Story
Chevelle is the sweetest baby . We don’t know how she would do with kids under 5 or so or ill mannered kids with dogs . Chevelle loves car rides and walks well on a leash . . Chevelle is 3 years old and very spoiled. Only rehoming because neighbors say she killed her chicken and they are going to shoot to kill if they see her on their property again . She plays to rough for small dogs like 10 lb or smaller . Chevelle is a house fur baby . She would need a fenced in yard or she will wonder off and apparently get into trouble. Chevelle thinks she is a small girl of 5 lb . we are will to do a 2 hour drive to meet with her .

Story
Jax is a 3 year old, 50 pound Husky with those trademark gorgeous blue eyes! He will happily curl up with you on the couch and loves belly rubs, but is equally happy going on walks or hiking! He's curious and would do best in an active household. He is house trained and knows how to sit, and would benefit from an owner who is familiar with the breed as he is very intelligent and needs mental and physical exercise! This handsome dog does well with other dogs and is fostered successfully with cats! If you like this breed, Jax is a great choice! If you'd like to meet / adopt Jax, please email us for an application or questions! Email: blueridgerescue@aol.com

Story
Meet BOLT - Paws Behind Bars Trained BOLT is a 5-year-old male, Husky mix who weighs 45 lbs. And yes, he has one brown eye and one blue eye. Bolt's temperament is excellent! He's fun and he's active. His energy was always looking for a job to do so he was the perfect dog for our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. Here, he's received obedience training and the proper amount of exercise (a critical consideration for anyone interested in Huskies). We are also getting a much better glimpse of his personality. These dogs live with their inmate 24/7. The one-on-one attention goes a long way to helping us tell the adopter just what to expect. Bolt is just graduating from the program and is available for adoption now. Our adoption process begins with submission of OUR application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional adoption FAQ's can be found there, too. Thank you!

Story
Clover is a 3 year old female, terrier/husky mix that weighs 47 lbs. She was picked up as a stray so we don't much of a background. What we do know is she is very outgoing and affectionate. Her overall condition and health are good so she had to have had a home. We started on the leash and but the real place to polish those skills, plus basic obedience, is our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. She is currently enrolled and under the guidance of her very own inmate. She lives with him 24/7 and will stay for another 5-6 weeks. By then, we'll know everything there is to know about Clover and will enable us to find the perfect "fit" family for her. Up close and in person, she is gorgeous. She's got crystal blue eyes to go with that diluted brindle coat. If interested in adopting, our process begins with submission of our application. To find this, please visit Clover on our website at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Click on her picture and you'll find the application there. Additional adoption FAQ's can also be found there. Meets will be set with approved applicants. Thank you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Ashley (ha.evans@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. Online Adoption Application › Tripp is a handsome young adult male husky.  He's quite full of himself and LOVES to show off his husky voice.  He's very treat motivated & too smart for his own good sometimes.  He's dog friendly but does have a more dominant / confident demeanor.  Tripp does not see the need to befriend cats.  His prey drive gets the best of him so he's seeking a home with no cats.  Tripp is crate trained & medically up to date.  He's truly a goofball. He loves to run & play - whether that be with himself, with toys or with his furry foster siblings.  He is still working on mastering his manners & can sometimes struggle with meeting stragners politely.  Someone with breed experience would be best suited for Tripp.  Anyone interested in Tripp can apply at https://care.rescuegroups.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 8:26 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Ashley (ha.evans@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet. Online Adoption Application › Bolt is a handsome, energetic, and super sweet boy! DEFINITELY one of the cleanest dogs you will ever meet! Bolt loves everyone he meets and he loves attention. He does well with more submissive dogs. Proper introductuons are a MUST! Sadly cats are no friend of his. He will require  a cat free home. He really wants to be their friend, but doesn't  understand  he can't  play rough like with another dog. Bolt knows basic commands such as ‘sit’ and ‘crate/room’. He is eager to learn and treat motivated. He is super sweet and super smart. He is crate/house trained (currently he has his own bedroom at his foster home and has been a true gentleman). Bolt is a full grown guy and is the SMALLEST husky we have ever seen. He is agile and does the cutest twirl/dance when he is happy and wants attention. He walks well on leash and harness. He will require at least a 5 foot fence b/c he can jump and does have a bit of prey drive (squirrels, etc. drive him nuts). He likes to go outside and run for a bit…potty and then back inside with his family.  If you have any questions please contact his foster mom Jodie. **Contact the email above. All emails and applications  are being forwarded  to Jodie.**Bolt is up to date on  vaccines, microchipped, on monthly  preventatives and neutered.Visit  care.rescuegroups.org for his profile and application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 8:26 pm
