mushrescue.com. Story
Meet Lexi & Luke! Lexi has the stripe down her nose and Luke has the white clover forehead. This duo is the whole package! Typical husky puppies! They came to us around 4 months old and are now 9 months old. They are spayed/neutered, up to date on all shots, and ready for their furever family! Unless the perfect situation comes up, these siblings MUST be placed together. They currently live with several other huskies and although friendly with other dogs they completely ignore play cues from the others in the pack as they only want to be with each other. They both love their foster dad. Lexi is quite the snuggle bug! A family with older kids (only because they like to playfully jump to say hello) would be fine but must be aware that huskies are escape artists. In addition to loving each other, they LOVE to dig, hence their Georgia red clay coat! They are both crate trained and know to eat in their kennels as well. They are still working on their manners and would benefit from basic puppy obedience classes! Please complete an application if you are interested in these kiddos! https://mushrescue.com/prospective-owner-application/
