Story
Meet Calvin Calvin is a stunning 70-pound Husky / German Shepherd mix with the kindest eyes and the calmest demeanor. Unlike what you might expect from his breeds, Calvin is very low energy and perfectly content enjoying a relaxed, cozy lifestyle. He's much more of a lounge-by-your-side kind of guy than a constant-on-the-go pup. Calvin is extremely loving and affectionate. He bonds deeply with his people and truly enjoys being near them-whether that's resting at your feet, hanging out in his bed, or quietly keeping you company around the house. He has a gentle, easygoing personality that makes him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, loyal best friend. This handsome boy would thrive in a peaceful home where he can soak up love and give it right back. He's happiest when he's with his humans and being part of everyday life. Calvin would do best in a home without cats, but he has so much love to offer the right family. If you're searching for a sweet, mellow, devoted companion who just wants a soft bed, a kind heart, and a place to belong, Calvin may be your perfect match. He's ready to settle into a forever home and be someone's very best friend. Please call or text Teresa at 404-281-8878

Story
King is a 7‑year‑old husky with a striking, handsome look and an even sweeter heart to match. He loves affection—truly loves it—and lights up around people. King thrives on human attention and would make a wonderfully loyal, gentle, and deeply devoted companion. King has done well with other dogs, but because of his high prey drive, he will need a home without small animals, including farm animals. He has been good with kids, though a home with older children is recommended. At his core, King is kind, gentle, and an all‑around good boy. Like many huskies, King is an adventurer. He’s a known escape artist with a strong desire to roam, so he will require a very secure, fenced‑in yard and a family committed to supervising him whenever he’s outside. If left unattended, he may try to dig or find a way to explore beyond the yard. Keeping him safe will take diligence, but the reward is an incredibly loving, affectionate dog who bonds deeply with his people. King is housetrained, has good manners, and would do best with an experienced owner familiar with the husky breed—their energy, intelligence, and unique quirks. With structure, security, and plenty of love, King will absolutely shine. He weighs about 60 lbs, is approximately 7 years old (estimated birthdate 01/29/2019), and his adoption fee is $315. King is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives. If you’d like to know more about King, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to share more information and arrange a meet‑and‑greet. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt.

Story
Meet Dutchess, a beautiful 5-year-old husky-chow mix with a gentle heart and an independent spirit. She’s the perfect blend of sweet and a little aloof—happy to be near her people, but also content doing her own thing. Dutchess is very smart, though she can have a bit of a stubborn streak, so she’ll thrive with an adopter who appreciates her independent nature and can provide consistent guidance. She does well with kids and has a calm, easygoing presence in the home. She’s both crate trained and housebroken, making her an easy addition to a structured household. She enjoys her routines and settles in nicely once she feels comfortable. Like many dogs with a strong prey drive, Dutchess loves to chase, so a home without cats is a must. She’s also quite the escape artist and has a true love for running and exploring. Because of this, she will require a home with a secure, tall privacy fence to keep her safe while she enjoys the outdoors. Because of her tendency to bolt, we’re looking for a home without very young or small children—just to ensure everyone stays safe and stress-free. Dutchess currently weighs about 40lbs., is approximately 5 years old (est. birth date 04/04/2021), and her adoption fee is $315. Dutchess has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Dutchess, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
This handsome boy is Archie! He is 6 years old (born 4/7/2019). I got him from a previous family with cats, but he did not do well with them due to his high prey drive, so he needs a home without small animals. He has a fairly solid recall when maintained, is E-collar trained, and has enjoyed off-leash life. Archie is energetic and needs someone who can meet his mental and physical needs, otherwise he can get into things. He is crate trained, knows basic commands, and loves food—his favorite treat is ice (and yes, he knows the word!).Archie is wonderful with kids of all ages, including babies, and I’ve never seen any aggression toward people. He does well with dogs but can forget his size and has shown some resource guarding with food and toys.I’m looking for someone who can give him the time and activity he deserves.I do still want to be a part of his life, so if you’re okay with giving updates, that would be a benefit.

Story
Ghost is 1 years old and a few months. He is very smart, social and friendly (though likes to jump & lick you when overly excited). Loves walks, run, and play. He’s very independent. He does not respond well when he’s s force to do something (you have to be gentle or make it look like it was his idea). Loves new toys (as he gets bored after a while), anything that’s s different really. He has been raised indoors, and although he’s crate trained, he does not like to be alone. knows basic commands, but he’s a husky and can be very stubborn. I’m looking for someone who will take care of my fur baby and is able to incorporate him as part of a family, and make time to walk him and play with him. He will go with bed, toys, etc. He is up to date on all his vaccinations. He also has a german shepherd companion & would if they could stay together as they are very close. I wouldn’t recommend to first time pet owners as they required daily exercise, training, and play time.
