Story
Meet Copper! Copper is a chatty, loving, and delightfully rambunctious boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He absolutely loves playing with his foster sisters, especially a good game of tug-of-war and if he loses, he will happily “tell you all about it” for a while after. He’s a social little guy who wants to be included in everything. If he’s ready to come inside, you’ll know it… he’ll stand up on his back legs and enthusiastically paw at the door until you let him in. While Copper enjoys being outside, his favorite place is curled up inside on his fluffy bed after a good play session. Copper is full of classic husky charm. He has plenty to say and isn’t shy about it, whether he’s starting up his signature “husky whambulance” or giving his opinion when learning new things like “no.” He already knows how to sit and is continuing to learn, especially with the help of treats, which he loves (freeze-dried bananas and sweet potatoes are favorites, but he’s not picky!). He’s incredibly sweet and affectionate, always ready for kisses and snuggles. He eats his meals with enthusiasm (so much so that he now uses a slow feeder bowl!) and is making great progress with his routine. He currently sleeps on his bed like a perfect angel and is down to waking just once during the night. Copper does have a slight bend in his back leg from birth, which means he may move a little slower at times or need a moment to loosen up if he’s feeling stiff. But don’t let that fool you, it never stops him from playing, exploring, or enjoying life to the fullest. At the end of the day, Copper is happiest when he’s digging in the yard, playing with his people (and dog friends), and then settling in for a long, well-earned nap. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog, a yard to explore, and a family who has the time and love to give him the attention he happily demands. Copper truly is the best boy and he’s ready to bring a whole lot of love (and personality) into his forever home. Story
Barnsley’s story began when she was found wandering alone, unsure and without anyone to call her own. She was brought to animal control, where she waited patiently for someone to see the wonderful dog she is. About a year old, spayed, and microchipped, Barnsley has already shown how resilient she can be. She’s a happy, high-energy girl who truly loves to play. She seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, especially those who understand her rough-and-tumble play style and can keep up with her enthusiasm. When she first came to us, there was concern about a limp in one of her back legs. We had her examined twice to be absolutely sure, and thankfully the vet couldn’t find anything wrong. It may be an old injury or simply something to keep an eye on—but it doesn’t slow her spirit one bit. Barnsley is full of life, love, and possibility. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start a new chapter with a family who will cherish her energy, her heart, and the joy she brings every day. Are you her new family? Story
Little Guy is a sweet, spoiled boy who enjoys spending time with his people. He would be a wonderful pup to go hiking with on a leash. He is an avid critter chaser and will dig after those critters if not supervised. The Husky in him means he needs to stay on a leash, but the Lab in him does calm him down somewhat. He also doesn’t mind his crate for short periods and sees it as a safe nap spot. He loves children, but may be a bit overwhelming for very small ones. He enjoys giving kisses and affection, and small children are the right size to receive those kisses face-to-face. He also thinks he is a lap dog at times and loves to snuggle on the couch. He is on the smaller side, hence his name. If you are looking for a loyal and loving smaller-sized pup, Little Guy may be the perfect addition to your family. LG is current on vaccines, has been microchipped, neutered, and is on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. If you are interested, please fill out an application at www.mushrescue.com or email adopt@mushrescue.com with any questions.

Story
Noel is our special needs girl but we know she has the perfect home out there. She has been diagnosed with a neurological condition that causes her to walk a little differently on occasion and affects her temperament periodically. Noel is expected to live a long happy life, her diagnosis does not impact her life expectancy. She can be somewhat unpredictable and was unsocialized as a puppy so needs to be an only dog in the house. Noel loves her food and her sleep and doesn’t like to be bothered during those times. She is housebroken and crate trained, she LOVES her crate. Noel’s new family would be required to have a fenced yard as she loves to run. They would also be required to provide her with endless toys! She loves loves loves her toys and doesn’t shred them, rather treats them like her babies. Noel will need to have annual neurological exams. She’s a sweet girl and deserves a home of her own. She is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. For more information, please email adopt@mushrescue.com or complete an application https://mushrescue.com/prospective-owner-application/
